    Part of the Furniture
gross - i am fed up of being covered in snot, and stopping charlie unpacking things.

    so far we have had,
    • unpack the bib bag x 3 times
    • unpack a whole pack of baby wipes
    • try to unpack the TV cabinet which has the hinged doors tied with string, so he managed to get his finger trapped, and then tears and more snot
    • unpack the toy box
    • unoack the nappy bag
    • bash on my laptop several times
    • unpack the magazine rack
house is looking quite grotty, and i feel about the same. i have also had tantrums when i have tidied things back up, and when i zipped the bags. :rotfl: At this rate i will be happy next week when i get some peace and quiet while he is at nursery. I don't really mean that, but i would need the patience of a saint today.

sorry to hear there are some stiff necks/backs today. Take it that bit easier tracey and lil-me, and whoever the 3rd one was.

best ring about the car in a minute. Rang earlier but it was still on the ramps

also spent £350 on the car, so i think i now need to not spend anything else. Doh, except i can't as i promised my sister i would go on a day trip next week, and i still need new clothes for work, and i have to start paying for the nursery next week. Think i had best put some money from savings into current account until i get paid or we will be skint

    Its our 5th wedding anniversary today :j :T  :D :j
Hubby made it back in time for lunch but has been asleep since (bless, her is but a simple man after all). I left the kids here (with him asleep  on sofa) while I did my mystery shop and sneaked into Waitrose cafe for a cuppa and my Harry Potter book for half an hour :T .

I got more done today than I thought including face painting with the children, and we also made some caterpillars, and I arraged (well stuck in a vase) the flowers that hubby bought me :j . Need to wrack my brains for tea now. Forgot to defrost what we were supposed to be having and now can't be bothered to make anything at all.

    Todays update

    get kids up, dressed, breakfasted
    [STRIKE]- tidy up after breakfast

    - do face painting with children[/STRIKE]
    - text Orange for Orange Wednesday thing as we are going to cinema tonight
    - hoover out whats left of double buggy and clean chassis
    - reassemble double buggy covers
    - clear out bureau - really must do this, its been on list for ages
[STRIKE]- do lunch - salami and sweetcorn wraps (kids), cheesy tortillas (me)
    - tidy up after lunch

    - make caterpillars with children
    - paint DDs nails - she loves them!
    - attempt to scrape paint off DS face (he was bored of it) - according to box it is easy to remove, in reality, quite the opposite. He now looks badly bruised
    - mystery shop at bank
[/STRIKE]- fix spare room cupboard door
    - sort receipts
    - open a new account for maternity leave fund and move money in there
    - check hubbys expenses and offset against credit cards where required
    - do tea
    - tidy up from tea
    - get kids bathed and to bed - hubby should be home, he can do this
    - tidy playroom
    - dishwasher on
    - dishwasher emptied
    - go to cinema with hubby to see Harry Potter
    :j

Will probably try and catch up on some of this tomorrow as the bathrooms dont need too much doing.

You need to host it on a site like www.photobucket.com once you upload it it gives you a web link to copy and paste onto the post (I usually use the second one down)

    Congratulations by the way :D
One day I might be more organised...........

    You feeling better, nicki!

poohbear - hope your dad's doing better.

Chin up, becca  Kids can be completeley selfish - my MIL asserts that they need to be. Something to do with a survival instinct

    Congrats to Jill D!

Had a lazy afternoon sewing with DD. We made proper puff pastry, and there's a chicken and veg pie in the oven (with a cake, to fill it up) which we'll have with beans and carrots from the garden.

I'm officially a better cook than I thought!!!! You should see my yorkshire puddings, wow, same recipe but they look fantastic, have risen lovely. All that frustration and it was the darn old oven!!! I'm really pleased with myself, can you tell :rotfl: this was it's first real 'test' and they came out great! Roll on trying a cake once I can stand long enough to make it.

Have posted tomorrows list, I know it's early and I haven't finished my stuff for today yet but thought I'd get it done before I forget.

Penny you're definately braver than me, I wouldn't know where to start with puff pastry that you don't just 'roll'

    You feeling better, nicki!

Yes I am, I've still got incredible ear/jaw ache and still can't eat anything "harder" then bread but I'm feeling more like me :D Even done 2 wash loads, made the beds & done the dishes :D Now I'm going to have a quiet night playing games and hanging out on the internet....nothing new there then :rotfl::rotfl:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.
Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!

Glad to see you still love your cooker  The puff pastry is a bit of a wager with DH. I discovered last week that his mother uses ready-made (and she's the best home cook I know) and DH said that was fine, as I've never made it for him either    Course I have - and I said I'd prove it  It's very relaxing thing to do when you have time to spend on it.

Luckily, it's risen nicely, but he'd better be home soon, or it'll be burnt.
