    HAHAHAHAHA...

    PEOPLE LISTEN UP...

EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU MAKE A COMPLAINT TO THE OMBUDSMAN SERVICE they will pay £550 per complaint even if you lose its cost them money. .....
I suspect many of these issues will fall outside of the remit of the Ombudsman. They don't deal with tv complaints (except Sky) or complaints about commercial decisions such as prices.

I suppose that they might consider a complaint if, for example, there was a consequential dispute about the re-contracting of broadband .

Also, they won't consider a complaint until you have followed the providers' Complaints Code and either received a "deadlock letter" or 8 weeks has passed.

I took out a BT BB+Calls (weekends)+BT TV package in May 2015, when they were giving £100 on a Visa debit card. It said BT sports would be free to watch on the TV.

Is this £5 going to affect me??
  • Also had a massive ruck with BT about this . £5 to have football I do not watch. Or drop down to BT lite and not get European rugby I do warch. So when I opt for lite am told you you have to sign a contract for another year (current one runs out jan13). This seems so blatently unfair and very anti consumer. If I however chose to opt out of their broadband that I only signed up for for the rugby I will be hit with termination charges . Surely ofcom must see this as anti competitive?

I entirely agree, but don't wait for someone else to do something about it. Get onto the Resolver service and start your own complaint, escalating all the way to the ombudsman if necessary. We must all do our bit to escalate this if we want something to happen.

Perhaps you and some others have missed or not read some previous posts on here. Sorry to say your giving out the wrong advice -

And as per this link Ofcom are giving all BT complainants -

They are only referring people back to BT to pursue the matter.

The above is wrong, according to BT's official explanation, and you should be able to resolve the issue by contacting BT via the links on the bottom of the page at http://btsupport.custhelp.com/app/answers/blank/a_id/53696/?s_cid=con_FURL_btsportreferral , by pointing BT to their own explanation!
... Existing BT Sport Pack customers can take BT Sport Lite without the need to enter a new minimum contract term and it is free of charge to BT TV customers and App Only customers. For those watching on Sky, it is free if you're in a BT Broadband minimum contract term, but £6.75 if you are outside your broadband minimum contract term and don't want to re-contract. ...

As far as I know I have 13 months left on my BB contract, but when I go on their website it encourages me to extend this as its coming to an end, it says I'll have to pay an extra £6.50 on top of the £5 when my BB contract ends.

I'm not at all happy with the way they're conducting themselves, sooner I can get away from them the better.
