Afternoon, not got far at all. Finished the ironing and yesterday's paperwork which is good. Sorted toys in family room but not living room. No housework though.
My sister popped in which was lovely at 3:30 and has only just left. OH to DS3 to his swimming lesson - he was the only one who turned up so he is not impressed, good value for a private lesson though.
My sis is an image consultant so we went through my wardrobe throwing out all the stuff which does not suit/fit me. A big bag for charity and a couple of bits to ebay. Need to go to the shops now and try to follow 'her rules' a bit like Trinny and Suzannah. Decided I need a new haircut too.
Right need to see if tea is ready and then I am going to do my list. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

This counts as housework for me! Well done Dusty  . Ok, so I couldn't resist checking in earlier as Neighbours has just finished and OH is in the kitchen making tea to compensate for not noticing what I had done today, despite being given 3 chances! He's just arrived with said tea, and asked for a kiss, so I made him appologise first.
Right, off to read some more MSE threads to keep myself occupied for the next 15 minutes before we go to MIL for dinner. Got roped in to taking my sister to Whitely for a job interview tomorrow avo, so will try to get cracking on the list for tomorrow if it is up when I get back from MIL.

just made and froze our first proper batch of baby food too, chicken potato and veg fed her one meal tonight and have enough for at least 2 more meals. planning to do that every night now, freeze them into ice cubes and then pop them into sandwhich bags once theyre frozen0 -
Hi again,
thanks for the link Lil_me will have a look in a bit. Looks like your DS2 is going to be a big lad bless him, my lad's 15 and is only in a 6.
Look like DD is going to be a skinny minny as well as just had to exchange a set of shorts/Tshirts I bought in May as they swamp her. Luckily they still had a matching set of shorts so the girl exchanged them even tho outside the 28 days.
Nice to see you on here debtfreehopeful. Just remember baby steps, dont try to do it all at once. The list becomes easier to do it all after a few weeks. First time I wiped my kitchen cupboards down took an hour, now under 5 mins. Its the keeping at it that makes it easy, so if you choose a diff extra each week you gradually get round it all. Fingers crossed for hubby too.
What to tackle next.
Clear up tea things I guess, then ironing and sorting clothes ready to pack. Oh and DS decided to clear his wardrobe out AFTER we come back from shopping, he now has Mount Everest of clothing on the floor in his room that doesnt fit and says perhaps I do need a bit more stuff mum  He'll probably tell me what he needs for school the day after they go back.
See you soon
PS Poor OH just text to say he's gonna be another hour and a half late. Grrrrrr.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Evening busy folks,
Hugs to all the poorlies today (a lot of it about) and to those looking after poorlies too.
Well done to those of you who've done lots of Flying today, especially New people and welcome to the thread Mum of many!
Sorry it's a general hello, I had all of yesterday evening's posts to read as well as today's and you've all been busy.
Still on my flea mission, but I can't get any of the bedding/sofa throws dry 'cos it's lashing down. Don't know whether I'm coming or going with this Summer. I'm going to do the hall this evening then that'll be Tuesday's list done. Not in the mood for much tonight but I've got to sort things I'll need to take to work tomorrow. I'm staying at my friend's house after a leaving do on Friday and the whole logistics of travel and overnight bags and leaving cars at work etc means I have to give her my stuff tomorrow. Talk about starting to get ready early for a party..! Best not leave it too late or I'll have 5 tops, no trousers and mismatched shoes packed.
Going to make a start. I've just had a snivelly sneezing fit but I'm blowed if I'm putting the heating on in mid-August.

Hi everyone,
Struggling to get motivated yesterdsay and today. In the end I gave up trying yesteday, and went downtown to but DS2 some school shoes - sorry pigpen! He's grown two sizes in the last year, needed a 10 or 10 1/2 . They measured in the children's dept, but didn't have any in his size, so we had to go downstairs and try the men's dept... fortunately, the assistant there was trained to fit properly. She also said that if he is growing a lot at the moment, he may grow out of them before the start of term. I was in shock by then, but she promised that if I go back with him when we come back from France, just before the start of term, she'll check them again, and exchange for a different size if needed.
Today, I did the kitchen level 2.5 (sorry, no oven again...) and the sittingroom etc about the same. The hall and stairs are still looking really good from the decorating so not much needed there. Just as well, as this afternoon was the sock and pants trip to Asda!
kazmeister - I have tall slim children too! I hunt through the sales stuff in Debenhams, as the John Rocha and Jasper Conran stuff often comes up very slim fit. I can't usually afford to buy full price, but they reduce them a lot at the end of the sale. I also go to TKMaxx.
Hope all the poorly ones soon feel better. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Hiya
Been out to the lake district all day so all very tired and no cleaning done. Will catch up tomorrow. Hope everyone is well and not getting to soggy if they have the rain we're having at the moment! xxJanuary budget

- get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be - did this in the living room and bathroom
I really should make a start on some of this - but don't feel like it. Eldest DD was up half the night with her tonsilitis (is it me or does everyone seem to have it  ). Her antibiotics haven't kicked in yet. I had mine taken out so hopefully won't get it. She wants them out now cos it's the 3rd time she's had it this year (she's 15).
I've got to :
Go to the PO with letters for Brownies and coupon swaps - Done
Take videos in to be transferred to DVD - Got to ask about getting the Copyright for 2 of them (nursery videos from about 10 years ago)
Put stuff on EBay
Get photocopies of driving licences off to insurance company
Look for a new Sims 2 (tried to install it on laptop last night and the disc is scratched) well this is half done - looked but I think I might buy it from EBay
Pick up camera from menders
And it's persisting down with rain grrr
Did the ironing and put a load of washing on (just needs to be dried now)
Put all the washing away as well
Just got to do the dishwasher now0 -
evening all, (((hugs))) to everyone who is poorly, there seem to be a lot of you around, hope you all feel better soon, and for anyone's little ones who are suffering.
My day seemed like h3ll at the time but looking back not so bad really. Have felt knackered all day after a dreadful night's sleep and I swear the miserable weather makes it seem worse. Met a friend for coffe this morning and took kids to another friends this afternoon to play. On the way I went to this market research type place to pick up some papers for a study I am getting paid to participate in. I have to fill in a diary for a week with what fresh fruit and veg is in my fridge/cupboard, how much we've eaten and anything we've bought. Then take back the diary a week later, and get paid £25. Not bad eh. Doing a mystery shop at a bank tomorrow for a tenner. Did several last week got about £45. All money for the maternity leave fund pot.
Seemed like h3ll cos the kids just seemed to be out to annoy each other most of the time, and DS has wet himself 3 times, lied about it, thrown toys at me, etc etc. And when its like that I know it is going to be like this and some when the baby is born and the 2 older ones start attention seeking. And then I get in a right panic!
Anyway kids went to bed ok, and I have been stuffing myself with chocolate to get over the stresses of the day!
Have been sorting through some recipes and magazines etc, quite therapeutic. Oh and had great fun labelling boxes in the garage earlier, its looking a bit more organised in there now.
