    Evening everyone.

Managed to take sis to Whitely, but couldn't find a pressie for my Dad there (b'day 2mo), so had to go into my local town and managed to find him some oven gloves with fingers, as he's always complaining that his don't work and that he drops things.

Have been feeling sick all day (don't know why - must have caught it off you lot lol), so have been taking things easy since I got home this evening. Stopped into another temp agency on the way home, and have left a message for the temp girl to contact me about a job at Goodwood Racecourse.

Kirby'd the matress and have put new sheets on, but that is the extent of my flying. Am now going to curl up in bed and watch Big Brother, so will catch you all tomorrow.

Hope everyone is feeling better tomorrow.
    Sweet dreams.

Kazmeister.. why are you giving hubby the option of choosing what to keep and what not???? Just bin it when he isn't looking he'll never notice!!!! Fling fling fling.. in the interests of hygiene and fashion sense!!!! lol. I cull things as they go through the wash suually so wardrobes don't tend to be a problem it is the outgrown stuff waiting to fit the next one down which is a problem.

Ginger girl .. can I have a vodka instead of chocolate??? PLeeaasee????

Oh.. and I give up.. I don't care what Martins advice is I can't stand being this skint and having to pay hundreds of people every month little stupid bits of money so I have applied for a loan to 'consolidate' I have it over 12 months and instead of me paying out £1100 a month to 23 people I'll be paying £850 to one.. and everything is being cancelled/cut up/closed/binned/burned * delete as appropriate.

The debt will be paid off in the same amount of time and cost me less each month.. but for the next year we are staying living on a shoestring.. but it will get better!!!! (plus I'll be able to get the new boiler bought and installed cheaply which will save me some installation costs and I can buy the same boiler cheaply.. :D)

I know what you mean Pigpen, it's probably the right thing to do if it saves what's left of your sanity. Being skint sucks.
I seem to have hit a plateau (can't think of another word for it) where I'm not able to pay any more debt off and it's a constant battle to avoid sliding backwards. I need a damn good re-think. One of my tasks for tomorrow I think. Don't think I'd like to swap places with that woman in Scotland who won £35m though. That would keep me awake at nights even if there were fresh sheets daily!

    Have a good night folks.

  • Yay I finally have a chance to catch up with what everyone's been doing today.

Huge hugs to everyone who is feeling poorly, emotional, down, stressed or just in need of a hug, hope you and your loved ones start to feel better soon

tinselfairy - I make lists like that and feel better for doing so. One of my old counsellers used to get me to make lists to stop everything from going round and round in my head and stressing me out, works a treat, though I do tend to ignore the list :p

JillD - congrats, glad your hubbie made it back in time for your anniversary

I updated my budget spreadsheet tonight with the figures for when it's just me in this house, if I ignore the loan from my mother, I have around £500 a month to spend on food, treats and everything else, so looks like I won't be living on jacket potatoes and toast like when I bought my first house and had zero money !

One of the ex's friends is coming over at the weekend to help with the remaining work. I've said that I want a door fitting back on my study, the door on the lounge and dining room replaced, the new door frame and door fitted for the kitchen, the boiler cupboard rebuilt and the spare bedroom ceiling boarded over. Obviously they can't do all that on one day, but they are going to make a start on this saturday which means that I can go to my sisters birthday thing on sunday. I didn't want to go if they were going to do the work on sunday, so I can make sure that they do things how I want.

Managed to get quite a bit off my list done today, even cleaned the cooker before work - how sad is that.

Wont be on again tonight, going to lie down for a bit with book, kids playing rockets upstairs (involves buckets on heads, and sitting on pillows in storage boxes  ) :rotfl:

Just nearly wet myself laughing at that, aww bless them, you know we pay a fortune for toys and all they need is a bucket, a pillow and a box. I remember when DS1 was little he was always sat in a box, those huge storage plastic boxes, used to throw everything on the floor and just sit in it.

Right not a lot done tonight, apart from more playing with the oven, I found a GREAT button. DEFROST!! Well I had this frozen cheesecake, 2 1/2 hours defrost but wanted it sooner, so I stuck it in on defrost, 20 minutes  I LOVE THAT BUTTON!! See I seriously am bad for getting food out the day before, biggest problem when we end up having a takeaway is something hasn't defrosted, but it says it can defrost a chicken in under 5 hours :T

:o Sorry I am sad aren't I, that added to wrapping my pans back up when I use them, anyone got the number for the funny farm ?

Off to do my list for tomorrow, which includes going for injection in morning, boo hoo, doctors aswell which I am going to have a massive moan about this 3 months long cold/sore throat etc!!

Hugs for everyone, because you all deserve one, will see you all in the morning/when I can sit down after injection :rotfl:
One day I might be more organised...........

Morning everyone - looks like I'm first up. Thanks OH

Change of plans today not going to visit friend as she is going to come here. I wrote on the calendar weeks ago that I needed the car today so I could visit my friend and take the Little Tykes kitchen to her so if he accepted overtime it would have to be local or we would go on m/cycle. All agreed no problem until yesterday when he says he'll need the car because if the bike gets wet he wont have time to dry it off before we go on holiday    . Oh please! We have a clapped out M reg Saab thats done 160,000 miles (which was HIS car) and get rid of a lovely SAAB convertible (MY car) to get a £16k bl**dy bike and he cant use it if its gonna get wet !!   . And to make it worse the sun is shining this morning and he could've taken the bike, plus I told him to put the bin out before he went, so he rings me at 630 to say oh he forgot can i do it    . MEN

    Morning everyone,

Happy belated anniversary Jill. I hope you had a really nice evening out.

3rd one up again today, and not feeling much better than yesterday to be honest. OH said that I feel very hot to the touch, so sounds like I have the lurgy too. Meant to be going out for Dad's birthday tonight, so hope I'm feeling better by then (Chinese buffet - yummy).

As the sun is shining, I suppose I had better put some washing in the machine, as it seems to have crept up on me in the last few days due to all the rain.

Hopefully will hear about the temping today, so looking forward to earning some money again and not feeling like I'm freeloading off OH. I know money is tight at the mo, as I found a final demand for a water bill the other day, and it was only for £40, which I could have leant him if he'd asked.

Well, off to cool myself down with a cold shower, and eat some brekkie.

    See you all later.
