  • I see now, its so small, won't tell you what I thought you meant. Higher tax bracket, in my dreams !!! I'm sure I'm the only one on here in the lower, according to the massive o/p's MFW's make.  I take it your mum surrendered her chromebook  :) that is great news.
I collected my curtains yesterday, seems the shop checked when they were sold, then checked their camera's, and they saw someone go into the "reserves" for customers and whipped off my name on my curtains !!! so they sourced another pair from another store.  However after all the drama, I'm now not sure if they are a match for my furnishings,  :(
They are just OK, I mentioned to my mum - its a lot of money, and she said its only a lot of money "as when was the last time you bought a pair of curtains" and 6 matching cushion covers !!!  haha,  I suppose she's right as I always made my curtains, etc.  :) something to be said for that, as I always got the right size (the length is in the middle of bought curtains).
Meanwhile I'll be busy with my new steam cleaner I bought, not sure if I mentioned that.
Got a text from friend at work, seems there is more drama there, oh, how I miss that  :# haha
Rain is battering down here, and we await Storm Dennis.
    Happy Valentines Day 💘

I have also never earnt in the higher tax bracket so thats at least two of us!
My mum hadn't really ever used the tablet, I also bought her and dad new fire tablets for their anniversary and mum prefers those. Terrible about the curtains! What a cheek! I did not know about your steam cleaner. My mum has one and loves it. Good to know you are out of the drama at work.
A friend and former colleague texted me the other day asking how I was and telling me they were exhausted. I said I was great thanks 🙂
No rain here yet. Off out for valentine's Day tonight. Then battening down the hatches for tomorrow as plenty of food and drink in, and nowhere to go.

Stay safe and have a lovely weekend

    Bexster 🙂

  • Its true what they say . . . if you don't like the weather - wait a minute . . .
It's predicted snow here and gritters were out last night, however, its beautiful sunshine here, put washing on, in the hope I will get it out on the line.  Then proceeded to clean windows, got 2 done of my bay window turned round and its . . .
snowing, so stopped cleaning, then went on to have a break and kept having to move as sun straight in window blinding me, look out window and its . . . raining but beautiful sunshine, are we the only place that needs sunglasses and a brolly?

Clearing out not going so well this week, busy with other things, going into work again tomorrow as another one of the girls is leaving to go to another site, so using some of my very cheap @nchor butter that I got for 5p a pkt to make a dumpling for her leaving tea and Friday taking one of the girls to the cheap food shop until her card comes through.

Nearly ready for decorating, but weather was so wet on Friday that water was coming through at the chimney, where I was about to paper !!! so here we go again, reported fault, and its a fortnight before they can come out and look? repair? I could have paid extra for an emergency repair which meant they would come out and put a tarpaulin in my loft, I asked where the water went, then, - in the tarpaulin they said !!!.  A bucket will do.

They have a new computer system in work, and didn't think to tell me, so there I was fumbling about, trying to link to this and that. Couldn't find half my icons and folders. So email went off, just stating that it would have been nice to know (tongue in cheek).

  • Well although we had a little tiny bit of snow, it's another beautiful morning, lets hope it stays that way as I'm about to step out the door.  Need to go to PO then buy a card for friend who is moving, then onto work - where I'm meeting another co-worker who has now retired, may move on for something to eat and a natter after that.
Got paid today, thank heavens, as it was another long month due to the fact we got paid early in Jan, because we got paid early in Dec !!! This time amount was roughly what I expected, so need to adjust pots as have not done that yet - and I wonder where all the ££'s are going !!!
Last month before big savings the following month, as need to change tv, etc package, and look for new mobile deal, along with no (to speak of) travelling expenses and then there's the council tax (insert embarrassed emoji here) - I will get that sorted out this time round.
Have no interest in eb@y just now, but have a few bags full to list, not sure why, maybe as it's slow at the moment.
    Have a great day all.

Just saved £3 a month on my mobile, with more mind and data. Also saved £13 a month on broadband and landline and a faster actual speed ( not the speed they claim in ads)!
Will be energy bill in may

    Bexster 🙂
  • That's great savings.
What do you do for tv ? interested in options as I'm probably on the highest ever as out of deal. (red faced)
Mobile I need to keep the same as when going to caravan - they have limited coverage with the surrounding hills.
    Energy ok for now.

I tend to haggle with Virgin when I work up the energy, usually takes a year or two.
  • Will have a look at virgin, have actually just installed in the area, so may have a special offer on.
Typically, got caught in a snow, sleet, hailstone shower leaving work today which was earlier than usual as my late/early days changed to early/late days.
Today was my original goal date to be MF, and somehow, although MF a while ago now, it still felt "special" somehow  <3
8 years when I got my keys and mortgage.
another 3 days work in next 8 days then off for 26 days  o:) had talked about a far flung holiday, but looks like
"Hame i'll dae me" for now.
