Stopping for a cuppa and a quick update of my list.
Sexymouse, very sensible, it wouldn't have occured to me to ring CAB.
lil_me, I hope the new drugs work and I'm very impressed with the defrost button!
Michelle, happy reorganising when it arrives. Very jealous.
Pollybear, I'm glad you haven't cried today. You might if your sponge cake turns out like mine do!

So windy I've just put washload number 5 out on the line, been scrabbling around to find washing and get as much done before the weather changes but the downside is dreaded ironing.

    Thursday Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
    Level One
    Clear any clutter from desk
    Level Two
[strike]Clean bath, toilet and sink [/strike]
    Dust PC and desk

[strike]Vacuum/sweep and mop these rooms [/strike]
Wipe keyboard and mouse (these usually have more germs on than your toilet so important)
    [strike]Wipe down tiles in bathroom[/strike]
    Extra mission:
Pick whichever you want to attempt
    Clean windows in today's rooms
    [strike]Wash your bathroom mats [/strike]
[strike]Sort your toiletries, flinging anything well past it's use by and those empty containers. Leave out what needs using first like the last bit of shower gel in a bottle etc.[/strike] Always on-going

    My list for today
    [strike]Ring Happy Birthday Bro[/strike]
    [strike]Colour hair[/strike]
    [strike]WM x3 good and windy today[/strike] 5 done
[strike]Ring vet. Bob's been fighting again and limping on the other foot[/strike] 4pm
Charity shop drop off walked round with 1, 2 to go
[strike]Go to Tip with branches[/strike] might be some more in a bit if I get going
    then Clean car out
    Sort car insurance
Ring loans people -there must be a better deal Got my settlement figure and they couldn't better it so carry on looking
Look at all my direct debits - in vain
Clean windows (my mother coming over on Sunday!)
Write a 'snagging' list for my lovely Step-Dad.
    Pot house plants on
Clean up a big bag of honey jars I rescued from work.

Back at 3 for more of the same and a bit more crossing off hopefully.

It is quiet on here this morning, does that mean everyone is cleaning wildly?

    I have done my daillies:
    hoover
    washing
    tidying

I also made quiche for tonight, Thursday is our busy night with clubs etc so need a ready prepared meal and everyone here prefers their quiche cold, made a tomato salad and a roast pepper salad to go with it

Did bathroom yesterday, could do master bedroom but not really in the mood but I suppose I could make myself, let me think: ironing, masterbedroom?, ironing, masterbedroom? ..... both as bad as eachother, need to do both really, see how I feel after my lunch of left over chili from last night

Lil-me : Hope your throat gets better soon with the new meds. Magic, a defrost button on your cooker. I have read about these new fangled cookers where you hold the barcode of the food in front of it and the oven knows how long to cook it for and on what setting. Has anyone heard of these or has one?

Mine hasn't got a barcode, I think I have seen them on microwaves rather than ovens, also seen the advertising on food. Samsung do them, smart ovens I think they are called. Would be pretty pointless to me as I don't buy much pre packed food now.

The defrost button on mine does however use electric as it just makes the fan go (doesn't heat up) from what I can gather, so will only be used when needed (like in cheesecake emergencies!)

Edit found this artical http://www.pocket-lint.co.uk/news/news.phtml/2795/3819/samsung-smart-oven-ready-meals.phtml seems it's mainly Samsung partnering up with Bird's Eye so far, could be one of those things that is only ever useful for one product.
One day I might be more organised...........

Afternoon all. DS had a lovely time at the activity centre and is exhausted so I feel fine about him lying on the sofa with the tv on for a bit.

Going to crack on with DS2 bedroom and then comes down and sort the toys with DS3 in a bit. Be back later.

BTW what has happended to Hev?

I am having a day from hell

First the kids woke me at 5.30am (so much for the 8.30 yesterday) complaining of being hungry - thats what they get for not eating their tea last night.

