Thanks again for your kind thoughts for me and Dad. I spoke to him this afternoon and he is very frail, hasn't eaten anything today. It feels in some ways that he is giving up and not fighting it but that is wrong for me to say as one who has chronic fatigue problems.

I have just been sitting with a cup of tea trying to catch up and read all your posts. You have all been very busy. I haven't done any flying yet this week but I am full of good intentions. My hydrotherapy was cancelled so we went to Asda instead. Not very MSE as I only had 5 things on my shopping list but we came home with a lot more bargains. We also picked up some old floorboards that I had found through Freecycle so I can get boys to raise my raised beds.

    To do list-starting tomorrow

Mondays to Thursdays flying level one-with help from DS3
Complete EMA forms, I finished DHs tax forms this morning.
Fill in tax form for me and self assessment forms (should be easy as I haven't earned anything)
    Make drs appointment
    Finish knitting soft toys-Me time
    Batch meal cooking for freezer
    Make mango chutney-before they rot.
    Sort paper work
Tidy kids room, I was really impressed by pigpen's middle room. Kids old playroom is our glory hole.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527
'I had a black dog, his name was depression".
  • Just managed to read all today's posts. Lots of busy people!

Hugs to those who are feeling emotional and poorly. I've been a bit tearful these past couple of days too. Hormones seem to be running riot and all the stress of social workers and DH's dad caught up I think.

We didn't make it to the library this afternoon as I took DS to a different park for a quick cycle beforehand and he made a friend and they played happily together for nearly 2 hours. Thought it was better for him to be outside running around and getting rid of all that energy.

So at home I started the ironing pile, stopped to make tea and then wash up, and now I need to go and do a bit more.
Bed is also waiting to be made after I stripped it first thing this morning.

Last night I sat down and typed up all the jobs I could think of that need doing around the house and garden. I divided them into short term, medium term and long term goals then printed out each list and have stuck them up on the wall. DH asked what I was doing and just rolled his eyes at me doing more lists. Feel better having it all out of my head and in black and white. That may be a bit strange, but it makes me happier! :p
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

    Hi,
I thought I would do my jobs for the evening before coming on here tonight and reading the day's posts.
:grouphug: and tissues all round. And :T for those with things to celebrate, be it anniversaries, full strike lists or Yorkshire pudding. (Made me fancy some toad in the hole for tea now)

S&S the kitchen and tidied the livingroom. Two of the washing backlog loads done and on the line. Bedroom done, paid extra attention to vacc'ing everything possible-but I don't think the fleas are in there.

I've booked a day off tomorrow and plan to do some more off my list, which I'll post tomorrow. One day, just one day I might have a day off and not do any 'must do' stuff. I'm not having a real holiday this year; mainly 'cos there's no one I could spend a whole week in their company (oh and I'm supposed to be saving money) but I need to break my rut for a bit somehow.

Not joining you in Cry Club (we have this at work, the first rule is you don't talk about Cry Club..) but certainly in deep pondering mode at the mo.

Off to do some jobs and to get a grip.

  • Hello Everyone
Just managed to sneak some time in between work/cook and tackling the mountain of ironing! Am also feeling down! Optician wouldn't renew my contact lens agreement on Saturday as he's concerned that an eye infection I've had twice since Xmas is still lurking around. Am now v stressed as have got to see GP tomorrow who will probably refer me back to hospital. (I hate hate hate hospitals!) Wish me luck! Come to think of it - a night in front of telly sounds much better than ironing - it will still be there tomorrow! Hugs to anyone who needs them - I'm off to find chocolate!

    Evening all

Not getting on very fast today. Went shopping with DS and got what he needed very quickly but got soaked walking back home! Then spent half hour on phone when my little bro rang me (ok he's not so little he's 36 and 6' 5" but still my little bro!) Took DD to her friends for a sleepover and I spent 2 hours with them when I should have been flying. Bedroom is looking bad now as have emptied all OH clothes attempting a major cull but he wont let me throw hardly anything - some of his stuff I have never seen him wear in the 11 years I've been with him and I told him if he does wear it I'm out the door, but he still wants to keep it  Oh and all my clothes are on the bed awaiting a major sort too. Its not looking good as we go early hours of Sat morning. I hate this part of holidays as well pigpen, but I'll love it once we get there. Bedlinen needs to be recued out of dryer to go back on bed so better do that first and then try and rescue the bed from the clothes before I hoover it and remake.

Help I only have 2 days to sort, iron and pack best I go now
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

Ginger girl - sorry to hear about your eye problem. Whatever you do don't do the ironing as that's really bad for eyes, honestly. You just have to sit and watch tv and eat chocolate as that's good medication!!!

Poohbear - hope things are ok with your dad and i'm thinking of you.

Afraid i've just done general tidying today as we've been out all day today. Had a great time at the park. Children exhausted and so am I! Will just do a bit more tidying today and catch up between clients tomorrow. Hugs to all xx

I don't seem to have achieved much from my list today, after our lazy start and being out for the afternoon the time just disappeared. i did run round the master bedroom with a bag and managed to fill it full of rubbish - where does it all come from - tidied up the surfaces and polished them I havent yet hoovered will add that to the to do list for tomorrow.

We have one very short haired dog after his hair cut, he is currently sulking in our bedroom in a corner and is ignoring everyone.

    List for tomorrow -

    [STRIKE]Dust PC and desk [/STRIKE]
    Level Three
[STRIKE]Vacuum/sweep and mop these rooms [/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wipe keyboard and mouse [/STRIKE](these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
    [strike]Wipe down tiles in bathroom
    [/strike]

    Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt
    • [STRIKE]Clean any light fittings and switches in these rooms [/STRIKE]
    • [strike]Wash your bathroom mats [/strike] did today:j
    • Sort your toiletries, flinging anything well past it's use by and those empty containers. Leave out what needs using first like the last bit of shower gel in a bottle etc.

  • Thanks for the medical advice LJD1! I shall of course follow it to the letter! Anyone care to join me in a Twirl bar or a Flake dark?? Obviously if it's for medical reasons it won't have any calories in it at all!!!! :rotfl: I can catch the second part of Waking the Silent Dead Dalziel and Witness!!!
