aaargh I just typed a reply but it somehow vanished...

A summary of it was that we have had a very lazy morning the girls didn't wake until 8.30 so apart from taking the dog to the park we haven't done much.

I have just finished my dailies but i am not going to manage much else as we have to take the dog for his haircut and while hes getting that the girls want to go to a pottery painting place so that will take care of most of the afternoon.

    My list looks like -

    Wednesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
    [STRIKE]Check fire alarms are working[/STRIKE]
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
    Level 2
[strike]Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh
    [/strike]
    done at the weekend

    [strike]Clean window & wipe windowsill
    [/strike]
    will do next week

    Level 3
    [STRIKE]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs[/STRIKE]
[strike]Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen
    [/strike]
    done

    Wipe doors and handles
    Extra mission tasks
    • Wipe at least one door and it's frame, don't forget the handle does the bedroom count if not will do the cupboard door as well
    • [STRIKE]
    • Sort one clothes drawer or wardrobe area, even if for 5 minute, remove anything that shouldn't be there
    • [/STRIKE]Will update later once I have made some progress.

    Hi everyone,
I am back now but off to my hydrotherapy session in about half an hour. Afterwards I won't be fit for much as it is very draining but beautifully relaxing even whilst exercising.

My dad is stabilising a bit. After giving him steroids for his chest pain they have now found out he has a chest infection!! They never seem to look for the obvious. He is of course still very ill but it is tiring for him having visitors so I am going to give him a short phone call each day now. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers. He appreciates them too.

Becca, my darling sister, have a good cry, be angry. It is kids' nature to be selfish like that and I am sure she didn't mean it, giving her airheady nature LOL. Tell her that tomorrow she is going to "schoonmaak land" (cleaning land) where all the cleaning fairies go on holiday, dress her up in wings (which she used to like) and stick a bag in her hand for a 100 fling boogie!!! So there, and if that doesn't work tell my nieces their auntie will come sort them out!!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: (Wish I could, because working together seems a much better idea, you and me, your house first, then a quick fly on easy jet and then mine)

Well, I have spent my morning in town, brilliant, without DDs asking can we go into Claires ( I hate that shop so much) oh look at that top/trainers/jeans/notebook/pencilcase/sweets/macdonalds/ etc...

needed a new printer cartridge so had a stop of at Tesco, nearest supermarket I passed. Needed milk bread, cold meat, crisps, ink cartridge (cheap in Tesco) and it confirmed again how much I dislike it now, it used to be my favourite shop. The woman on the check out was so sour faced, never said a word, was slow as anything, never helped packed my bags, give me Asda staff anyday...

    Rant over now

    To do now:

    The list
    Hang washing out
    re-load the WM
    hoover
    phone bank to make appt
make birthday card - bought pressie this morning
make a start on newsletter for gymnastics
    Have some lunch

First going to read the thread to catch up, :grouphug:

Nicky thanks! That should just about be enough.

mumoftwo I'm gonna give you a call. (not a bad idea that shoonmaak land actually! )

dishwasher is running now.. made me a cup of coffee.. got a text message from my babysitter saying: 'I'll be on holliday the second week in november..'
GREAT!! not! So I texted her back: thanks for talking to us about that first.

    I'm in right mood now!!!

    grrrrrrrrrrrr

    kids have all fled.

except for DD1 who's in her bed watching tv. I've stuck little squirt up there with her. "Go tell Suzanna: you have to look after me."
    That'll teach her.. :rotfl:

    Right.. picking up the phone.
  • still feeling a bit grotty, but i need to get on with some bits today, so i am just going to have to get on with it a bit.

I would offer you hormonal/teary eyed ladies a tissue, but between me and my snotty baby i think we may nearly have used them all up. Will have to add them to the shopping list.

    Was semi-productive yesterday evening.
    • payed 2 x credit card bills online
    • renewed the TV license
    • watched rental DVD with DH (cheaper by the dozen 2 - good for a few laughs)
    • tied the coffee table drawers together so charlie couldn't keep going in them as he took a pair of scissors out and was trying to chew them
    • hung my load of washing up on the airers upstairs.

    today so far, i have:
    • got me and charlie up/washed/dressed/fed
    • fed the cats
    • taken my car for a service and possibly to have a couple of bits fixed on it
    • posted back the rental DVD
    • posted a birthday card for DH's cousins little boy
    • been to local supermarket for bread/milk/some fruit and veggies. Happy to have only spent £8.90 and remembered to use a voucher i had in my purse
    • played with charlie lots
    • rang the payroll department to ask them to send out an information pack about salary sacrifice/being paid in nursery vouchers
    • had an MSN conversation with DH about dates to book off work for next year for the 4 weddings we have been invited too  ;)
    • got the WM on with DH's work jeans
now feeling a bit hungry, so i may have some lunch, and then try to do another couple of little bits while DS is asleep, as the week is just disappearing in a haze of tissues and painkillers, and i want the house vaguely tidy for in-laws popping in at the weekend from their walking hols. Oh- i also think there is a vague idea there will be cake so i will need to look up a recipe at some stage and do that.

Vaguely thought i might get my car back early and be able to go to my mums this afternoon, so i think i might ring up and see how they are getting on with that too!!

I think we should all have a group hug :grouphug:

Pollybear - chest pain which turned out to be chest infection , something called cryptogenic ogranized pneumonia actually, is what my Dad is busy recovering from. His got much much worse though as his lungs ended up collapsing, the hospital had only seen one case like it 17 years ago  (that person recovered fine and is still on the go today) so I am sure your Dad will recover much faster. Hugs to you and him.

My day is immeasurably better than yesterday. For a start I am not so tired so not so snappy with the kids - and HURRAH hbby made his flight and is on his way home from Heathrow :j :j I am so pleased. A weight has been lifted :T :D His bag didnt make it so I had to rummage upstairs for some wee things for him to give the kids, I have been bribing them with a present from Daddy since Sunday LOL

Thanks so much for all your hugs since last night, they really really helped me. I am sure pigpen (I think it was) is right tho, he will be winding me up by tomorrow again :rotfl:

I did face painting with them earlier, I'll add a photo if someone tells me how to insert a picture to my reply, every time I try to it seems to insert a blank box

Becca - my kids are a like that esp DS. He is dreadful. If we go and buy anything and I mean anything at allo, eg cheese, and I let him put it in the trolley he wil go off on one BUT I WANTED TO PUT TWO CHEESES IN THE TROLLEY". Give him some sweets and he has a tantrum when a sedcond bag isn't forthcoming. And so on. Also DD. I wil say "didnt we have alovely day at the pool/library/park;/whatever" and she wilol go "I fell over and hurt my leg and you shouted at me when I hit Connor and I dropped my swets" or something. She never remembers the good things only the negative points. Lots of my friends' 4 and 2 year olds are similar so I am telling myself its normal and a phase (or else yes like you I think they are spoilt brats).

Anyway not done too muich of list but who cares!! Bed is stripped though and sheets washed, just going to hang on line then may dust bedroom. Kids seem to be ok just now ... famous last words.
