Welcome to the thread bibbitybob
I would just start with Thursday and carry on with the right days. The rooms come round once a week so you will get to the others soon enough.0 -
Have not done a thing today!
Well, did a few loads of washing but that's it.
Went for a coffee at friends' house this morning, and spent the afternoon sleeping with little squirt.
Oldest three girls went off swimming together so it was nice and quiet in the house. Normally I feel this restless, tired and moody before my period, but this time it's hitting me right in the middle of it.
Last night we made a good start on laying the new laminate floor, but had to stop due to DH"s sore back. (poor man, I feel guilty now for making him do the floor!) We'll see how far we get tonight. It is going to be lovely though!
It's back to work for me on monday, so trying to enjoy last few days off.

poohbear - I know what you mean about your Dad. My Dad seemed to go downhill very rapidly. His initial symptoms were shortness of breathy, chest pains, high temperature and general weakness/lethargy.
He was like this for a couple of weeks at home and then was admitted. He continued to go downhil until they got a hold on the infection, and at this stage they didnt know his lungs were leaking  He too did not eat and lost lots of weight. I dont live nearby so when I got to see him he had been in hospital for a month and had lost a couple of stone, His fingers and wrists were all thin and his shoulder blades all pointy. He didn't have much interest in anything and we were all very cincerned and worried for a while. He had days where he didn't eat either and seemed very very down which is totally out of character for him.
Anyway the reason I'm saying all this is that with long slow progress he is now doing really well and there is much talk of him being home. He's been in hospital about 15 weeks I think. Hopefully your Dad will respond to treatment in the same way. My Dad also has emphysema which didn't cause his lung problems now, but certainly has hindered his recovery. I do hope your Dad starts to turn a corner, its horrible to see parents suddenly seeming old.

- Cry Club made me laugh (esp the bit about the First Rule LOL)we pay a fortune for toys and all they need is a bucket, a pillow and a box. I remember when DS1 was little he was always sat in a box, those huge storage plastic boxes, used to throw everything on the floor and just sit in it.
lil_me - I know! DS bedroom today was a blo00dy pigsty, couldnt see the carpet for toys because they had emptied all the boxes they could find and were lining them up to make a train :rotfl:

Hi me again,
it is quiet today, but I'm renound for talking too much so just tell me to shut up.
My friend has been round bless her, she is lovely and her little girl's so funny (17 months). We had a real catch up which did us both good as we've missed each other while I've not been at work. She's gone now but the kitchen's still here as it wouldnt fit in her mums car. Her little girl loved it so hopefully it wont be here when we get back from holiday as I've given her a key so her hubby can collect it.
Can hear the doogie barking now as she's outside and wants to come in but DS chased her round the garden and she went in the pool that we have
been trying to empty for 19 hours now!
Well do I go and sort more clothes or start thinking about tea which has to be early tonight as its Tae Kwon Do night.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

JillD pleased to hear you had a good evening
Welcome to bibbitybob, best way I think as long as it work for you is start on the day we're on, or tomorrow if it suits you better, no panic as everything will come round next week so no point trying to play catch up unless you want to
Mum of many don't give yourself such a hard time, you've achieved loads, more than I and other members have on their first week, give yourself a break honey, like I said it all comes around again.
Well this is my first 'KID FREE' time of the hols, kids have gone to youth club for a change, hoping DS1 will settle again but thankfully his old LSA works there so she's pretty good with him, knows what he's capable of and has been told not to let him push his luck! Peace until 5.45pm when I have to go and get them, might try out the timer on the oven so I can do their teas while I am walking there and back to get them.
DPs dinner to make, going to have mine too in the peace and quiet, his butties for work need doing aswell, then going to do the 'noisey' jobs like vacuuming seeing as DS1 is out. Saves the hassle, him trying to kick me and the vacuum cleaner etc.One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Hello, not achieved a lot today really. Went to local Outlet place to meet someone for coffee and had an early lunch there. When DS went down I forced myself to take my plant cuttings and thats all crossed off today. just nipped into town and paid in £40 in change to the bank so my accounts looking a bit better. Been meaning to do it for months and months so that is a job crossed iff I suppose, much to the annoyance to the bank clerk - suppose its a bit much to expect them to accept money! Also started Christmas shopping!
Slowaykid - hope you get on ok at the vets, Bobs such a monkey
JillD - glad you had a fab night
Michelle - hope your loving your new purchases and are now beautifully organised - I'm so jealous!
bibbitybob - welcome!
Lil me - your oven sounds fab!
Right, will go and hoover and then sort DS out with his tea - bologense, potatoes and veg for him. Baked, spiced chicken for us and made it earlier so just have to whack it in oven. Better go as DS is playing with a dog toy instead of one of his 1000 out on the lounge floor.Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -
Oh my god!!
Flung loads out of my wardrobe. I started trying stuff on while charlie had his nap, and there is a huge pile of my work shirts to get rid of. New storage is looking fabby though, although the room is a bomb at the minute with a chest of drawers in the middle of the floor and a bit more to do before bed time.
Weather is still abysmal here.
And i have also come to the conclusion that i need to lose a bit of my belly before going back to work in 2 1/2 weeks as my trousers are at that danger of button taking someone's eye out stage, and i don't mind ditching primark and george blouses, but i am not buying new trousers when i have lovely pairs from Next. Might manage a couple of more weeks than that in summery skirts, but after that it will be trousers and they will bloody fit.
Mad at the cat cos it has scratched Charlie again, although it is partly his fault as he tries to treat him like a giant teddy bear.
We have also had fun with a box today. Big box from john lewis with the stuff in. I put a blanket in the bottom, and the corrugated plastic lid of a storage box, and gave him a wooden spoon to bang with, that is after he unpacked my bedside cabinet which is full of tut. Good job he isn't older as i had a slight twinge of embarassment when some condoms flew out as he demolished it, but he was happy with a headband with boingy sparkly ball things on it. Great fun. So all that needs tidying as well!! :rotfl:
Just put his baby signs DVD on as i needed some quiet time, but it has nearly finished already. Where has the day gone???0 -
Hi all, Just a quick visit to say I have done absolutely nothing today except deal with teenagers and phone calls. Haven't done a thing on my list for the week. DS2 has got his place at uni, DS3 has failed everything and is not only depressed and frustrated but also without a job or course to go to in September. I've tried talking to College, employers and school. I feel dizzy with all the different advice but we have basically got nowhere today.
I really think it is all getting to me again, what with dad being so poorly and DS being miserable. I cried when I was on the phone to the careers people.
Bibbitybob, I have ME too and FMS and other than this weeks general inability to do any flying at all this thread has really helped me. Generally I get less frustrated as I know if I can't manage things I can leave them and they come around again next week.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
