Hi all
Seems like you have all had a busy day. I have been at work again. We had fruit salad made with cherries, bananas, pear, strawberries and raspberries with cloudy lemonade poured over the top, yummmmmmmmmmm yum!
About to flop into bed and have a good read of my book.
Catch you all over the w/eOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Evening,
Well we're all packed and thats early for me. Little one and OH in bed DS and me still up but not for long - have to get up again at 1am for flight at 7 !
Dear doogie is all delivered but was really nervous as she's not used to being around dogs so crucifying myself at the moment. And DD's little face just crumbled and she sobbed when we left her. Daren't tell her I phoned the kennels, and they said she has been really grumpy and growled at the kennel maid when she went in to her. I'm hoping she'll settle down over the weekend. Still at least she wont miss sleeping on OH's pillow - I sent it with her to go in her basket :rotfl: .
Well thats it for me until 31st so best wishes to you all, stay happy and healthy and if you're going away have a great time. Thanks to all of you for the help and support.
See you all soon
Kaz xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
lil_me and Dustykitten - thanks for nurofen tip for earache. I didnt think of that for earache, I actually would have preferred to give himn medsised to knock him out, but medicine cabinet is currently in DD's room cupboard (up high of course) waiting to be rehomed, and calpol was the only thing we had out grrrrr. Anyway one dose and then closing his window and putting warmer jammies on him seeemd to help as he was also complaining of being cold. And he didnt have a high temp or anything, He seemed ok today and said his ear wasnt hurting any more. So who knows! He was crying though for half an hour after midnight  - we just ignored him and he finally went to sleep (he wouldnt be backwards about coming forwards out of bed if he needed us dont worry!) and then again at 3am!! Needless to say I am tired again and was very snappy today with themJan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

Evening everyone (forgot to say that on last post :rotfl: )
Hope you all have had happy productive Fridays, and sending lots of hugs to those with poorly throats etc and with poorly realtives, there seem to be a lot of us about.
Spoke to my Mum again tonight, Dad continuing to do really well, is off the oxygen mask back on just the funny wee nose oxygen thing, and doing loads more walking with the zimmer. All good news
Had a pretty good day today. Spent an hour an dof half of child free bliss in the leisure centre cafe while they were in the creche, we then stayed for a yummy packed lunch, and then went over to a friends house to play for the afternon, Thsi friend has a dead posh house with a MASSIVE garden, we Mums sat out as it was uite warm while the kids played on their activity gym things and their trampoline. It was such a lovely afternoon. My friend whose house it was announced she is pregnant again, her oldest is 4 but her OH has 2 teenage daughters from first marriage, so we all thought that he , at least, was done, so their news was a lovely surprise :T
When I got home I made a massive lasagne for tea, we had it with garlic bread and salad for trea, and fruit salad for pudding, Got the kids to have a competition to se who could find the most different sorts of fruit in there, and amazingky they both ate some of everything, So it felt like a really good family dinner, I love it when we all eat together and eat the same thing.
Oh! And I finished my Harry Potter book, the last one. It was very good.

Morning all :hello: Yes I know its early for a Saturday but OH left at 7am to catch his train to the reunion he's going to. I hate not saying bye when he's going anywhere other than work so I had to get up and see him off
Plus side is that I'm about to put the fire on and get some more washing dry before DD gets up - she's been told not to even get out of the bed until 9am as she wasn't in bed until gone 8pm last night  My fault, with not being well I've been letting her slob around in her jammies, but I also forgot (how I don't know) to brush her hair and the mess it was in last night was disgraceful
Took OH bathing her & then the two of us each with a comb 30+ minutes to get the knots out  There were tears a plenty, so a big bowl of ice-cream has been promised for today
Right, off to get breakfast, take my medicine and do some jobs! Might as well make use of the early start:wave:

Wow Nicki you are early!! We have an early start because of DD2 going go gymnastics earlier today- coaches have a course and they need gymnasts to practise with.
I know exactly what you mean with the painful hair combing. My DD1 had thick hair right from the moment she was born and getting through that has been impossible over the years, especially the bottom layer, closest to her neck, I can still hear her screaming. I think I must have kept the hair conditioning companies in profitWe had it cut shorter for a long time but she is a teenager now, and she looks after her own hair, thank goodness.
Today:
Catch up with girls' rooms. Well DD1 is the worst, but if she doesn't get the dirty clothes off the floor there will be no allowance!
Washing
Ironing ( have a big basket, haven't been in the mood all week)
hoover living room
hoover upstairs
make meal plan for next week so I can go shopping
type newsletter
maybe order stuff from Lakeland
Have a happy, healthy day everyone and if you are sad or ill or depressed have a hug :grouphug:

Morning everyone,
Sorry I didn't get on last night - decided to swap my meal plan about a bit due to the shift at the pub today, as the plan had been to have aioli fishfingers last night, but I thought it best not to eat garlic the night before my first day, so I made a courgette quiche instead. I then had an early night as I had a cracking headache. _pale_
Managed to call the pub yesterday to find out their hourly rate of pay (didn't give my name or anything), and they said it depended on my age - I said 24, and he said about £6/hour, so that's really good. :j
Have looked on the net to find out what hours they are open for food, and the lunch opening hours are really short - 12-2.15, apart from Sunday when they are open til 5.30. At least I know that my shift today shouldn't be too long, as I imagine that it may be quite busy being Saturday lunchtime. Weather outside isn't very good at mo so don't know if this will make it busier or quieter.
Hope kazmeister got off on holiday ok - sorry I wasn't about to wish you a good time, and well done for getting the packing all done so early - I usually end up staying up all night packing cos I put it off because I hate doing it, as OH can't pack so I normally end up having to do his for him too. Plus approve every item he puts in as he is useless at picking clothes that match! :rotfl:
Right, I'm off to wash my hair so that I look presentable (don't have to be there til 11.45, but I'm going to walk round (10 mins?) unless it's raining hard, and I'm feeling quite nervous now - what if I spill gravy everywhere etc etc.
Managed to get most of the food shopping done yesterday so that is one less thing to worry about today, as I'd planned this week's meals last week.
Wish me luck!
