I have an old sky box, so get Freeview through it. In addition, I have Netflix and Amazon prime which does me. I once got to £50 a month with sky due to their offers. Never had a TV package since. If you go for a TV package, check Quidco first as they often do goid cash back

    Thanks bexster,
Believe it or not, I was thinking Netflix and @mazon, and I'm sure I still have my old sky box somewhere. Ashamed to say my package with BT is now over £50, for internet, landline and tv - no special tv package, just basic.  Far too much.
So my thinking is to go for the Netflix and @mazon, then just find internet supplier, then onto mobile, in fact mobile has just text saying they are getting rid of old plans (that I have) and replacing with a new "plan" but they have a good offer on their internet atm, and if you are already a mobile customer then I get £2 off quoted price.

We moved to Plusnet for Landline, broadband and basic TV and both the old BT TV Box and the Plusnet one let you record stuff from FreeSat and Freeview. Pay £26 a month all in, with calls up to an hour long to land and mobiles, unlimited broadband (and an annual line rental payment) and basic TV package. Don't pay for anything else.

Thanks SL and bexster, done the rounds yesterday for mobiles while out at local shopping centre.
SL never been able to record on any of the boxes I have  :( would be a bonus if I could. I just need to make sure I
can get all the channels I watch on my next package.  Swaying towards voda for mobile and internet, they also give me a work discount of 15% which is a nice bonus.  I really need to look into all the other discounts available for me through work  - there are plenty.
Phoned yesterday to get some items picked up, they said 28 days, so decided to enter loft and see what else could be added (as workmen may need access to loft as have a small leak from chimney and they are coming friday pm) any bets they will just look and come back at a later date to repair,  only to find out - they were collecting the items as I got up this morning !!!  Good service, when you don't really want it to be that good  :)
bexster will listen out for your debut on the radio, what is that all about, need I ask !!!  I hope I'm in to hear it.
On sadder news, over the last 14 days, things have not been so good for a friend/work colleague, and sadly her husband passed away yesterday, he was in his mid-fifties.
Time to take stock, and do the things you really want to achieve, I'm really annoyed as she requested to drop a day to spend more time with him as he was ill, and was refused.  So much for the caring profession and the work/life balance.

    Hi AFK.
Sory to hear about your friend and her husband. Discounts through work sound worth a look at. Glad you are being productive now you have a few weeks off. Radio piece is about whether anyone is able to pay off their mortgage, and what I've done since I paid it off. Will be between 12.15 and 1 pm, but probably only five minutes or so.

    Bexster 🙂

Thank you, she is being quite upbeat about it atm, I think it is a relief knowing he is now out of pain for her now.
Discounts are in abundance, and I really only ever use 2 of them regular, my mobile phone and a certain eating out place.
Hope to hear you tomorrow. Exciting stuff.
Been up to the loft (where is that scary icon !!!) Oh my, worse than I remember, but had an hour at it, then broke for some lunch, now its back to it.

What would we do without lofts - probably have a garage !!! Not making any headway - finding I'm in the keep it - justin case mood, or maybe I just need a corner to put all the stuff - I mean treasures that is heading to the CS. No wonder they say - cash in the attic - I have plenty (big grin icon) Oh, if I was 6" shorter, I wouldn't have to duck all the time and keep forgetting about the strip light - so duck 12" - the number of times I've hit it.
