Woohooo!!!!
Finally you're getting some good luck come your way!
Sounds fab about the interview and this other job is also sounding pretty great, do you think you'd prefer one over the other?
I've started my V2L course (thanks to you!!) and I already quite like the set up, it's pretty straight forward which I like! Already through Unit 1 Session 1 this evening, I think a session a night then a night to revise and I'll be on my wayThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thanks Sauceoclock!
I'd prefer the one I'm going for the second interview for. Mainly, it's more money, but they also seem keen on having me.
Although the other company is global, (it's very well-known), the salary is less and nothing seems urgent.. It's been 2 days since the HR manager said she'd e-mail me the job specification & I still haven't had it. This is what they were like last time and honestly, it's a bit off-putting.
It makes you wonder how they would deal with other issues?
Well done! I have an extremely busy week (mum & sisters birthdays) and need to submit my U4 assessment by Friday & have no idea how I will fit this in
I'm going to update this diary later tonight.
Until then everyone, have a lovely day!:money:FTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Evening everyone! :hello:
So I just arrived home from my mum & sisters first (of two) birthday meals of the week.
Was lovely, my nan and auntie were round too :j
I spent a bit of time pre-dinner finalising my unit 4 V2L assessment so I submitted this, yay! One thing done! :T
Whilst I had the laptop on, I had a property alert for a SO 1 bed house literally down the road from my current place. Within budget (albeit I don't know the share yet). I enquired but I'm going to follow-up with a call tomorrow.
I'm still a bit cautious of SO, but if I can staircase to 100%, & dependant on the maintenance costs & rent charges, I'd go for it. It's in a very desirable area (KT12) and right next to the station, so if I could staircase & own the freehold eventually, I'd definitely make some money out of it.
So that's next on my to-do list!
Tomorrow night I'm studying for my second interview as on Thursday, mum, dad, my sister, her boyfriend and I are going out for the second birthday meal which I will run into the late evening.
On Friday I have a half day, so I have work in the morning and the interview in the afternoon. Then off to London for dinner & to watch The Lion King in theatre with my mum & sister, so looking forward to that :j
I brought a new knife set from Lakeland today. A right treat - it's very pretty! Was a must, as all my knives are cheap & blunt and I couldn't/can't cut a thing! :rotfl:
With my relatively new Reward current account, I got 10% cash back on the purchase of £28.00 - not bad! Free delivery too! Just need to wait for this to come through.
I'm also getting £5.00 per month as a reward - brilliant! Every little helps!
SB has been a lifesaver, my Christmas fund is well on it's way! £30.00 in vouchers & £30,00 in ash put aside already.
Also have a £10.00 Argos voucher coming from Consumer Pulse!
Working towards another £5.00 Amazon voucher from I-Say.
Winding down now watching OCD cleaners, then bed at 10:00pm for me! :TFTB House Deposit - £28,505.00 / £40,000 - 71.26%

Happy Sunday morning everyone!
I've neglected this diary a little - things have been crazy!
I went for my final interview on Friday.. all felt promising, but I guess you never know! He had 3 more people to interview that same day, then interviews were complete.
I didn't hear anything on Friday, so fingers crossed tomorrow I will know!
Ironically, as i was driving to my interview, the company I really wanted the job at (who closed the vacancy), called me saying they have another opening at another branch and want me to go for an interview. I scheduled one with them, because.. well, you never know?
On Saturday, dad came with me to view a SO house that's on sale.
I really liked it. It was slightly bigger than the maisonette I'm in now and has a private front garden.
I e-mailed the vendor yesterday saying I just want to find out from the council A) how to extend the lease (as only 66 years left) andIf I could eventually buy the freehold.
If I can do both, I'll fill out an assessment form.
All looking peachy, even if i don't get the house! :T
Been Swagbucking, managed to buy 2x friends birthday presents with Argos voucher. Paying off my CC tomorrow and posting some Ebayed items (£19.00 sale).

Hello Lala, I have had a non spend weekend but I have an urgent but yuck deadline for tomorrow so I am working hard at home. Well done on the job front and also on viewing house and looking at legals of the building too. Gosh you have been busy. Good on you.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220

Evening everyone! :j
I was a bag of nerves all day! It came to 2:00pm and nothing... so I e-mailed my recruiter (she's great!) She e-mailed straight back and advised that one of the remaining 3 interviews was re-scheduled for today, so a decision will be made tomorrow... Eeeeek! Watch this space!
Back to finances!
- Thanks to Swagbucking, I have £60.00 in the Christmas fund! (£30 cash put aside & £30.00 Amazon vouchers).
- I've also found an artificial Christmas tree in Homebase - £30.00 reduced from £80.00 :j
- As of next month, I will have saved £500.00 for my annual car insurance & breakdown cover. It's never this high, so this should cover both costs. Due at the end of October.
- CC is clear again this month ready for next month's payday
- I'm very chuffed, I've managed to buy (in the process of buying) 3 tailor made birthday gifts that haven't cost that much:
- 2 year old girl (1x dress from Sainsburys - £10.00, 1x Peppa Pig hairbrush/mirror/clip set - £7.00)
- Auntie - I brought one of those glass drinking glasses with the lid & straw that are 'in trend' now from Ebay for £1.00. I'm filling it with cute/her favourite stuff. I've brought her a pandora charm (only full price item & the most expensive... ) but brought stuff like a mini baileys, bath bomb, chocolate etc.
- Friend & mummy of the little girl - similar to my auntie's but brought her a travel mug as she's just got a new job & is always on the go! Filling it with coffee sachets, bath bits and trinkets.
You can get the majority from Ebay and these things are normally around 0.99p each... and my sales have really helped - I've effectively brought 'free' gifts, as in I haven't touched my monthly funds.

Hi everyone!
My updates have been a little sparse recently - just been overtaken by the job hunt!
I didn't get that role, but I've just come back from an interview today that went really well, the final stage is another face-to-face with the Finance Director (who 'I' would be supporting). If selected to attend, this wouldn't be until the first week of October, so I have a bit of breathing time.
& I'm taking a new stance - Not to get so hopeful! This whole business is soul destroying! So the 'relaxing' wait begins :rotfl:
Going to relax tonight, god knows I need it. Went to hospital today & need to go back for a mini op. Ahhh LIFE.
How is everyone else?

Relax you have done all you can boy, you know how to live. Blimey how many cups of coffee do you drink to get through a day? You will get about 10 jobs offers all at once after this hard prep! I hope the mini op is not too difficult or stressful and that you will continue to go from strength to strength. Have a totally chilled out weekend.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220