Then during breakfast the youngest knocked her cereal off the table when she was fighting with her sister, broke the bowl and sent milk and frosties everywhere (on my recently cleaned floor)

Then the council decided not to empty the garden bin as it was apparently full of soil & turf (it has neither just an awful lot of weeds), I phoned the refuge people to get a supervisor to come out and after explaining for 20 mins that there wasn't anything in there that shouldn't be there they agreed to send someone. That someone has just been and my bin is too heavy and they will not empty it until I have removed some of the weeds etc, to which I asked where have I to put the excess, apparently I could take it up to the tip, HOW. Anyway I then stated that I would empty some out into the general bin as that is fairly empty, to which he told me that no that bin wouldn't be emptied as I had filled it with the wrong stuff/materials. So i have been left with a full garden bin and no solution.

Also took the kids with me while I did a quick shop but they spend the whole time going round asda's asking for this that and the next thing that I finally snapped and told them to stand in the one place witht he trolley and not to move and I went round finishing my shopping bringing the shopping back to them.

Anyway rant over, I am away for a cuppa and to start my list although on the plus side I did 2 hours of paper filing last night so the study is looking much better and the desk is clear enough to wip down.

Hello everyone! Newbie here - I've looked at the flylady site before as I have M.E and everything looks so much more manageable! Would I be best waiting until next week, starting this week's today or starting from Thursday and missing Mon, Tue & Wed? Thanks! :)

    hoover main traffic area
    water plants in greenhouse
    put out bins

Apologies for my earlier rant much calmer now - a neighbour who only has grass in their garden is going to empty half of my bin into his for next weeks collection so that is one thing less to worry about but still very p****d off with the whole thing.

It has obviously got me fired up as I have worked my way more or less through todays list as well as getting out and dried 4 washes I reckoned that I would take advantage of the sunny & windy day and catch up on the washing.

Off to sort out tea - only me and OH as kids are being fed elsewhere they are also staying for a sleep over,as we are heading to the football tonight, so I think that once they have gone I will grab some time for a bath and some quiet time:D

Bibbitybob its up to you whether you start today or wait for next monday, all the rooms will get repeated during next week so you will soon catch up. I started midweek and it didn't make a difference. Welcome onboard.

Hi there Bibbitybob, welcome to the thread!
Thursdays is usally bathrooms so you could jump in tomorrow when the list goes up if you wanted. Friday is kids rooms, but some of us with none at home have the day off :D . Either way you'll be made welcome and have a good chance to have a moan or a chat into the bargain. Just remember Baby steps at first it pays in the long run.

Edit to say, oops it IS Thursday. I've lost the plot!

Dusty, I 'saw' Hev on another thread last week I think, maybe she's having a break?
jjef, infuriated on your behalf other than sneaking it into bags in the regular stuff I don't know what I would do.

Going to do some light gardening duties for half an hour 'til its time to catch Bob for the v.e.t.and the sit down jobs can wait 'til this evening.

I found a HUGE frog (maybe a toad?) living in the storage bench where I keep my garden bin bags and pots. I'll have to see if one of my neighbours has a pond for it.

Have fun doing what you're doing, back this evening.

    Afternoon people

We had a lovely night out last night, maanged to fit in a coffee before the film, and the film was very good. Long though, we were sat down almost 3 hours, my bladder just about held out, but I thought my bump was going to cut off blood supply to my legs it felt so heavy :rotfl:

As usual I am completey shattered but hubby let me have a bit of a lie in today which helped, and I have done loads including all of us going out for a sandwich for olunch at Waitrose (oo how posh).

    My list for today:

    - tidy up after breakfast

    [STRIKE] - washing on

    - hoover main bedroom
    - hoover kids bedrooms - in advance of tomorrow
    - dust and cobweb kids bedrooms - in advance of tomorrow
    - hoover stairs and all downstairs rooms
    [/STRIKE]
    - fix spare room cupboard door
    - sort receipts
    - open a new account for maternity leave fund and move money in there
    - check hubbys expenses and offset against credit cards where required
    - do tea
    - tidy up from tea

    - get kids bathed and to bed
    - tidy playroom

    - ironing
    - dishwasher on
    - dishwasher emptied

As I've done the kids rooms I shouldn't have too muc to do tomorrow which is good as we are out for a lot of the day, and then I could get some bits done off my list when we are at home.
