Thanks bexster.

Ever felt everything plods along nicely for a good while, then the sh** hits the fan, and doesn't stop?
It will pass.

Went shopping after work tonight, spends were £20.13. Happy with that for now.

The thunder & lightening didnt arrive but from the stories I heard today, it was all around.
One person sitting watching tv when the power failed, he heard loud knocking on his door, to be told his whole roof was on fire, it had been hit by lightening.

Good news is I put in for a few long weekends and got them all. Wonders will never cease AND we have been promised a 3% pay rise and it will be in our pay by the end of this month :rotfl:

I have indeed had the " it never rains but it pours" experience a few times. I'm glad you got your long weekends booked. Just have to decide what RELAXING things you will do with them :D

I hope bad things all pass quickly

It usually passes, although at the time you never know what the outcome will be.

Long weekends planned for caravan - events held most weekends and these are the ones Im interested in, so will be very relaxing, although :o might need a spring clean and a wash. Decking already painted gratis of DB.

Oh, the very thought - peace and quiet, no work, relaxing, maybe even read a book and take in the view, perfect. You have got me looking forward to it now, and you know what that means, my plans are always changed for me.

Did you have a nice birthday and have you had your 1st break yet?

Hello

Glad you are now looking forward to breaks! Had a fab birthday thanks. No breaks for me yet. Exam teaching finishes this weekend and marking starts next weds!

No rest for the wicked. Only about 4 weeks now until all done. Another week after that and I'm free all summer!!

I got very into audiobooks, which I never thought I would. I also found there are loads to borrow online via the local library. I had no idea when I got my library card ( old one lost years ago!) but it's been great. I hardly buy a book at all now

Bexster - lucky you, not long now and you will have loads of time off. Been flying recently? Hope your decorating is nearly complete and you are happy with it all.

Been a busy me these last 10 days - doing what - I've no idea

Surveys completed, batch cooking done, bedroom 2 - spick & span - just don't open the wardrobe doors :o - will get to that, later.

Onto bedroom 1 - mine, mostly done - just 1 shelf with bedding, so once drawers that hold my hand/bath towels get a good MK there will be room for my bedding :) that's the plan - anyway,

SJ - . . . . . i'm just curious as to why you would hoover the button and not just press it ;)

Button pressed :p - again :j, eek - not supposed to be doing that, but will save me another few £'s each month - it all helps :D will I regret it ?? - time will tell

Just 1 more week and I'll see if we get what was promised - our 3% rise in our pay by the end of June, not only that but backdated too :rotfl: - note the scepticism.

And Happy News . . . I have another 000.00 at the end of my mortgage :j

Was out nearly all day yesterday, so up with the larks this morning to get ahead of myself since it's a lovely sunny morning.

The usual, bed changed, washing on, windows - I'm trying to ignore :o ironing done :j just need to put it all away now. Then it will be onto cutting the grass (can't start that too early on a Sunday morning - neighbours to think about) :rotfl:

Been doing some number crunching - again. Looking good, but I'm so impatient, now I feel I'm on the home run - it's not coming quick enough. I'm known for my patience but not this. I want to pluck the remainder left out of thin air and be done with it. :rotfl: Doesn't everyone - I hear you say :D

I have more than enough batch meals frozen to last me until the payday after next weeks :) and a lovely fruit bowel full of delicious fruits. Lunches will be home made salads which I also love, and have bought more C@pri suns to pack lunches as there is a "thing" going on with the water in work atm:eek:

Clearing out started but a long way to go yet, but am determined this time :)

And finally - revealing bit of gossip at work  (need to check out details) but if true, has got me very excited :dance::dance: for the future. Just not quite ready for it atm - but once mortgage paid, will be all over it :D

Let the countdown begin . . . . :D
