needed a new printer cartridge so had a stop of at Tesco, nearest supermarket I passed. Needed milk bread, cold meat, crisps, ink cartridge (cheap in Tesco) and it confirmed again how much I dislike it now, it used to be my favourite shop
I only ever go to Tesco when I am on a couponing mission and am getting stuff virtually for free and that is simply to get one over on them.
Nikki have you found the card yet? Good luck - I hate loosing things even though I am very good at it!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
online shopping is so bad
I have just spent £180 in about ten minutes, which is super scary
very necessary though, as it is wardrobe/storage organisers from john lewis. I could probably make something, but for the peace of mind of them being here tomorrow and actually organising this house at some stage in the very near future is worth it.
the even scarier bit is £130 was for ordering stickers and stampers to use when i am marking when i go back to work. Logic is
1) i hate marking with a passion so it will motivate me
2) the stampers say things like underline your title, which i seem to write incessantly so it will save me lots of time and lots of energy when i go back
3) it will save some ink and writers cramp
4) i have been promising myself some since qualifying 5 years ago, and bever got round to it,
5) they will probably last all year, or longer
6) ummm - i really want them and i like having nice shiny things for the new term, and DH said i could so there!!!although i don't think he will have thought they would have cost so much, but i couldn't resist the personalised ones which say, Mrs Thompson says excellent work today!,
oops - going to creep off now as i can here DS is now awake, so i had best get him and feed him and stuff, before anyone tells me off
i'll go and sit on the naughty step while i am at it0 -
Just updated my list, not achieved much in way of cleaning but all of todays jobs are done and DS is happy. Just letting him have a quick power nap before we visit my dad so hes in an okay mood, told Dad I'm just calling on the ward and then we are going to the cafe - not letting DS loose in there with the germs, his bag is packed with lots of Milton wipes for the cafe (wow, I sound like a germ freak)
Becca – kids! Big hugs, sending you positive vibes to cheer you up
Poohbear – glad to see you back and your dads doing well
JillD – yay hes home! Enjoy your night out
Michelle - good for you, you deserve a treat and its all useful stuff (honest!) Glad your feeling a little better
Dusty - ouch about the neck! Think I must have pulled myself lifting boxes yesterday, its all down my shoulder and arm now - just what I need to carry around a 25lb baby!!! Hugs for your pain!
So I need to quickly get ready for the hospital, wake DS and then be off. DH isn't home till late tonight so might pop in later once I've settled DS.Lightbulb moment 15th Feb 2007:doh: Now Debt Free and plan on it staying that way!
Baby on board!:D0 -
Nope I still haven't managed to find it :doh:_pale_
I really have no idea where I put it - I'm sure I put it under something or in my pocket but I really cannot find it :wall:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Becca - my kids are a like that esp DS. He is dreadful. If we go and buy anything and I mean anything at allo, eg cheese, and I let him put it in the trolley he wil go off on one BUT I WANTED TO PUT TWO CHEESES IN THE TROLLEY". Give him some sweets and he has a tantrum when a sedcond bag isn't forthcoming. And so on. Also DD. I wil say "didnt we have alovely day at the pool/library/park;/whatever" and she wilol go "I fell over and hurt my leg and you shouted at me when I hit Connor and I dropped my swets" or something. She never remembers the good things only the negative points. Lots of my friends' 4 and 2 year olds are similar so I am telling myself its normal and a phase (or else yes like you I think they are spoilt brats).

Well, my DD3 is 9 years old, so if it's a phase, it's a long one! but as my sister just pointed out to me, it's probably not meant in a bad way. More like: that was fun, can we have some more of that?
Let's hope so.
DD2 who is 11 will point out the negative side of things... so I know that one as well..
Oh well.. did get jumping just now. Hoovered and cleaned the toilet. (yes mumoftwo, I decided nobody else was going to! :rotfl: )
sent DD1 off upstairs to clean her room. She went without complaining. must have overheard me moan to my sis on the phone! :rotfl: :T
Washing machine on for second run of the day.
still loads to do.0 -
Since speaking to you Becca, I have done:
washed breakfast dishes
swept and mopped kitchen floor
swept and mopped hall
tidied living room
replaced cartridge in printer
printed pictures out for birthday card
cleaned bathroom, toilet included and tiles, and mopped floor (not in the mood for master bedroom today)
took meat out freezer for tonight's tea
emptied bin
watered plants
wiped doghair of stairs
Come on here for a nosey and what do I see? You are having a wee look too, you should be working......Put those kids at work, can you not bribe them or something

Hoovered and cleaned the toilet.
Why did you hoover the toilet?? Did the water not wreck the cleaner?? lol
I've watched Eragon.. was that on my list??
I've started holiday packing.. so I know what I need to wash/track down/buy etc... and I have a grand total of £45 to last a full week.. and I need to go to bank to put in a cheque and post office to order my mother Czech currency... *sigh*
We have no food in.. no fruit, veggies, potatoes.. nothing.. so I MUST buy something to feed us for the next 4 days at least (we get the carers allowance on Monday)
I HATE being skint.. and truly begrudge spending £300 on a holiday which I will hate, come home knackered and hatig everyone..
Back to my list then!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
**hobbles in** joins the other stiff people, not my neck, stood one one foot yesterday and slipped, my back made an awful noise, was bad yesterday but worse today, bloomin' frustrating as in the mood to get things done but then back says no and have to keep sitting down.
Becca, hugs, kids I think are testing everyones patience at the minute, you're definately not alone
Poohbear – nice to see you back and great news that your Dad is doing well
JillD – Enjoy your night out
Pigpen - ((hugs)) sounds like you really don't want to go, hope it works out ok and isn't as bad as you think. With the kids bags I usually pop my kids undies in a carrier in with their toys etc so they are also carrying something else and takes some 'pressure' off us and the bursting suitcases. This year we got them their own little trolley case which everything they needed went in inc clothes and made them responsible to pulling it to the rooms etc. One thing I haven't braved yet is taking the kids abroad.
Well not a lot done so far, haven't even started my room yet really, emptied some rubbish but that's all so far, weather is poop so having to use the drier so will strip the bed once I know I can get it in there, pile of laundry waiting to be done at the mo, but have done some things I didn't do yesterday..garden was on the list but not a hope when I feel like this. DP was nice and let me have a lay on the bed then a bath while he watched the boys and got their breakfasts done, seen to the dogs aswell, however I did come down to milkshake mix to clean up etc. He is improving, slowly
DP and DS1 now on the playstation3, DS2s disappeared out somewhere with his friends, think I will get the lunch dishes done and tidy the kitchen while I wait for the washer to become free. Dining table (I should just call it the junk table) needs clearing aswell so might do that while I am sat here. After a mooch on the internet first of course. One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -

I did!!
I was here in between.
DD1 cleaned up her room. :T
DD2 has still got to do her part of the room.
DD1 is now off to the shop to get some bits for me, taking little squirt and I'm going to walk puppy who is now howling for being left behind.
