    **CONCENTRIX OUTCOME**

"We've completed our check on your tax credits awared for the year ending 5 April 2016 - we don't need to change your award.

Than you for the information you provided during our check on your tax credits award. We have reviewed this information and decided we don't need to amend your award"

Followed by loads of text about if you need to contact them etc...

My advice - send them as much info as possible with as much people backing you up as possible.
  • I received a compliance letter in November. I was requested to send originals of bank statements (2 current accounts, 5 savings accounts and an Investment ISA), contracts of employment, a lot of childcare information, birth certificate for one of my children, mortgage statement, all utility bills, council tax information, all loan and credit card information, bank statements for my children (2 children), pension information, payments made to charity the list went on and on. It felt rather excessive to me.

I sent all of the information by recorded delivery at the beginning of December - it cost about £11. 3 days later I received all of the documents back. About a week later I received a phone call where I was required to clarify a couple of things then a couple of days later I received a letter stating everything was fine and they would not be making any changes to my claim.

Although I had done nothing wrong I felt that I was suspected of fraud and this made me doubt myself.
  • Had my letter back today. They have changed their decision and have disallowed my working tax credits.

The reason was my business is not viable and not enough evidence.

I'm worried sick now I'm going to get a massive overpayment since 2012. What will happen. ?

I intend the appeal with all my evidence. I have a licence from the council to let me trade. I have fuel receipts. Insurance for business. Public liability. Stock receipts.
I only sent receipts as that's what they asked for for the 3 months ending 31st December

If you ring the number on the letter, they should be able to tell you if it has just been stopped as of the date of the letter, or if they consider there's an overpayment.

The thing you have to remember with CONCENTRIX is they are a FOR-PROFIT, tasked with reducing the cost to the tax payer of welfare costs. So even if you pay a large amount of VAT each year running your own business, that means nothing to Concentrix or our government. You still face the possibility of losing your business for the slightest error, when Concentrix are sniffing about. This keeps George Osborne's "tax payer" friends at Google, Amazon, Starbucks,Walmart (ASDA) and other Cayman Islanders happy, because they don't like tax....unless it's you paying them of course.

I've read some of your other posts. You really need to take a few deep breaths and understand that the problems you have with debt are of your own making.

Stepchange are not collecting on behalf of the banks.
They are not in collusion with the banks.

If a business owes VAT it's because they've collected that VAT from whomever they've provided services/goods to.

What would you class as "large amounts of VAT"?

How many people claiming tax credits do you believe pay these large amounts of VAT?

Given the companies you have mentioned don't claim tax credits, what relevance does that have to this thread?
