Afternoon all
Cold, wet and windy today. One load of washing draped round upstairs.
Vacuumed through downstairs.
Went out to garage with DH to hold some wood he had to saw up to get in the car to go to the tip. Finally, the last bits of rubbish are gone. Must have even got on HIS nerves in the end!
Kettle on, I'm cold.0 -
Dusty - just put in my post about the Bazuka stuff, DS1s were gone in a week after weeks of trying some stuff I got in Holland and Barrett, they just got too painful for him so had to do something else.
Nicki, sounds like a great eveningI haven't had M&Ms for ages!
Actually there is an idea, might see if the boys want a movie afternoon, got some popping corn, just need to find something they'll watch together and be at least a bit interested in, wish we lived nearer decent shops/video shops.
Pollybear know what you mean about cold, I think I might even have to put the heating on, or get moving one of the two :rotfl:One day I might be more organised...........

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all the wishes of good luck. Well I've got home just in time before the rain came down (I decided to walk in the end, as I thought I could probably do with the exercise, and it also means that I don't waste money on the car).
When I got there, the woman who had asked me to come in wasn't there, and the landlord didn't seem to have a clue that I was coming. The first thing that he did was to show me where all the drinks were on the til - I was a bit alarmed by this, as I thought I would just be serving food, and I had never pulled a pint in my life! He then showed me around, and luckily no-one was booked into the restaurant for lunch, so I was expecting it to be fairly quiet. The landlord then decided he was going to change his clothes upstairs, and typically that is when someone came in to order a larger and a larger shandy, and a diet coke. I didn't have a clue which glasses to use and the potboy had to help me out. Had to call the landlord down to put it through the til though as I didn't have a clue! Then loads of people came in to eat in the bar so I was kept fairly busy, but there were lots of times when I was just standing around wondering what I should be doing. At one point someone's dog jumped up on me, which I wasn't very happy about, but all in all it was ok. I've got a few shifts this coming week (wed lunch, Friday evening, Sunday all avo) but won't get paid til the following Friday, so will have to wait a bit to see any money. Well that sums up my 3 1/4 hour shift.
Must find something to eat now, and change out of these clothes. Looking forward to OH coming home so that I can be waited on. Mine is very good at making me cups of tea when I ask him nicely.:D

Sounds like it might be OK when you've had some training sexymouse. I hate it when people just expect you to know what to do without telling you.0

Sounds a bit disorganised of them sexymouse, but at least you know what to expect of it now.
Well, I've done b. all except snooze and fiddle around on the laptop for a few hours and read your posts. Nicki, I like the sound of your night in. Enjoy it. Frustration on your behalf for everyone with tardy OHs. I hate not being able to manage stuff myself and rely on my step-dad for big jobs, they don't come over very often and there's usually a whole list of stuff waiting for him, poor man!
If you'll allow me to indulge myself I'd like to see if I can post pics on here, think I've sussed the photobucket link thing..
Or maybe not..

Aaah they are sooo cute solwaykid. Yes they do seem a bit disorganised, but hey, at least I have some money coming in now which will help a bit. I've decided to save my tips in my old money box from when I was a child, so have £1 in there now after the tips were shared 4 ways!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170

Solway, they look like 2 very content little kitties, as if they are saying 'look take the photo and go we are relaxing' lol
Half hour challenge, you're on, I'll be back at 5pm (ish)One day I might be more organised...........
