  • Yeah, bit of a money pit, especially when starting out, but my biggest challenge was deciding what kind/shape/colour or design and where i was putting it, once decided everything was ok:), but could've taken me ages just to decide:o. As i said before a bit of a ditherer, can't see you being like that.

  • Going through some paperwork and found an old bank account book,:D then minutes later remembered I had already cashed it in:(, It was for a BS that had another take it over. Moving on swiftly .... I also dug out my paperwork for some shares I have and found some old cheques that I hadn't cashed:o:eek: as it was at the time I was moving house. So today have written to the 3 companies informing them of new address and returned the cheques, lets see what they come back with.

Tomorrow is payday, so will o/p my target of £250 which will just about be do-able. Although with my o/p last month - I'm now 3 months ahead of my target, I think, .... away to play with the calculator, again.

  • Oh, Oh, just checked and found that if I want to clear by a certain birthday then its 4 years 5 months, and not 5 years, its still 2020 but Feb/March not Sept/Oct, how depressing, In Aug this year took a new deal for 8 years, which started Sept and immediately made my target 5 years (in my head), now i'm pushing it again, by making it 4 years 5 months.
    Lets see what happens.

Does that mean you forgot when your birthday was?:rotfl:
    Mortgage Oct '20: £615k
    Mortgage Feb '24: 590k
    Debt Feb'24: £35,501.54
  • I've got my target date, and really happy with it.

Thinking about it, my mortgage started on 29.2.12, so as 2020 is also a leap year. I'm going for 29.2.2020. That's it, finally (for the moment), great to have an actual date to aim for, rather than just a year.
