  • Great bargain - shame about the cancelled item, however it was not to be.

Know what you mean by mulling things over, sometimes it just takes a moment to
tell yourself off :naughty: and get on with it, nobody else is going to do it for you. :)

Ashamed :o to say I am still mulling over whether I go into work tomorrow or not,
was meant to be going in today just for a few hours but have decided - I'm not.
At least it wasn't really to work but just to get the gist/info on things, which I can
    do next weekend.

Lovely sunny morning here, but can see a touch of frost on the cars.

Have a great day and best of Luck with your blogging :j

    Good Morning all,

Well I went into work Monday and so glad I did, as I received very good news :j

Seems they were not expecting me in work this week coming :D so I said I would
go in next Friday as they were short, and they gave me yesterday off in exchange :T

I am now officially a part timer

One day off and I feel that it was a week :p I got so much done and took my time
doing it. Kitchen cleaned, floor done :) Bedroom drawers and wardrobe decluttered,
that includes, bags, shoes, brollys (had 6 of them !!! well with our weather !!!)
I just need to persuade someone to go to a boot sale with my treasures now.
Windows cleaned (got a new V@x window cleaner given to me), wow was I impressed.

Bathroom all cleaned and sparkling :) saw some new towels which I would like, do I need
them, no - :( - I have 3 sets brand new, but I would like a change in colour and these are really lovely. Will mull it over

Have a ton of thoughts in my mind as what I am now going to do with all my spare  time,
and although I know this enthusiasm will not last, I am enjoying it while I can :D

So I have to say a massive big Thank You to Bexster :happyhear who planted the seed and encouraged
me to think about part-time hours, so I could start the new chapter in my life, never thought it would be possible :happyhear
So a Big Thank You Bexster :T :A  :D

Sorry, AFK, I missed your post last sunday.
    :beer:hurrah for part time!

I am delighted for you! It has been a very long time coming. You are very welcome, though I think the credit lies firmly with you. :T

You may be surprised how long the momentum lasts. When you can do as much as you like, there is no hurry. I love having my place clean and tidy and all the washing done before the weekend. So this morning so far I have finished reading an ebook ( library, so free) and started a new one! Beyond that I've had breakfast and a shower.

I have lazy days / half days but they get boring so I want to do stuff. Stuff on the house/ going out for walks/ coffee with friends/ decluttering/ work development etc.

I can spend weekends with my OH when he's not at work ( he has a " normal" job) and not worry about what I'm not doing. I look forward to hearing all the great things you do ( and all the great hours you waste away!!) in the coming months. Have a fabulous week off xx

    P.S buy the damn towels....
    Bexster :)

  • Bexster - have a ton of "things" I would like to buy, but had a good chuckle with your commentwith my towels. I suppose I am just used to "liking" things but not allowing myself to buy them,
    during my MF journey.
    Times are changing . . . :j

Thank you ElmoR, I have waited for this for which seems a very long time, but is here now :)

Sunny day here but cold, and am ready to go shopping. Enjoy your weekend.

Peeing down here. OH wants to go to lunch and charity shop shopping ( I think I have converted him!)

I may suggest tomorrow. See if you can get a deal on the towels ( or cashback) but if you love them, and they are not very pricey, go for it

Enjoy your shop. Sunshine forecast here tomorrow

    Bexster :)

I love charity shop looking, got my best buy ever in a CS once and am still using it now.

Would have cost over £200+ in the shop but because it didn't come in its box, it was a steal
at £20 but still in the wrapper :money:

Frosty this morning but still lovely and sun beating through the window with hardly a cloud to be seen.

My bedroom is [STRIKE] now[/STRIKE] almost completely free of clutter, forgot about a couple of boxes under my bed. Won't take long to do that, think its just a couple of jigsaws and puzzles.

Enjoying my 1st day of freedom and its all part of my new part time working week.
I think it has just suddenly dawned on me - what this means, I waited so long for it,
reality will hit when I actually have to go to work :rotfl:

All you part timers / short working weekers and a/l days off - enjoy !!!

ps Forgot to say, bought a couple of jumpers, handbag, christmas present and a t-shirt
    when shopping :o - no towels - yet ;)

    Good morning

I'm delighted to see a late post this am. Didn't find much in the charity shops. Did get a silk/cotton mix shirt for £4 and a new long sleeved top in cotton and modal for £2.99. Had a lovely breakfast though, then a walk around the market. Popped over to other nearby town for charity shop mooch too. I'm working for a few hours this afternoon but it has been cold but beautiful here this morning. Will be finished at a reasonable hour this evening, in time for home made soup with homemade cheese and bacon croutons. At least I didn't have to scrape the car this morning, with not needing it until after 1 pm!

Good luck with the decluttering, I've had a slow morning with a bit of tidying up and reading. Am hoping for two days off at the end of this week ( not including the weekend :D)

    Have a fab day AFK!

    Bexster :)
  • Was still up at around the same time as if I was going in to work, so was stopping for a t-break,some things wont change :rotfl:

Turns out only 4 jigsaws, but 1 not used and is a limited edition still in cellophane (wonder if it's worth anything . . .) :D

You got some great buys at your CS, I'm more into the furniture etc, etc. Got a lovely "N3xt"
mirror, cathedral style for a £5, once. Gave it to DB for above his fireplace which just finished it off.
However once he decided to put his large tv on the wall, I said I'll take it back (had moved house, by
then) No fears, it was going in his porch/entrance hall :(

Bought ingredients for HM soup and got another fantastic bargain at Mr M's - they have their
Salmon cut on special just now - most delicious cut of meat ever, with no fat/waste :j

Ha ha, very funny - not including the weekend :rotfl::rotfl:

Next room - spare room  but delaying as its at the back of the house (which means - no sun):(
Off to start - next room.

    Have a great afternoon/night.

  • Hooray for part time working :j:j:j

I'm off this week so need to try and stay out of the shops. I'm constantly resisting the urge to spend money on new towels. I have about 4 different sets already
