  • Well here we are again. Have been neglecting my diary and MFW friends of late :o So busy just now, doing something and thinking of the next thing to do.

So as usual washing done, hung up and another on.
Bed changed - feel so tired, can't wait to get in it, looks so inviting
especially as bedroom all neat and tidy, all clothes hung up, carpet hoovered and room dusted.
Can't say the same about the other rooms though, but it's a work-in-progress. Pulled out items for photo/listing on the Bay, long laborious task, but the rewards are very welcome :) Nothing comes easy, especially for me, being born on a Saturday :rotfl: (Works hard for a living :rotfl: and all that).

Got my BTee reward card, so £50 on a card to spend, and rewards from utility suppliers also arrived, another £20 in vouchers, completed another p'cone survey and am hoping they will send me the item to try. Need to do a few more surveys, around £3 short to claim £80, so will need to start completing them again. Other than that, I get paid this Thursday coming and have still managed with what I had left in my purse from last month.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying the lovely sunny weekend.

Perhaps, jodles16, they gave quote, started work either 3 but I think its 4 weeks ago now, and keep coming back saying, we'll order the materials, now, week later, materials didn't arrive, week later, they didn't order enough, and so it goes on. Last week, they worked on it for 45 mins, that's for the WHOLE week !!!

Strangly enough, I'm feeling the same about X word, feeling a but blah about spending too. Feels a bit "Scrooge (ie)" :o :rotfl:though. I said on here I would be finished my X shopping by the end of the month, now, I thinking, I may just wait till the sales :o but . . . probably not.

  • And . . . I'm back :o Just needed a little break from it all.

Overtime, starting early, finishing late, training, being trained, working over the holiday period, moneysaving, accounts, ebaying, posting - and Christmas on top - just all got too much.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and looking forward to the New Year. One week today I should be able to make a nice little overpayment to my mortgage, as I have been restricted since August I had to amuse myself by rounding down the balance, which seemed to work.

Still been quietly saving in my own way, applied for a c/c  shock, horror, had one before, but never used it, but I actually use this one, in the store it came from, hope to get the bonus around end of Jan. Been waiting on some c/back since beg Oct - such a long time - confirmed but not yet available, have to keep watching this.

Roll on a week today :D and just incase I don't manage back,

Wish everyone a Happy, Healthy and Mortgage busting New Year.

Hello AFK! I thought I had gone AWOL then find it was you! 😉

Glad all goes well with you. I trust you had a good Christmas. We need to declare our number if NSDs for the year in the next few days.

All is good here. Not a NSD today as if out to collect a couple of online sales purchases ( ahem!) and meet a friend for lunch. We will need to think up some new challenges for 2017.

Have a great NY if you are not around again before.

    Bexster :)
  • Indeed, I was "lost" for a while, gradually making my comeback, but as of 16.00pm today I am officially on leave till the 11th January :j Whoopie Doo :D :dance::dance:

I have a huge list of "to do's" and one of them is certainly to think up some more/different challenges for 2017, but will take my time and think things through.

    Thanks, AFK. :)

:rotfl: Re. the savings. I need a new target for 2017, so I suppose I ought to find the £210 to make 2016 a £10,000 total. :) I quite seriously don't know where from though. :o
