Heard your interview bexster, good answers !!! so well done.
Now, where on earth have I been ?  went a small shop for a couple of messages to cover me over the weekend,
and friend mentioned she was looking for small bottles of hand gel, well thought I would see if @ldi's had any, eyes popped out my head when I saw their shelves - empty !!! that was hand sanitiser, hand gel, hand soap, etc, etc on checking out saw a bottle of hand gel at each cash desk, with "Staff Use Only" on it,(wonder what would happen, if anyone saw that at my work) then heard it's now toilet rolls - eek !!! (where is that icon) disappearing off the shelves.  Panic buying somewhat.
Repair to roof today, and told another storm on the brew this weekend, and didn't even need in the loft, after my effort to "tidy" it up somewhat, so next week have told myself its throw away/give away week.
Am working 24 hrs out of 36 hrs, then free till April (big grin smiley).

Sorry to hear you have a busy weekend. Thanks re:interview.
I luckily bought a couple of hand sanitisers aweek ago, one for me and one for OH, and I only use mine when I can't get to a sink. I also had a delivery from ASDA where I got store cupboard basics for a few weeks in case they are needed. I don't consider myself at high risk of contracting it, but I am asthmatic so would ideally avoid it. You'll be no risk at all after the weekend, you'll beself isolating until April!

Have a good weekend, and a great 26 days off 🎂

28 days off, fantastic break for you! Hope you enjoy it once it arrives, do you have any special plans?
Why do we store stuff in lofts? Really? We all do it but I cannot work out the logic of why? Is decluttering your big theme for this year, and do you have one or two websites/blogs that you can recommend as inspiring or interesting?
    Sorry for all the questions!
On the hand sanitiser issue, my DH is a bit of a hoarder so we usually have at least 6 of everything, I'm just starting to see the positives of this side of his behaviour now! Plus we still have our no deal Brexit loo roll mountain...If you get stuck, let me know :)

So, here I am again, a few days ago wrote a long post only for it to disappear, Grrrr.
    Hi bexster
With the busy last working days, took a few days to recover, telling myself it's good to self isolate as the world goes crazy.  However it didn't last and went out on Thursday which just happened to be the day we had snow !!! all gone by late morning though - so we are also getting crazy weather.
Tried to order new specs, but couldn't due to them not being able to measure me - it was the girls day off, so another trip needed soon.
Although off from work, am getting emails keeping me up to date with new procedures etc, as this virus is moving fast, and alarmed to know "its not "if" you catch it but "when".  Was thinking when I left that it would either be "rife" or "disappeared" by the time I got back, but things are looking different now.
    Hi ElmoR
Decluttering always seems to be my theme, have lots of treasures which I was ebaying, all to become MF, which helped greatly, but now - I just can't be bothered, so thinking would love to do a car boot sale now, which would be much quicker, but not the right time atm.
The thread I read for inspiration is on here - http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6081729/2020-banish-the-clutter#latest - hope that works !!! a great read and so inspirational for me.  Hoarding is great but I also have OCD (sometimes), so you can imagine the time it takes me to sort everything.
Thanks for the offer ElmoR, but this virus looks like its here for the long haul (I do hope it goes away just as quickly as it appeared, though).  I have been thinking I really do need to get some basic supplies in, my freezers are full (thats no change there) but would miss bread, milk and eggs and of course - chocolate - wheres my easter chocolate eating bunny  >:)

    Hi AFK
Sorry to hear you keep getting work emails. I have decided I am going to watch as little on the virus as possible. I, like you, have a well stocked home generally. I think this will be a great bonus. I am still working, but with a view to moving most work online in the next week or so. I agree, the changes are now happening fast. I have a shop being delivered next Tuesday. We will see what does and doesn't get delivered. As for the herd immunity idea, it is beyond belief the government think this is the most acceptable option. As a scientist, herd immunity won't be achieved at 60% infection, but even if it was, imagine the scale of serious illness or death needed if 60% were to get infected. I'm very glad people ignored boris on Thursday and made moves to cancel large gatherings themselves. It USCA pity he is trying to put economics ahead of public safety

I am having to go out today (to return a purchase) as this is the last day to return it.  So have decided to buy a few
    extras.
I feel too little, too late, for the herd immunity, and am glad ignorance is bliss - for me, not being a scientist.
However the virus does mean, I may be dealing with the scale of serious illness, and could be called into work at any time, with friends being brought out of retirement.  Drastic action was required at the very beginning, not a "lets wait and see" attitude as you say economics before public safety.

Just throwing my bit in about decluttering...For the last few years I've always been an ebayer. But in reality I was just moving clutter about the house to clutter in the hope of a sale. This Christmas period I just got sick of it. I wanted it out of the house. I felt that ebay was just delaying reclaiming the house from the clutter. So ebay was forgotten and charity shop has become 'the place'. I decided the clutter wasn't worth holding onto in the hope I'd sell a t shirt for £2 after months of trying. Thankfully its also stopping us buying carp!

As for the virus I have no insight or intellect around the whole thing! SJ towers is just cracking on as normal and I have no idea what or who to believe. I'm definitely taking the BBC with a pinch of salt in the same way as Mrs SJs tales from face-ache and instacarp!

I'm ignoring the news and social media hysteria as much as possible too. We're extremely hygienic, always have a small stockpile of tinned food/toiletries/cleaning products stowed, and are quite antisocial, so there's nothing more to be done our end really!

I've never been much of an ebayer - too much effort for my liking, so instead stuff has been "stored" (hoarded) in the loft and garage...

When decluttering we've been quite ruthless, I'd say about 95% of what needs to leave the house has gone (either via the tip or as charity donations) within 24 hours of being identified as surplus to requirements. The 5% that remains, I'll try ebaying this weekend (£1 max selling fee offer), but having said that, anything that can be sold quickly (but for a smaller amount) will go via trade-in shops. Any item or bundle that doesn't sell first time on ebay, provided not worth more than say £5 (which leaves only three or four £50-£200 items), will be donated.

I like to be careful with the finances, but right now I feel it's quite important to capitalise on the momentum we have built up and totally declutter the house one way or another!

Thanks SJ - that is exactly what I have been doing for a while - just shoveling things from one room to another.
Have managed to gather a few items into bags, and sorry to hear your workplace could be in trouble in such a short space of time - I'm sure I read somewhere that they promised that companies would not go under in our current climate.
I can't help thinking - "Bring back the retirement age to 60" - that way, there will be vacancies for the employees of companies folding and lost their jobs.

Hi SSS,  I'm afraid - all the hype can no longer be ignored, whereas I would take the figures being published with " a pinch of salt"  Not sure how many times I have made a hasty decision and thrown something out, only to find I need it the following day - maybe that's what makes me hoard for a while.

Have probably had my last public gathering out today, as today was my work colleagues husbands funeral today, and met up with some of my work colleagues I used to work with and no longer see due to working pattern/shifts.  As I am on a/l atm - they have updated me, and say things are now changing fast, very fast - daily.  I do feel this is the right time to be on a/l, although according to some - we are in for the long haul, and will be nowhere near back to  "normal" in the foreseeable future.
Big birthday celebrations cancelled and even worse one of the girls daughters catering has cancelled for her wedding, so the whole wedding may be postponed, but as always health comes before anything, no health, no life, every day I am now thinking - "What a difference a day makes"

Said to my mum - stay in from now (last night) - only to receive a call this morning to say - she popped down to Mr M0rrisons for a few items.  Grrrr.
