    Thanks, AFK. :)

:rotfl: Re. the savings. I need a new target for 2017, so I suppose I ought to find the £210 to make 2016 a £10,000 total. :) I quite seriously don't know where from though. :o

 £210  I just meant the £10 ;) obviously the £210 would be nice, but you have 1 day 12mins to go :D then can start a new target.

Yes, you made me do it. :rotfl: First time I've put any amount of money away in a while, thanks. :)

... You are also the reason I am going to have to borrow one of my parents' cars over the next week or so to avoid spending the extra £10 on fuel. :o:o:o
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

Talk about a back handed compliment. You will NOT be borrowing your parents car(s) as there is 1 day (24 hours) to go and we will all be into the New Year and that means you will be saving on drink, biscuits, cakes and chocolate(s) so no doubt that £10 will be saved on the 1st day of New Year !!! :p :rotfl:

Well done, I am not so fidgety now and have a big grin on my face, right now. Thank you.

Happy New Year Everyone, hope you all had a lovely time.

Time to make new targets, challenges and maybe even a change of direction. Feeling slightly "lost" as target allowed this year, doesn't seem like a challenge, going by last year's result. However have started by making my o/p target with the 10% allowed. Re-mortgaging due in Oct and if staying with same mortgage provider will be allowed to change 3 months earlier.

Thinking has totally frazzelled (? is this a word) me out meaning I'm finding it difficult to decide on targets and plans.

    I do know, I want to;
    • MK - get this place in shape, and not rotate "items" as I usually do
    • Get listing in the Bay - goes along with MK above
    • Get Baking - I used to bake a lot, so time to get back to it
    • Meal plan - done some batch cooking, so this time plan along with it
    • Do some regular o/t**
Looking forward to seeing my mortgage balance today once my payment comes off, only then will I decide on my o/p. Toying with the idea of emptying (almost) my e/f once again, then building it up, when I'm not allowed to o/p any more, done that last year (well 2015) just before the NY so I could take advantage of my o/p allowance that year (as they say, if you don't use it, you lose it) ans was very, very glad I did.

Missed you all, especially "friends" no longer posting/haven't posted in a long while-Lucky in Life :happyhear, Ali OK:happyhear , Sue - Spreadsheet diva :EasterBun - hope you are all OK and would be lovely to "hear" how you are all doing :happyhear

Special Thanks to the many others (too many to mention, but you know who you are :T) who have inspired/contributed/advised me/kept me on the right road in my journey.:grinheart

Original mortgage due to finish Feb 2030, made my target Feb 2020 when starting this diary and reduced to Dec 2019 (thanks to Bexster) which now we are in 2017 seems - scary scary to me _pale_

Sorry such a long post, of waffle, but have been away for a while and need to get back on track. :)

OK, 1st o/p made £537.10 making sub account balance £23,000.00

Not sure what's wrong with me, I have just over £1,000 built up to o/p and when totting up my cash available have never included this account, as in, what I never had, I'll never miss. So why am I not o/p ing it all?

hello AFK and Happy New Year to you too!

Why not indeed in answer to the question in your last post.

I would like to declare 210 NSDs for 2016. :T

There are some developing new targets for this year ( not really mortgage related as that's effectively done). Bit of a spendy day today as have had to get a leak in the bathroom sorted. In better news I've also had the sink tap and waste replaced, and am getting the bath taps replaced in a few weeks. After that it's a new shower and the the cast iron bath re enamelling. Finally, underfloor heating and floor tiling by the summer and that's the bathroom done. Was planning a full re-fit but cost was prohibitive and bath a nightmare to remove ( plus fab, it will never die!).

Hope for less spendy couple of days before return to work Monday.

    Bexster :)
  • Still a bit behind with the diaries/figures/updates and stats :o. Will get there eventually.

Today I'm going shopping:D, armed with a list:rotfl: , so will be first spendy day this year:eek:. NSD's so far this year 5/6:j

  • I'm behind on my diary reading too. December sped by.
good luck with your New Year plans.

I'm aiming to sort out here. I may have given up the ebay lark and given it all to the CS. I recon the £50 or so I would have been lucky to get makes me happy to donate.

Still a bit behind, but keeping really busy. And back at work tomorrow, how on earth will I fit it all in.

Have a load listed on the bay and so 4 parcels will be posted off tomorrow, weather permitting. Nearly went out today to buy some winter snow boots since I've heard its on its way. However after thinking about it, I have not 1, 2 or even 3 pairs in the wardrobe but 4 pairs.

This gave me a wake up call and so started me on my next crusade ~ MK'd, (in other words) getting rid of clutter.
So today was spent in my bedroom. All make-up and each item of clothing gone through, still need to do, my coats/jackets, shoes and bags ~ well think bags might be at a later stage as have so many, don't know what to do with them all.
Good outcome as I found over £50 in a drawer, all new £5's I was getting in my change around xmas time, and was scared to spend them incase they were worth a whole lot more.Still to go through the coinage that I put in a dish ~ for the same reason, new coins, odd 50p's ~ kept them all.

Trouble is ~ I'll probably keep them all, so no o/p gain there. Also found 3 lotto tickets I bought at work just before xmas as extra's. Off to check them now . . . . . .

ETA - Won a Lucky Dip on 1 of my tickets ~ so another chance at winning the biggie :)

  • Been around and about causing havoc on other Diaries :o :rotfl:

Finances going well, spent less than £30 on food shopping so far this month and a week tomorrow is pay-day again with some o/t in there.

Listing like mad on ebay clearing all my [STRIKE]clutter [/STRIKE] treasures, taking a lot of my time.
but worth it, as another £261.67 o/p today.
