Remove clutter making sure stairs especially are safe
    Level 3
    Wipe light switches and banister
Clean any other glass like mirrors etc
    Tidy shoes, coats and bags
    Vacuum under furniture
    Extra Mission:
    • Clear one hotspot, or just spend at least 5 minutes tackling it
    • Spend 10 minutes clearing one storage area, anywhere in the house, cupboard, drawer, dumping ground, choice is yours
    • Clean windows in these rooms, or even just one
    • get yourself a bag or box, go around collecting things that are not in the place they should be, then put them back where they should be
I really should make a start on some of this - but don't feel like it. Eldest DD was up half the night with her tonsilitis (is it me or does everyone seem to have it  ). Her antibiotics haven't kicked in yet. I had mine taken out so hopefully won't get it. She wants them out now cos it's the 3rd time she's had it this year (she's 15).

    I've got to :

Go to the PO with letters for Brownies and coupon swaps
Take videos in to be transferred to DVD
    Put stuff on EBay
Get photocopies of driving licences off to insurance company
Look for a new Sims 2 (tried to install it on laptop last night and the disc is scratched)
    Pick up camera from menders

And it's persisting down with rain grrr

Hugs to nicki hope you feel better soon. Ettenna and pennny hope your DDs are better soon. Welcome home & hugs to Michelle and Charlie :( sorry to hear you've come home poorly.

Oh bother, I got the extras in the others bins, then forgot to put mine out. Just recycling gone :( means I have a full bin for another week.

DP has finally put the rack up, spirit level must be broken as it's definately not straight, but it's hidden behind the door so don't care too much! At least its up

OK not a fantastic start, also done 3 loads of washing and drying completed a survey about the washing liquid that was sent to me oh and I defluffed the brush bar on the hoover, does that get me extra brownie points?

More washing done, not enough left for a load now, freecycle item collected and couple more listed. Bins about to be emptied ready for bin day tomorrow (need to double check which bin it is though! green or black)

Afternoon all, hugs to all the poorlies.

We're back from the shopping trip minus the shoes  but did get some of the other things I needed, including new set of suitcases.

The shoe place was a nightmare we arrived at 10, only an hour after they had opened so not to bad for a 45mile journey each way. Our ticket number was 62 and they were serving 38! Ok see how quickly they move. 25 minutes later they were on number 40 ..... Mmm me thinks thats about 3 1/2 hours waiting time. Now we like start-rite shoes especially half price at the factory shop but not if I have to wait that long, not even if they are showing films in a waiting room !!! I hope you didnt go as well lbnblbnb, I certainly wont try that one again, oh why did they have to close the factory shop in our town  . So we went off into other parts of Norwich to try and get DS some clothes for holiday and very little success there either. I think I'm going to start a business called Skinny boy stuff. Well he's 15 and cant fit into boys stuff as it goes to about age 11/12 (ok he can get in the waist of them but they're too short) and he's way too small for mens. He's now getting really self conscious about it too. Poor laddie in his age 8-9 boxers :rotfl: .

Well I've had me cuppa, best I go do some work now.

all i want to do is sleep and i am still running a fever, but i am being a trooper and down on the floor playing and have managed one load of darks through the WM and got some sausages out of the freezer for dinner.

also, relisted 13 items on amazon while charlie had a morning snooze. he's ready for another nap but won't give in. wish he would as he is in one of those climb up you moods, and i really don't feel up to it.

supposed to be making the most of this week too as next monday is the dreaded nursery start day.

there does seem to be a lot of illness round. Is it the constant change of the weather from hot to cold??

Well I decided to do some of the extra missions first after polishing the brass on the front door (which I enjoyed), and did the extra missions 1&2 by clearing up the dumping area next to my desk, as it can be seen down the hall from the front door, and have spent all this time doing it as we have the recycling bin collected on Friday and most of it was paperwork from my PGCE. Amongst all of the papers, I found my birth certificate, and nearly threw it out because it was in an envelope from when I'd applied for my student loan:eek: so good job I checked everything carefully, as I was born in the middle east, so getting a new one may have proved tricky!

I've put the washing away that was in the basket in the hallway so that I can hoover, and now I can just keep on going now that I've cleared the dumping area. :j I've taken about 6 binloads to the recycling bin outside and it is now very full! :T The bin people will be pleased lol. :rotfl:

Time for a very late lunch methinks, as we have dinner at MIL tonight at 6.30pm, so don't want to be still full from lunch. Will then try and do some of the tasks that I'm meant to have done from the main list.

    See you all here later.

    Sexymouse xx

With shoe measuring we go in, get a ticket then have a look round other shops for a while once we find out roughly what the wait is, especially in the hols it is a nightmare! Didn't even know they had factory shops, I've never seen one. I tend to buy a pair in the shop in my sons size then see if any new unused ones come up on Ebay..

Michelle if I was you I'd go have a sleep with him, sounds like you could do with it, well done for doing what you have but take some time to get better, nice snuggle with Charlie I'd say counts as quality time :) .

    Hi lil-me

I think if we had been in the city I would of done the same but it was on an industrial estate that I'd done well to find anyway! We used to have the factory shop in our town and I've always favoured the Start-rite styles over Clarks because both my 2 have narrow feet and the styles seem to be less chunky. We used to love our little shop, all the kids had record cards so you knew how long they had them and what size they were and although they were seconds I have never in 15 years been able to tell the difference and all about half price. School shoes normally £10 - 15 and I make sure they always have properly fitted shoes if they are going to wear them for any length of time. DD's wearing S/R trainers that were £5, and DS last school shoes were bought when the shop was closing for £2.50. Leather Rhinos normally £30 - 40, real bargain. Will just have to face the Clark shop queue on friday now.
