Hugs to both nicki and pen pen sounds you have both been through the mill a bit. First row in 8 years nicki wow! Try and take it easy this next couple of days, tonsilitis is nasty, I didn't realise hoe awful it could make you feel till I had it for the first time last year. DH really looked after me and the kids so I could just hide in bed while it got better.Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0

Morning! Hugs to those not well today or have poorly LO's. Thanks to JillD for the hug!
Horrible, wet day here today but my lawn could do with it. Not really got a lot planned for today, did most of the list last night for the viewers but not sure if i fancy venturing out in this weather. DS back in bed after we played for two hours, he was rearing to go this morning but think I've tired him out now, had quite a bit of sleep yesterday so need to watch that today. Want to visit dad tonight but depends on what time DH get in from work. We are both dressed, have tided up, washed bottles, dogs fed, salmon defrosting for tea, had second cuppa so think I'll go and start packing up one of the kitchen cupboards, not planning on throwing any dinner parties so think its safe to pack all that kind of stuff:rotfl:

mumoftwo hope you are not finding the house too quiet, my two don't go back until next week and not sure how i will be my youngest starts in P1.
yes, it is quiet, no tv, no bickering, no "mum can I have"I do miss them. P1 is the hardest, have your hankie ready hen,
Right, I am going to start on this living room. Problem is I just received a parcel from my sister and it is all so interesting (recipe book and craft stuff).. Thanks sis. :T0 -
Nicki - hope you feel better soon.
Pigpen - know what you mean about rubbish TV. We don't watch much - mainly things that we've recorded, so it's a deliberate choice. Someone new at w*** wouldn't believe that I didn't know the jingles to adverts :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
lbnblbnb - I also hate *real* shopping, and hate children's shoe shopping the most   - what with them wanting something trendy, and the school insisting on practical. Bracing myself for later in the week.
mumoftwo - hugs for you. She'll be full of it when she gets back :T

Morning all
Best wishes to everyone who needs them, sick children and adults, school starters etc.
Raining and windy here so one load of washing hung upstairs.
I did the living room yesterday after the kitchen. Don't know what happened there, should sit down before I do anything silly like that again! So the stairs can wait until tomorrow because the vacuum will be out again then.
Veggies prepared for lunch. Usual washing up etc. done.0 -
Big hello to you all again.
We got back yesterday lunchtime, but both me and Charlie really unwell. I think it is just a cold, but i felt like it was flu yesterday, as i was really achey, and had the whole not being able to breathe thing.
so i was quite pleased with myself that i managed to unpack our bags, and wash a load of cloths/tea towels, and that i had made the effort to tidy the house before we left.
Charlie spent the afternoon wrecking the place, and i just about had enough energy to stop him breaking anything or hurting himself. He fortunately is just showing signs of a heavy cold, and although a bit grumpier than normal, is still happy to play.
Also found yet more fleas when we came home, so god knows where they are hiding as i can't possibly be any tidier than i have been in the past couple of months, and they should be well gone.
Anyway, sorry to hear that other people are poorly, or have relatives that are poorly. I did catch up on the thread, but i am still feeling so feverish that it was all i could do to read let alone take much in.
Glad to be back. Hopefully i can join in better tomorrow when the worst will probably be over.

Morning everyone!
The weather here isand horrible, so no chance of getting any washing done unless I use the TD, which I am loath to do as it costs so much to run.
Have been to the dentist this morning to have a checkup, and don't have to go back for a year, which is good. She said that my gums are healing up nicely after I had my wisdom teeth taken out last month, and that I have "excellent dentition" :A.
Managed to finish reading my library book, as I completely forgot about it because I was cleaning so hard yesterday (still feel proud when I see my clean desk) and it cost me 15p in overdue fine this morning - still nevermind, it was a good book and it meant that I had a bit longer to read it last night so I didn't rush it, and 15p won't break the bank.
So, off to do my favourite bit of all the cleaning in a mo - polishing the brass on the front door - hopefully this week's clean will mean that all of the letterbox sparkles, and then I can start on the door handle. I really am getting hooked on this cleaning lark - very sad I know!
OH brought home a window wiper for me the other day as I complained that the one I used for the car was too small, and I used it to clean the kitchen window yesterday, and it was much better. What is it they say? Little things please little minds! lol :rotfl:
Sorry to hear about all the poorlies out there. Get well wishes to everyone, and best of luck for those of you with kidlywinks going back to school - it's very early isn't it? They don't go back til September down here.
Take care, and happy flying everyone.

Thanks for the well wishes...it's so quiet here I can't settle  I've decided to put off going for a bath until later when OH is in, at least then if my arms fail me (like they have been doing) he can help me get out again
:rotfl: I've tried laying down to sleep - Nope, tried curling up and relaxing - Nope, sooo I got DDs cross stitch project she's struggling with and worked on that :rotfl: Managed to do one load of glasses & plates, there's still more needs doing, but I'm not going to push myself, besides I still need to have lunch anyway
Off to go and play some games...nothing else I can do. :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
