Morning all!

My previous post (titled the same) was deleted; I think in error as there was a hugeeee spam attack and my post was just before the spam.

I'm going to start where I left off :D
SO: Job interview this morning, eeeeeekk!! Very nervous as I know I could be AMAZING at this job & I want it so badly!
Going to re-read through all the notes I made and bring them with me (I did that at my interview for my current place and they loved that I could prove I'd researched the company)

Moneysaving wise:
- Payday today... Yay!:D Going to sort out my budget before I do anything as want to do my food shop today after my interview.
- Have nectar vouchers to use for my shop (gives me less points, but next month I have a £2.50 voucher coming my way!)
- When I'm home today, I'm going to catch up on surveys,
- £1 roadkill yesterday.

Not much so far, but hoping I amass some savings from my food shop & I'll do an update when I'm home later as budget will be complete!

Happy Friday everyone!

    Hi everyone!!

So forum mods confirmed my post was deleted in error; no big deal - they kindly pasted this into an e-mail for me.
    So if anyone is interested...

    "Hi everyone!
I have a bit of a bad habit of starting a few posts on here and never finishing them!

So: I woke up this morning, had a feeling it was going to be a good day and now would be perfect to really get everything in order.
I need 'something' to track my progress and to hold me accountable... so here I am!

Aims for the rest of the year:
By end of Dec 2015, get my deposit up to £40,000 (currently £32,110.00)
By end of Dec 2015, pay off my car finance (£3k left to go!) - the above two are the biggest (and maybe unrealistic challenges!)
To do both of the above in order to by my first home in Jan 2016 when my tenancy agreement ends.
Save £1,000 'emergency' fund (currently have £650.00)
Clear ALL my clutter (clothes) via selling on Ebay etc. (& make a small fortune in the process)

I am doing the following to try and help me achieve these aims:
I very rarely go out/spend money! (ha!)
    Swagbucks
    Crowdology
    Ebay
    Toluna
    Just signed up for Pinecone
    Quidco
    Roadkill (never have much luck!)
Save my silver & coppers & will change once the pot is full!
    Vouchers/coupons
I will not buy anything if it is full price.

I would love to hear your suggestions and ideas.
I'll try to keep this updated as often as I can!"

So in regards to an update following on from my original post:

Had my job interview! I think it went well...!:T
They will call me back mid-end of next week to confirm if I have been selected for the final interview... eeeeek!

Did a big food shop afterwards (my monthly budget is £100.00 & spent £80.00 so all on target!)
    Found £1 roadkill
As a result of my shop, got a tonne of vouchers which I will be using!
For now until the plumber comes, I will be catching up on surveys :D

Hope everyone is enjoying their day!

    Thank you savingwannabe! :)

It was horrendous, woke up and checked the forum and there were about 40-50 spam posts! Took forever to get to the genuine posts! They've all been deleted now.

Ahhh yes that is one of my 'old' threads that never really went anywhere :rotfl:

    I have everything crossed!

    Morning everyone!
So I went out last night (for the first time since 17th March!) for a good friends birthday
Got a cab to the venue (only £7, so not too bad), paid for entry, 2-4-1 on drinks and managed to get a very lovely person to give me a lift home at 3am :j

Spent £60.00 all in all, including cab, drinks and entry to venue. Bit more than I wanted, but I used my credit card so I can keep track & I won't be spending money for a while anyway!
I will pay that off in full, so not TOO bad really.

Saw a good friend for lunch today, her treat as I drove, so that was nice!
Now I am back at home, I'll be catching up on surveys.

    Found £1 roadkill
Got a free sample of Go Cat Crunch
Another free sample of Purina pet food.

I'm waiting for my bank to add the monthly interest to my accounts before I put away any more into my savings.
Will update as soon as I can!:j

    How has everyone's Friday/Saturday been?

    Hi everyone! :hello:

Considering Friday was my 'cheat night', I think I've had an OK weekend money-saving wise!

    - Interest still hasn't been applied to my bank accounts - I think this will be tomorrow so I can calculate how much I can save then.
    - It's my grandmothers and friend's birthday this month so I have budgeted £20 (max for each gift).
Managed to get my friends for £17.00 and after racking my brain and discussing with mum what to buy for my nan, we've settled on flowers as she doesn't want for anything; so that will be under budget too.
    - Very close to my £5 voucher on Swagbucks; only 100 points to go, but I've exhausted all means today!
    - Managed to buy a christening gift (a personalised christening shawl) for a christening I will be going to at the end of the month - Managed to get this down from £50.00 to £30.00, so happy about that as I budgeted a maximum of £40.00 for that gift.

I am struggling to think of ways I can 'raise' the £60.00 I spent on Friday, without actually eating into my budget.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Happy weekend!

I think you have done really well and spent money really wisely on gifts.

As to raising money, I only know one way.Have you got anything that you don't use any more like books, cds, new makeup ? I sell my stuff on ebay and have decluttered my make up recently. I am amazed that people want colours that I changed my mind about. I have raised a fair bit over the last few months and it is cathartic too.:j If you have lots how about a carboot. I am thinking of one to sell my clothes?
I break up for hols next week and I will be racking brains to save money. Are you on the glitching thread's like the Elite thread? 3Dogs and Aesop should be able to give you good advice on saving money. I am not v good but when I am on hols with 3dogs and boys they always glitch and I learn lots. :money:

    Hi savingwannabe :hello:

I plan on doing a lot of ebaying, but I'm waiting until the free listing for July starts :)
No - what's the glitching thread?

    Thanks!

Er the elite thread. I will see if I can find it. All savvy shoppers that find cheap deals in supermarkets so you buy food and other products at really low prices. I am not v good at it. I will see if I can find it and post on here. For some reason I can't do a search for the Elite thread. I don't know if MSE is playing up. It used to be on the Debt Free Wannabe site of Forums. I hope that is some help. Is anyone able to put up a link for Lala please.

    Morning everyone - Happy Monday!

Woke up nervous... I think this is how it's going to be until I know if I got through to the second stage of my job interview... Bring on the end of the week! Haha!

I happily discovered this morning that I had £20.00 sitting in my online account from some freelance work I do - happy days! It just so happens that I need £19.99 to buy a veg patch cage from Wilkinson to keep my little rascal kitten Loki (God of mischief - very apt!), off my vegetable patch! He's recently developed a tendency of somehow getting in there and digging up the soil!
I'm growing lettuce, carrots and peas in my back garden - the carrots and peas are still growing but the lettuce is providing me with so much, I don't need to buy anymore from the shop. Withdraw this to my bank account so will be buying this at the weekend.

    - Will be able to re-list clothes etc. on ebay on Wednesday (finally!)
    - Less than 100 points off my Swagbucks target for a £5 Amazon voucher.
    - 300 points off target for my I-say voucher, in total that will be £10.00 for Amazon.
    - Still waiting for interest to be applied to my accounts - Had a moment and realised it's going to be no earlier than Wednesday... Duh!

    How is everyone else doing?:j
