It's 8.46pm and 27 degrees - lovely and tomorrow they say will hit 32 degrees. Wow.

However work beckons, so sadly won't see or feel too much of the sun/heat.

I have in my hand my payslip, same old, same old, not a hint of any extra. Seems although,
payrise announced, details still to be ironed out. Imagine that.

Have been slightly neglectful in keeping account of all details regarding shuffling,
switching and paying, so a job for tonight is to catch up with it all, as would be nice to know
just exactly where I stand. (Don't want to hear - on your own 2 feet ) :rotfl:

Schools are finished here, which means bus timetables altered, in fact heard today that some
buses were off, and trains cancelled due to the heat

    Enjoy.

Very warm down here too. Sorry you are still not being paid the extra yet. What a pain! Hope you can do something lovely after work. The sun will almost certainly still be out.

I'm off to work on the balcony whilst it's cool still ( relatively!)

Just got logged on (eventually) to mortgage, (after a few calls, seems someone tried to access my account ) the person on the other end of the phone asked if there was anything else they could do for me today . . . I replied - "you could put my mortgage balance to zero for me" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
and although they cannot subtract any payments at the weekend (my pet hate), they can add my interest no bother at all.

Just missed the teens by 36p, so £20.35 duly o/p. Will work out total and o/p down to the nearest 00.00 next :D.

Daily interest was 95p this time last year, it now stands at 68p so on that note, I feel very disappointed, it's not went down by very much, has it? :( Ah, just remembered my interest rate has doubled since then, that will explain it, for a minute thought I must have made an error in calculations, who me ??:D

During my cleaning spree, found an uncashed cheque :o for £11 odds, so once paid in, will be going straight to o/p.

Everything else ticking along nicely and can hardly contain my excitement when I look at my mortgage balance now, so near yet so far :dance::dance:

Omg !! panic, then calmed down and now just puzzled.
Logged on (yes, again) to my mortgage statement, and there it was - a balance movement  wt* Saw my sub account 1st where it had been added on to (0% interest), 1st thought it must be a penalty, but then noticed it had been taken off my mortgage balance that gathers 3.99% :(

Someone is tampering with my mortgage balance   then dawned on me - the right way :j
same balance just not being charged as much interest :rotfl:

Never heard of this, can anyone enlighten me? before I phone them (not till 9.00am) and make a complete fool of myself :o

Eta - there is also a £20 redress - has been taken off my mortgage, but I didn't o/p that amount

Well, no further forward really, went into bank and they said a Redress is where the bank/mortgage pay compensation to a complaint received and that they have heard of "mortgage movement" but couldn't say what it is until they phoned the mortgage supplier.

It's all to my good, so part of me says "leave alone" but curious side of me says "investigate"

They may take the £20 back or if they have made a mistake I could be complaining more, I can only think as I mentioned a good few months ago that my 2 accounts don't add up to my Mortgage Balance, and I did mention this to the person I spoke to yesterday, who was in fact the Manager, and she said they should tally up.

I don't find back staff desperately knowledgable to be honest. I remember years ago going into the building society with my dad. Every time the mortgage interest rate went down, his monthly payment went up. He got sick of it so made an appointment with a " mortgage advisor" to find out why.

All she said was the calculation assumed you wouldn't pay the next months payment ( my parents never missed a mortgage repayment) so monthly payment was more!

To top it off, she said they only had 18 months left on the mortgage. Knowing they had another five years I asked for that in writing, at which point she looked and thought again, and changed her mind :rotfl:

You couldn't make it up. I'd love to know the qualifications needed to be a bank manager or mortgage advisor.

Have a good day, stop mithering the mortgage :D

I have found the very same with Bank staff - either lack of knowledge or clever with their knowledge, somehow I think it's the first.

Somehow, I thnk we would never make mortgage advisor's - we share far too many tricks ;) although expert enough. :rotfl:

It was a local holiday here today, but as usual - I was working with no extra pay :(

This may be of interest to everyone been/with Halifax :D;):p

ps As for mithering - remember - I am still a "Wanabee" :p

Ooooh, I nearly read that as bowel movement :rotfl:

Mithering the mortgage won't get it paid off :p:p

Sorry you were in work for no extra pay. How's that side hustle going? Almost enough to quit work?
