Dustykitten many thanks for the list, my DD2 has loads of polly pocket and as she has just had a birthday most of it is still near or in a box. I will check them all in the morning.

Heading off for an early night, will catch up with the list in the morning although if my memeory is right then its the master bedroom and I will need to start early in the morning as it has been getting ignored lately.

    Night all.

Jill my love calm down we have all been there. Kids need to know that parents have feelings and that it is ok to cry. DS3 said to me today 'mummy why did you choose Daddy to marry you are always shouting at him and him at you?'Cut yourself some slack Mrs you are doing great. Tomorrow is another day and it is great that you want hubby back xx

*COUGH* Sorry it's so late but for those night owls post is now up. Got some paperwork to deal with then will try to read through.

JillD sorry honey I agree with the rest, kids need to see emotions to know it's ok to cry sometimes when you're a grown up aswell I think. I remember a boy at school came in one day when we were about 14 so upset as his Mam was crying that morning, he was so shocked as he'd never seen an adult show emotion before and didn't know what to do. Don't worry my kids who were being pretty ok so far have been a nightmare today, especially DS2 who is usually quite good, what a sod he's been!

Dusty thanks for that, my nephew has lots of Batman toys inc ones I've bought him, will pass that on to my sister.

    Mumofmany Welcome

Dustykitten - see now those pesky hormones you have made me want to cry again LOL. I suppose you are right, I have a friend who swore she would never let her kids see her cry, I dont know anyone else who ever expressed an opinion one way or the other so I suppose in my head I assumed everyone didnt let their kids see them cry. Thanks for making me see its ok for them to see me crying and that their world wont come crashing down. They have both said to me today "Mummy are you tired" cos thats what I normally say when I cry, cos usually thats at the root of it these days (must get to bed ....)
You made me laugh with the "why did you choose daddy to marry" :rotfl: I'm sure my two think the same thing too. I am feeling a bit better, well a lot better really, but just a bit sorry for myself.

I'm sure hubby isn't too chuffed at another night away from home, and its his own busines so the extra flight comes out of his own pocket, not some faceless company, he will be well hacked off at his partner who is the one who booked the flightsd with only an hour to connect. (Though to be fair he booked them like that so hubby could get home as early as possible for our anniversary).

AnW's Mum - I need to pin up the hem and then see if they look too short, they are still haning below the window sill but once pinned up it might be a close call! Its weird, they are gingham and looked fine, I cut a big line abotu 2 inches along the bottom and then just tore it, I assumed it would tear straight but now they are haning about 3 inches longer at one end
A nice piece of really bright pink along the bottom might look quite nice though, and being a bit woder wouldnt hurt either, and as I have to get the sewing machine out anyway ....... thanks for the idea. Will let you know! Am hoping to go into town ON MY OWN on weekend to get fitted for nursing bgras - how exciting - not - so might have a look for some nice material then.

And yeah this littleun has had a lot of hioccups this week too, I love that. Its a weird one this one though, doea a lot of very squirmy moves, its quite different to the others. I wonder if it is bigger and has less room ? Hope not! Did you see that thing in the paper about the 14 pounder last week that was born NATURALLY WITH ONLY GAS AND AIR

Oh Jill everything seems to mount up at times like this. I am sure DH will do all in his power to make that flight given that it is your wedding anniversary, try to stay positive, we'll all send positive vibes for you both ;)

Just a sugggestion, get the kids involved in some craft stuff for Daddy, papier machie (sp) balloons or plates. Welcome home cards/pictures. Or how about a pamper session or you all, my DD and DS love having their nails painted although DS will say 'take it off now mummy' almost as soon as it is done! I only put very thin coats of polish on him that are practically dry as soon as it's on. Face painting, you could all do each other and take pics to show DH. Got some fantastic pics of me and DH of DD's efforts on our faces :rotfl:

Sod the housework tomorrow, try and make it a fun day for you all, and have a HUG fro me :)

well DD was 9lb 6oz when she was born so you never know! That was one of the things I really missed when both of mine were born, the squirming inside, such a nice feeling.

And I agree with Dusty it is ok to cry in front of the children. There have been plenty of times this last year when my 2 have put their arms round me and told me 'it will be ok mummy'
