When my DD got a verucca I was told to leave it alone, just don't let her go around in her barefeet and tell the school.
We tried Bazucca but it actually made it worse. Waste of money. Now I only take her to the doctors if she has an infection which I can't treat with plenty to drink, rest & TLC.

Veruccae are caused by a virus (same one as warts) so if left alone they do go on their own.. but DD1 has 4 on the ball of her foot and they are hurting to walk on so they have to go. I don't take my lot to doctors ever.. I can deal with anything they throw at me .. apart from DS1's horrendous trench foot (the worst case of athletes foot the GP has seen since just after WWII!!!!!) which we have resorted to lamisil.. seems to be working.. binned the trainers.. boiled the socks etc. I can't remember last time I took one of the children to the GP because they were 'ill'
Oooh and we just had a drama.. DS3 (henceforth referred to as dingbat!) was given a watch by my nanna this morning.. this was an adult watch so the strap was too long.. so instead of waiting for hubby or myself to have time to make a new hole so it fit him Dingbat took a very fine crochet hook out of my sewing bag and stabbed it through the strap.. straight into his thumb!!!!! I had to pull it out of Dingbats thumb and then stem the bleeding.. Dingbat is such a twerp at times! I swear sometimes this child has no brain in his head!! So he has been sent to bed with a flea in his ear, a plaster on his thumb and I squeezed a spot I found on his nose.. just so he could accuse me of trying to scrape his nose off his face.. lol
Best go wrap some ebay gibble so it can be posted on Monday.. £120 in my paypal and £30 still to be sent and £17 still to end..... It is for my christmas shopping I decided.. that'll be two children sorted as I have already got the majority of their stuff!!!

Okay, just thought that I should tell you all, OH is no longer my OH - we've split up. It actually happened over a week ago and alot of sh*t has happened since then which is made a mutual agreement into not such a nice thing from my perspective. So just a warning that I'm in a "all men are b*stards" mood and probably will be for a while. Especially as for the moment we need to keep living together. I'm going back to my schnapps and lemonade now... :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

nicki I am sorry to hear that, when you said he was on his way home etc I pressumed all was ok. I hope you are ok, I am sure none of us mind the mood, I think many of us have been the same way lately for various reasons. Hope your DD settles down soon, sounds like you've been clashing a lot lately. Definately not a bad Mam as long as you're doing as you said and putting distance between your selves while you have some calm time.
JillD pleased to hear you're DH has improved, great news, have a nice evening (my lasagne was lovely too, just a bit too filling and I feel overful now, great bit was DS2 ate it aswell so just one to cook seperate for, at least 3 portions left for freezer!)
Dusty, hope you're Grandma has a few good years yet, I was over my sisters today and her partners Nana is very poorly, we all said even though she's 93 and had a great life it's such a shame as she's so lovely. I remember the stories my Great Grandma had, same working class lady who we lost also at 93, I just wish she'd been alive when my kids were born, they would have adored her. Makes me smile now remembering as she had a real 'attitude' when we had her 90th birthday there was no dancing allowed on the dancefloor in this pub (yes I know, madness) so she clambered up on the table and started dancingshe was great!
Pigpen, what a Dingbat! Hope he's ok however, sounds rather traumatic, my youngest is 6 and does 'DIY' things that get him into injury very often aswell.
Well the boys are asleep!! My god!! Saying that the oldest was up at 5.45am! I made myself put washer on and do most of the washing up before I put the laptop on the table, if I didn't it'd be there in the morningpans soaking now which I'll deal with in a mo. DP didn't do the shelves but came home late for tea and didn't want to upset neighbours so will have to wait. With much persuasion and 50 points each (each point is worth a penny towards pocket money) bribe, all the toys and the 200+ books were picked up off the floor.
pleased as my back was hurting after the few I did.
I best go get that washing up done and get the clean laundry out to hang on airers, shocking having to dry indoors it's supposed to be summer!!One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
I am back! I did: emptied dry clothes from indoor dryer, folded and put away, matched up socks, filled the ironing basket some more, tidied the living room incl. hotspot coffeetable, finished off butternutsquash soup, cleaned away some dirty dishes from making soup and when I got back to report my DD1 had taken over the computer
I had to pick up my DD2 from gymnastics, dished up tea and now a quick go on here before doing the dishes, filling the washing machine and maybe doing some ironing (see the piggies fly)
Thanks Solwaykid for the challenge!!
*oink oink oink*

DH did finally get cracking on the floor. Did his best, until his back just couldn't take it anymore. He's got a condition called Bechterew, which makes for a very sore back and neck, especially when the weather is unstable.
I moan a lot, but i do love him a lot! :rotfl: I just get really naffed when loads of things need to get done, and he's playing.. ;-)
Oh well..
good night everybody.
