that is after he unpacked my bedside cabinet which is full of tut. Good job he isn't older as i had a slight twinge of embarassment when some condoms flew out as he demolished it, but he was happy with a headband with boingy sparkly ball things on it.

:rotfl: Was the headband from your bedside cabinet too? Always useful to have close at hand ;)
    Sorry, Michelle.

Mum of many, don't beat yourself up, you've done more than nothing and that's just fine.

Poohbear, sending a hug west for you. You've got some big stuff going on right now, Flying can wait.

Lil_me, enjoy your kid free time!

JillD, I work with loads of women and we have a habit of hi-jacking each other's hormones (ie getting into synch) Our Cry Club must be delightful for the blokes who work there!

Bob's been vetted, the vet suggested fitting him with a little pair of boxing gloves. Nice man, bit daft. Given up on the outside jobs and making slow progress on the sit down jobs. I know I wasn't going to come back on here 'til later but I've sorted my car insurance and saved £100. Woohoo! So chuffed that I bothered, I never usually do but then I've never had t'internet previously. Next stop.. House insurance!

Just digesting my dinner before I get back to it.

Have finished DS2 room complete with fresh bedding.

Started to sort the toys with DS3 - he has been so good without his brothers here and I don't think he wants them back:rotfl:

Michelle I chucked heaps out of my wardrobe too - only did bottoms so tops still to do - I need to loose a tummy aswell.

Poohbear hugs to you, did you have 2 doing A levels at the same time? I can offer no advise, is it possible to let the dust settle and then re look? Could he do resits in the autumn?

Poohbear, is DS able to resit any of his modules in January? This is what I did when I nearly failed my A levels. I was predicted an A, B and C, and ended up with DDE. I needed a minimum of BBC. I was planning a year out to go travelling, but ended up retaking one module at my 6th form, and then went to our local college to retake one of my other A levels. This has also been good when it comes to job applications, as it shows that I wanted to improve myself and was willing to do the work recquired to do so.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

poohbear I hope you manage to sort something for your son, must be so frustrating for him, aswell as you of course. Congratulations to your DS2 aswell of course on getting his place. Wish I could do something to help take the pressure off, you've got so much on at the minute and sounds as though it's just all being sent to test you.

Peace now over, world war 3 errupted in garden, think the kids are getting sick of the sight of each other! The other kids here most days from first thing in the morning until last thing at night.

Just about to do tomorrows post, oh those lovely Friday's, you never know my partner might get round to fastening that shelf to the wall without an excuse (and pigs might fly!)
One day I might be more organised...........

    Hi all,
Just a quick visit to say I have done absolutely nothing today except deal with teenagers and phone calls. Haven't done a thing on my list for the week. DS2 has got his place at uni, DS3 has failed everything and is not only depressed and frustrated but also without a job or course to go to in September. I've tried talking to College, employers and school. I feel dizzy with all the different advice but we have basically got nowhere today.
I really think it is all getting to me again, what with dad being so poorly and DS being miserable. I cried when I was on the phone to the careers people.
    Bibbitybob,
I have ME too and FMS and other than this weeks general inability to do any flying at all this thread has really helped me. Generally I get less frustrated as I know if I can't manage things I can leave them and they come around again next week.

Thanks poohbear, it's good to hear that this is manageable with ME. I'm quite chuffed with how much I've got done from the list, but the office has only just been tidied so it was a bit of a cheat day really! :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your son - I'd second what others have suggested re: resits in Jan. The other option is your local college will probably have courses that don't require A-levels...ours has many vocational ones too which often lead to apprenticeships (my OH is a tutor at our local, hence the knowledge - I think most of his students don't even have GCSE's, so definitely worth checking out).

    Post now up for Friday

I was right, we had missed DS1s new transport person last week, he's just popped round. He seems very nice, lovely with the bairn so I'm happy. One downside for me is he's first to be picked up, I struggled to get him going for the 8.45am school start here, he's getting picked up at 8.15am! Oh no! Plus side for him is he gets to get on first, something he prefers. He'll be the last dropped off at probably 3.55pm so he'll have plenty of time to wind down after school on the way home. Crikey he's going to be out nearly 8 hours a day. Need to start getting him dressed etc by that time next week and start his tablets earlier etc to get him into the routine, that'll be fun!

Oh and good news my fruit and veg lady has reappeared, seems she's been coming at a different time so I've not seen her. Just spent some cash however which means more grocery budget gone but stuff I needed and reasonably priced. Pleased I didn't order the much more expensive F&V box delivery. Fruit salad for breakfast tomorrow I think :D

I am so chuffed that i may sit and write my list for tomorrow, although i am going to take charlie out, as DH said oh - has charlie been in the bathroom and our room then, as the trail of destruction was easy to follow. So if we are out hopefully he will make less mess. Also need to sort out the house a bit for the in-law visit on Saturday, although that is in the afternoon so there will be some time to catch up in the morning,

will spend some time now chilling out and catching up on my computer time :T

solway amazingly yes, the headband was in the same drawer. Told you it was full of tut! It was from my 21st, and as most of the pressies i got were jewellery, and my jewellery was all stolen in a robbery when i was 22 it is lovely to have a keepsake. The magpie loved the sparkly balls and the pink feathers. And yes, i did ask for a bit of teasing.

Same here...thats whats prompted me to get the house tidy...last time she came round she offered to take the kids down the shops , which was nice but she then started to clean all the rubbish out of the buggy before she took them...really got my back up but OH shouted at the and told her to leave things alone!!!!! Glad he did & not me!!!
