lil_me you are SO right! Maybe if I 'accidentally' step on them or something?
Or drive over them with my big car?
:rotfl:
Is it a man thing to never finish things? It took DH over a year to seal off the final bit of the kitchen counter. (took him all of 15 minutes in the end..) 3 months to put a new handle on the front door..
I've nagged for 3 years now that we need to put in a new floor... finally we made a start...
1/4 of the front room is done, and he's off to play with his cars!! It is Saturday!! We could be taking the whole day and be finished by tonight!! But this friend calls up to say: can you help me rebuild this engine?... and away we go!.. he's off to play with his model cars..
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..
During me writing this post I've been interrupted three times. "Mummy I need potty..." "mummy can I have a sandwich.." and I don't mind them.. they are kids... but the winner: "Darling, could you make us a cup of coffee?"
*I am not swearing... I am not swearing...* I told him: no I'm busy just now!
Right.. rant over..
for now.
Lil_me: good luck with the shelves! :rotfl:

he he he loving the men bashing:D
I asked DH to sort through his 5 boxs of computer [STRIKE]junk[/STRIKE]vital supply of spares when we moved in here 3 months ago. I got home from work and said boxes were all put in the loft out of the way. Thursday night he decided he needed something out of one of the boxs but had to look through all of them 'cos he just shoved them up in the loft rather than sort through them. He then got really narky when I asked if he wanted me to hold the ladder saying "well I've managed to get 3 boxs down with no help, so I am sure I can manage to do the rest myself". So left him too it:p , besides I put all the other boxs up there by myself.0 -
Lil_me I asked DH where the drill/tool set was as I was getting a friend in to put up the shelves/tile bathroom or whatever and mysteriously it suddenly gets done! Is that wrong?
JillD I am pl;eased to hear your dad is off the oxygen mask. I am thinking of him and you too. How long til baby is due? Your 'to do' list makes me feel tired just reading it! Don't forget to have some time for yourself. I had four babies in five years and after the first two I dont think it matters how many you have as they all fit in round each other. Even little ones can be helpful as mumofmany said. You just have to be able to do more than one thing at a time like pigpen. I think the hardest part was getting ready in the mornings once the first one started school as DH was on shift work and rarely around in mornings. DS2 seemed to spend his life in a car seat going to and from playgroup until I decided enough was enough and they all stayed home and played and had friends round. Almost like our own little group but without all the getting in and out of cars. I always wanted more but wasn't able to.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Do it yourself!! How hard can it be?
Very, because he has to go and borrow a drill from his Mother's, I can't hold one unfortunately because of how much I shake, it's the same with the strimmer the vibrations make me drop it so I have to fasten it to my arm, can't do that with a drill, nearly injured myself last time I tried. If there was a way without putting holes in the walls it would have been done a long time ago. When I asked someone else to I got the 'I'll do it next week he'll mess it up' well that was a while ago too  Also in part I think why should I. He does NO housework at all (works 3 nights a week usually 5pm-3am so has 4 days off and all day when he's at work usually), he doesn't cook, clean, laundry, tidy up (even after himself just moved 2 cups, a plate, something electrical he's had before work etc) do gardening or anything, least he could do is an occasional bit of DIY. Only thing he occasionally helps with is watch the boys if I pop out (did for 45 minutes yesterday and threw a right strop as I took too long in his opinion) should have heard the fuss I got when I asked him to shower the boys off one night last week!
Oh yes finishing things, 1 piece of 2 inches wide laminate still missing in the boys PC room, that was started 6 years ago :rotfl: I don't even bother mentioning it any more.
Becca ((hugs)) My partners the same, expects to be waited on all the time, adds the Darling or Honey when he can tell I'm in a storming mood.... just makes it worse. I hate the most when I am for example I am cooking dinner and 'Make me a coffee' he's sat playing on the laptop doing naff all.
poohbear ((hugs too)) oh dear doesn't get much better as they get older then.
**Sorry can you tell I'm a little fed up of it, I'll be fine in a few hours, just need an occasional moan**One day I might be more organised...........

Back from my mothers.. she is on her way to the airport now and my naffing overlocker won't stay threaded.. I don't know what she did.. it sewed my sisters top fine then wouldn't rethread with the black thread.. so I'll try another set and see what we get..
I've raided the reduced shelf at tesco.. £17 for about £30 of food.. I always seem to get there just at the right time!!
I need to nip to chemist to get something for DD1's verucca.
Dusty.. we are going to one of those horrible Haven sites.... I hate them with a passion!!!! We are half packed though and I have a bag full of those little complimentary packs of matches I nicked from the pub last weekend... good job as they didn't have any this week! lol..
Lil_me & Becca .. my hubby wouldn't DARE expect to be waited on.. and if he did he'd be in for a long wait!!! I tend to boss him around usually lol .. do this.. do that.. do the other.. so he feels like my slave!! lol BUT I do everything else.. he does the DIY and it gets finished... or else!!!
I need to get the house habitable before we go though there is nothing worse than coming back to a mess.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Pigpen I've never been to a Haven site but they look fun, a lot of work/expense I can imagine with 8 kids, they charge extra for activities etc don't they. Oh verucca's youch, I found that Bazuka stuff worked really well on DS1 when he had them, I was suprised actually how good it was. As for the men thing, I just can't be bothered with the tantrum he throws when I ask, probably my fault for letting him be a lazy pig for so long. He used to work 6 days a week (well worked 5 one at uni) so I had no choice to do it all really, now he works 3 evenings he just does the same, nothing.
Oh I've just had a moan, when he was on the phone youngest was playing up he hates being indoors and turns into a little animal when bad weather cages him in, so he said 'Why doesn't he go and play in his room' so I explained he would but you can't get in there for the books that are all over after the bookshelves came down. I have no intention piling them on for it to tip again so were waiting for him to fasten it to the wall, he says he'll do it when he comes home for his tea, hmm, wonder if that will happen. One day I might be more organised...........

Pigpen - all 3 of mine have the Vs at the moment - let me know what you get - I usually use a homeopathic stuff but they are taking a long time to shift - got them since DS3 started his swimming lessons. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

DD is in a vile mood again as I had to take her shopping (no fruit, bread or milk in the house
) OH didn't even offer to take me one night after work in the car even though I've been ill so I had to struggle back with a shopping trolley, rucksack & big Aldi bag-for-life all fit to bursting and a stroppy 6-year-old :mad: She has now been banished to her bedroom until Dr Dolittle comes on in about 15 minutes  OH texted me to let me know that he got to his destination okay at 10.30 and I haven't heard a peep from him since, looking at the train times he's left the earliest he's setting of is 7pm which means the earliest he'll be back will be 10pm  He better not moan when I want to go out one night with my mates - hell next time I might even stay out all night, they've all got sofas:D! See how he likes being left "holding the baby"
Right, so the shopping is done, I can't be bothered with the dishesTea is microwave pizza
and I have 2 bottles of lemonade, a bottle of Schnapps, a 400g bar of chocolate, a bag of chilli tortilla chips and some m&ms so once DD is in bed (after Robin Hood Prince of Thieves) I'm settling down for the night in front of the computer & TV
No OH playing his bl**dy racing games on his laptop, no annoying disaster or car programmes, just me, my goodies, what I want to watch & the internet. :j :j
Right, I best go and make some lunch :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
