So popped round to see mum after work & bless her, she got a small zip bag full of travel sized toothpaste which she gave me as well as one pack of dreamy cat treats for Loki!
Came home to a free pack of Pukka tea in the post too & got a £5 Amazon voucher courtesy of Swagbucks, yay!
Have dedicated my Saturday to the garden, my sunflower and courgette leaves are looking a bit yellow so need to give the garden a bit of attention!

Morning everyone,
I woke up today feeling.. awful. That doesn't really describe it, so I'm working from home.
(A pitiful amount) of interest was applied to my accounts today, so have had a rubbish saving month as need to pay off the £70.00 CC spend from my rare night out.
Managed to put £20.32 into my ISA bringing the grand total to £675.00 (aim £1k)
Managed to put £6.55 into my Deposit Fund bringing the grand total to £32,125.00 (aim £40k)
Hope everyone has a good day.FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Hi everyone,
Hope you're all well!
I'll be spending this weekend at home: Saturday I need to pick up my vegetable patch cage (as kitten Loki has managed to find his way in and is slowly destroying my veggies!) so I'm popping into town and will later try and rescue as many of my vegetables as possible. I also need to trim the front and rear gardens as they are looking a but grubby!
On Sunday I am going to see my parents as my dad has come back from abroadAll in all a very free & saving weekend
Stressing slightly, I haven't heard back from this job interview I went for - I'm not TOO worried as I did have a veryyy long wait (about a month) to even be told I had an interview.. although a brilliant company to work for, things don't really seem 'urgent' on the recruitment side of things.
In my interview (Friday last week), they said they will get back to me by mid/end of next week (i.e. this week) either way, to either tell me I got through to final stage interview or to let me know I had not & to give me feedback.
Still waiting & I'm sooo anxious!
Tonight I will be chilling in front of the TV, doing surveys and earning my SBs!
Happy Friday
EDIT: As soon as I got home, had to take the little one to vets as he has had gloopy eyes for a few days and alarm bells were well & truly ringing... £50.00 later plus eyedrops, Loki has conjunctivitis
Aghhhhhh bye money, but all for the best!FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Hi everyone!
So.. I could kick myself - Got persuaded to go on a last minute night out with colleagues.
Surprised to say I only spent £30.00 - but this brings my CC up to £100.00.
I always pay it off in full, but annoyed at myself as these 2 social events have cost me £100.00 I could have chucked in the deposit fund.... grrrr!
So I will need to 'raise' as much as I can before the end of the month.... Wish me luck?!FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%
Emergency Savings - £750.00 / £5,000 - 15.00%

Don't beat self up petal I feel like that when I go to a works do. I actually backed out of one this year and it has raised a few eyebrows but it allowed me to have a nice weekend away with my friends as I had a little spare cash. Now I am thinking of things I can fleabay to make up my spending but it is good as I will be de-cluttering my wardrobe. We can do it!Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Thanks Savingwannabe
I have backed out from a wedding at the end of the year (abroad) because initially it was £500.00 pp... paid the deposit & now being asked for nearly £2k.
Some people think that just because they have money to throw about, everyone else does too.
Ebay is really not pulling out the cash for me at the moment. I find I have good months and bad ones, this one so far is a bad one!
Just going to keep my head down for the rest of the month I think...FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Morning everyone!
Trying to avoid getting disheartened, but on the odd occasion, it's quite difficult!
Still not heard back from the job interview. Like I said, I'm not worried yet that I haven't got through to the second stage - they said they would let me know either way via phone or e-mail; AND the company are notoriously bad in regards to sticking to timelines in regards to recruitment (I have someone one the inside)
IMO, that's quite bad for such a large company, but oh well! The advice I have been given from friends & family is not to chase/query with them, as I did when I had not heard back regarding the first face to face stage (which I obviously got through to).
Fingers crossed for the end of the week. I'm still applying for other jobs. As much as I want this, I can't put all my eggs in one basket.
Still signed up for property alerts in Surrey. There doesn't seem to be anything out there atm, or is that just me?
On the plus, I sent off my paperwork for my free Vision2Learn course yesterday, I've also signed up (through different providers), for a free First Aid course and for a PA/EA Online Short course.
I'm hoping these will all keep me busy and distract me from spending money!
Here's to hoping!
Happy Wednesday everyone!:TFTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Eeeeeeeeeeeekk! So I caved today and e-mailed the HR lady who was the person e-mailing me regarding confirmation of my interviews and I asked for a contact number/an update in regards to my application. Literally a 'click send & throw the phone in the opposite direction' moment :rotfl:
This Friday will be two weeks since my second interview (first face to face interview).
One more to go providing I'm selected
Very, very nervous. Still applying elsewhere though. Must be sensible!FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Hopefully you will hear very soon. I think they were rude not to let you know themselves. You were brave to send the email. Good on you.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Hi savingwannabe!
After much Googling, I found the recruitment telephone number for the company and called them - they are still reviewing all the candidates and they "WILL come back to me regardless at this late stage of the interview process".
Phew.. More waiting for me then!
I'm looking forward to this weekend though!
Going to dinner at a friends tonight, can't wait! She is an amazing cook!
Bringing a bottle, but I had that for a while.. so a free Friday!
Saturday I'm popping to town to pick up some work trousers I ordered in case of more interviews (via Quidco) and will be getting them from the store, so free delivery.
Going to potter about in the garden for a few hours them heading to lunch with a friend (will keep this nice & cheap).
Sunday going out with mum, dad, nan and aunty on a boat ride along the Thames. Really looking forward to that, should be a nice day!
Said to dad thanks for the free day! :rotfl:
Prior to going out tonight, I will be Swagbucking and Gifthulking for a few hours
