Sorry to hear about the mini op! You poor thing!!
Sorry to hear you didn't get the job too, the right one will come along at the right time (as they always do) but it can be really soul-destroying being constantly rejected so make sure you set aside time to have nice baths, light some candles, read a book, watch TV, just do something self-indulgent!This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Morning all!
How is everyone? FINALLY it's payday and I'm back on it, so I'm posting another update.
Deposit savings and ISA have now been updated... it's slowly creeping back up, yay!
I spent a bit too much on my CC this month (partly my fault, I got a bit mixed up on my transactions and thought i was in credit when I wasn't, so I used it for birthday presents etc.) All Ebay sales this month will go towards paying that off (only £55.00 so not really the end of the world!)
My only real (non-necessity) expenditure this month is :
- (a potential) catch up with a friend at the pub on Friday (I will be getting a lift there and back and don't plan to drink much, so this shouldn't be much).
- Dinner with a friend who has come over from abroad (but if I'm smart, I can use a voucher depending on where we go)
- My auntie's birthday - buying her a Pandora charm (£30.00).
Things I have lined up for this week... I have my mini-op on Thursday afternoon and I should hear back re. the second interview stage at some point this week...
Watch this space!
I am ALL OVER losing this stone that has crept on. Winter is now here and I've really got to take advantage of it!!

I feel you on the weight creeping on! It's so rude! Don't stress about it though, it'll probably come off on it's own as well!
I'm doing good! Feeling positive. I hope the op goes well on Thursday afternoon.... Thinking of you! xx
Please PLEASE update about the job! I get nervous for you!!!

Thank you Sauce!
I will - as soon as I know if I'm through to the second stage.. I'll let you guys know!If not.. I'll just carry on!
I aim to submit my final assessment tonight (unit 6)! I've had the longest day so I'm not sure if I can... but I have until the 10th to submit this anyway.
I can't wait to get this done, get my qualification & start the next level!
Cashed out my QMee account tonight - £2.86 of free money. Better than nothing!

Mine is going well! I've submitted my first assessment and am going to do 2 lots of questions on my second assessment tonight.. Not sure how long feedback will be (something tells me it will be a long time).
Love Qmee, such easy money! I did their treasure hunt a few weeks back and made £4.00.. easy money for googling things! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Hi Sauce,
Why do you think it will be a long time? Have you experienced delays? Getting my feedback has always been really quick..!
I'm not too far off another £10.00 Argos voucher, courtesy of Consumer Pulse, yay! That means I can buy my aerobic step I've been wanting - it will enable me to start exercising indoors in the coming cold months!FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Afternoon everyone!
I'm still waiting to hear about the second stage for the interview...
On a plus side, I've gained another £10.00 Arogs voucher from Consumer Pulse and I am well on way to getting another £5 Amazon voucher from I-Say to put towards the Christmas fund.
I've been applying for a few jobs during my lunch break, on the chance I don't get through to round two. I'm also finding that the hiring process has definitely lengthened since I last got a job... even on the auto-acknowledgments e-mails I am receiving when submitting an application, it states 14 days as being the turn-around time JUST to hear if the recruiter is interested... Sheeeeesh!
A NSD today, going to go home, relax and watch Downtown Abbey :rotfl:
After a lot of job-hunting/applying & studying, I think I'll relax for a night!

Thanks Savingwannabe!
I just want to get home and rest up! I'm a little nervous!
I spoke to my old man last night... Will very, very likely be moving back home in January once my tenancy is over. They've said it can't be for very long, maximum 12 months, but I've worked out in that 12 months I could have £12k> by putting away what I would be paying just in rent & utilities...! So it seems like a no-brainer, but sacrificing my freedom for a mattress in a box room will be hard.
I've text my LL to see if she is thinking of selling, as I would totally buy it, but in her typical style, she has ignored my text, so I'm taking it as a no! :rotfl:
Still haven't heard about stage 2 interviews. I'm going to give the hiring manager a call tomorrow if I haven't heard anything.
She did say that the Vice VP (who the candidate would be supporting) starts himself in the beginning of October and it depends when she can discuss the candidates with him - she just 'hoped' it would be early this week...FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Evening lovely people!
How are we all?
I have another job interview on Wednesday afternoon for a 'Team Assistant' role about 30 minutes drive away for approx. £2k per annum more than my current salary :j
I also received a call from a recruiter this afternoon about a role literally 10 minutes down the road from me for a PA role, but it's the same wage I'm on now. I did say that I am interested due to the location, however I would prefer if the wage was even £1k more than my current salary.
The recruiter is putting my details forward but is also asking the question to her client.
In regards to the company that have taken forever to give me some feedback, I've had an e-mail this evening saying sorry for the delay, the VP has been away and has not reviewed the candidates yet. The HR manager will chase for feedback and will come back ASAP...
Regarding my finances, my car insurance has been debited tonight  £400.00 for insurance plus breakdown and considering I made a claim last year and have 8 years protected no claims, it's not bad. Higher than I expected, but it could have been a lot, lot worse!
I brought via Quidco, so £20.00 cashback!
I have a balance of £65.00 on my CC from last month which I need to clear. Ebaying like mad - it was all due to a mix-up & my balance not updating and thinking I was in credit when I wasn't! Grrr! Oh well, I know I can do it! :TFTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%
