you are still struggling with this arn,t you?

Sorry thought you had given up.

    Don't want an adapter
    Don't want an alternative method

Just a straight forward answer. There is a micro usb BUT not a standard usb. Maybe you would all like to answer the question asked and not go OT

no there is NO way of connecting a USB to a HDMI without using one of the several examples already quoted in this thread , and IF you do buy one you will find it flakey and un useable , , HOWEVER I did suggest a device from "post" dos days called an ezcast , which when set up will "mirror" your, PC or laptop or tablets display , in fact that device costs less than those stupid "adaptors that don't work .

however , as per your last post , forget the informative help on this thread

NO YOU CANNOT GET A USB TO HDMI CABLE , that will allow you to watch films/pictures etc etc on your TV from your computer

edit: tried everything in my boxes , still don,t work

Where did you search? Either I use the word "adapter" wrongly or everyone else. But here we go

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR12.TRC2.A0.H0.Xusb+to+hdmi.TRS0&_nkw=usb+to+hdmi&_sacat=0

    Plenty standard USB "adapters" available.

Nope , majority of posts , just didn't answer the question . They went OT
Suggested alternatives, which was not required, asked for info which was not pertinent .

I have now got my simple answer.

Of course a follow up question , which could go on for many many pages.
as there is a micro usb to HMDI why not a standard one??

But will let you all get back to your own lives.

Thanks but the general opinion ( so far) is not favorable. And as said, if you start paying out that much , a chromecast is the way forward.

But the micro-usb to hdmi aren't just leads, if they were they wouldn't need plugging into a pc as well.

Ok , hook line and sinker

    define a standard one ?

do you mean a STD usb plug?

well , most of those devices are not actually made for computers , they are badly advertised ones for mobile phone use , however you can use an "adaptor" like the one I posted a pic of , or simply buy an additional mini/micro usb to USB adaptor ,

I suggested ezcast , NOT chromecast , for a valid reason , which I did not bother to explain , as your reply was "its a bit OTT"

start researching , and you will see the differences

Yes, those that are advertised for the phone.

I have pictures on a laptop. If they were on a phone, I can get a cable .Cheap and easy.
