Kaz - Crikey that is cheap, I think the cheapest I've ever paid in a shop was £35 then got some exactly same size and style on ebay for £20, here was me thinking that was a saving! Downside is DS2s is going into a 5 now, I think he'll need a 5 before he starts school but waiting until last week of hols for him as he grows so quick, he's only 6 years old! He's going to need adults shoes soon which mean even higher prices soon. He wanted the toy shoes but they only do up to 2 1/2
Clarks in many areas have later opening times in the school hols, I noticed on the website, might be worth a look. http://clarks.titled.co.uk/back_to_school/ has a list of usual times then extended times.
One day I might be more organised...........

Tuesday is really hard for me, as things are all over the place so there's nothing to dust! Plus we don't have stairs as we live in a flat.
OH hoovered the living room this morning, which was nice of him. Our hallway has been hoovered too.
Other jobs for today:
[STRIKE]Do the banking
Get milk, loo roll
RiSi books to Post Office

Well, I have done nothing as far as housework is concerned.
Been out nearly all day with the kids in the boats. Had great fun!
Am now truly shattered!
Cooking dinner, and got dancing lessons tonight!...
*ugh*
mumoftwo: how was 1st day at secondary school?
and you're welcome!0 -
Grey and miserable rainy windy day here, Yuck.
Hugs to all those who feel poorly or who have poorly people to care for.
Front room and stairs sorted.
DS 'helped' me hoover the carpet and sofa!
Bought a couple of very nice large cushion covers from Poundland yesterday which match our sofa really well and are a lot cheaper than paying out for a spare set. Just need to be in the right place at the right time for that kind of thing. So some of the covers have been washed along with one of the throws.
Tried to get DS to do some spellings this morning and it was a trial to say the least. Lots of 'oh mum that's sooooo hard' and laying across the table in exasperation of being made to do 'schoolwork'. Not fun.
Had a visit from my aunt and cousins this afternoon and they entertained themselves with a magic set for a while before performing the tricks on us.
No tea to cook this evening as we've been invited round to a friend's.
The ironing pile is still there, really must do some when we get back later as now there's more dry clothes to be added to it....it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

House is full again
Kids had a great first day. Well DD1 (13) wasn't that impressed, just glad to see her pals. DD2 thought it was good and her big sister looked after her at lunchtime (not too much as not to cramp her)They loved talking about mutual teachers they have.
Living room is done, all sparkly and tidy, told kids NOT to dump their shoes and school bags in the livingroom and take them upstairs. Start as you mean to go on
Welcome home Michelle, sorry you are not feeling well...
did some washing, but couldn't face the ironing, ah well, tomorrow is another day......0 -
