Hi all. Didn’t get a chance to get back on here yesterday. DH is back home now and the time seems to disappear faster! Haven’t had time to read all of yesterday’s thread but welcome to TILLYTRIPPIT – hope you enjoy it here with us!

We had a real mixture of weather yesterday but mostly sunshine so I can’t complain. DS1, DIL and the grandchildren came round in the afternoon which was lovely. The LOs raided my office drawer and found lots of interesting things that they ‘needed’ like paperclips, pens and pencils, rulers, etc., so the drawer looks quite empty now. They left me some lovely pictures they’d each drawn so it was a fair exchange!

Didn’t sleep very well last night – it must be DH keeping me awake! I’ve been alright for the two weeks he’s been away!

Anyway, today’s plan is to juggle some money around due to the fact that money DH is owed has been held up so certain plans have gone out of the window.

Hope everyone is well and (((hugs))) to anyone who isn’t. Will try and get back on later.

  • Hi early birds and all who follow.

I've hardly slept all night - I agreed to take part in some medical research for the good of humanity  without really thinking through how stressful it would be for me! I have to get to the hospital in Liverpool for 8.30am (a good hour from here) having fasted overnight and undergo a whole morning of scary tests - nothing more painful than 6 separate blood tests but I also have to spend 20 minutes with a plastic hood over my head  to work out my metabolic rate apparently. I can't believe I agreed to it - but I did so I'll have to go (four times over a year). They pay my travel expenses and the results of the study will benefit lots of people, but I think I've bitten off more than I can chew!

Dying for a cup of tea :(

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Morning all,

Was ssooo sleepy last night I crashed into bed at 9:30! Slept solidly, then woke at.... 1:30! Luckily got back to sleep until OH woke up at 5. Little Monster picked on Echo at 5:30, Echo picked on Puschka ... I gave up trying to sleep. Soo sleepy and I've already had 2 cups of coffee!

Well we didn't do the car boot because of the forecasted rain.. and it only drizzled a bit here. We kept catching each other looking out of the window at the lack of weather! Mind you, there's a whopping great big hill between us and the site and quite often the weather is completely different over there so we could have been drenched! At least we'll be ready for the early morning next Saturday one.

Didn't fuss with the rest of the sorting out either... cleaned pit/house instead. So have to do some sorting out to pack up car because I can't keep car out on the front after 9am (1 hr parking). So one more cup of coffee, a bath, and action.... yeah right!

    Have a good monday!

Off to read yesterdays thread. After another cup of coffee :)

Morning. Phew. I have had such a busy past few days that I have not been able to get anywhere near this thing. Friday was a 19 hour working day! Made a few quid extra I suppose, but now I have to play catch up.
I have the week off anyway and looking forward to some caravaning.
All the kids are off to church camp today, so a peaceful weak indeed.

Youngest daughter has her birthday today, so it will be a birthday breakfast I think b4 we take her and the others to the camp.

Looks like rain is coming in later...
Well see you all end of the week, no computer in the van...
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

  • Morning Guys!

Up early to get everything for hospital incase I have to stay in again. Hopefully, it wont come to that:D

OH & DD went to a Tchaikovsky evening with fireworks etc last night at Crystal Palace. Made up a lovely picnic for them, posh rolls with salmon and prawns, cheese board and biscuits and a box of wine for OH and our friends. Really gutted that I couldnt make it, but DD took her friend with her and they all had a good time. DD's friend came back for the night too:rolleyes:

Washing is mainly up to date. Have a huge ironing pile, so will ask niece if shes interested:D Been de-cluttering as much as I can too. Yesterday, went to the cereal cupboard and threw 6 boxes of opened cereal that had gone manky and binned aload of spices that were out of date 2006.

Also trying to use up everything in freezer. Have switched meals for today and found some lean beef chunks which would make a lovely stew with dumplings.

Anyway, Id better go. Hugs to all.

    Morning All

Good luck at the hospital Juliapenguin and PP
N9eav - enjoy your week off and Happy Birthday to your DD

Lovely and sunny here at the moment. Today will be mainly paperwork, need to pop into local village to pay some cheques in and as OH has the children will have a little mooch around the shops - start looking for Xmas pressies.

House is ok at the moment so after paperwork will be ironing.

Ordered a Tefalactify at the weekend as Oli catalogue gave me 20% off, it was the same price in the catalogue as other places which was quite surprising. Still was quite expensive but you can fry 1kg of hm or frozen chips in 1 tablespoon of any oil. Cant wait for it to come, I cant fry my chips on the hob (scares the pants off me) and cant get on with deep fat fryers so hopefully it will be a godsend and we can stop having oven chips.

Off now for a little surf then in the shower.
    Have a great day.
