I started my computer journey with good old DOS. Have made my request VERY simple
Is there a USB to HMDI cable in existence ?

If you believe that the item is not available, will only then look at the alternatives.
DOS wouldn't help you - it neither supports USB nor HDMI...

Yes, those that are advertised for the phone.

I have pictures on a laptop. If they were on a phone, I can get a cable .Cheap and easy.

then plug you phone into the computer , and copy the pictures over

simple innit , or have you got some weird non standard mobile ?

you are not actually trying to solve your problem are you ?

PS: I hated Maggie , so did most of the miners in the town I lived in many years ago , so you will not be getting an xmas card from me

Of course a follow up question , which could go on for many many pages.
as there is a micro usb to HMDI why not a standard one??

The ports on your phone and tablets are very different to the port on your computer.

The is truth is there isn't a micro-usb to hdmi (it just tends to be labelled that way), what you are looking at is MHL (mobile high definition link) to hdmi, they just happen to share the same port and plug on your device so tend to get called usb-mhl.

Or even easier , just use a pen stick. I will have no problem using a variety of cheap ( free) ways of seeing my photos on the tv.

And I hate those miners who tried to stop people working.

And if you had posted that 2 pages ago we would not have had such a pleasant time this afternoon.

Maybe a little advice. Answer the question , don't go OT and keep a sense of humor at all times.
