Hopefully there will be, GG. Fingers crossed.

I spoke to the normal TC line in weds and I had such an amazing, helpful lady on the phone. She said it's nearly completed and won't be much longer and my payments will be pretty much the sane. A provisional award has been put on the system, just waiting for it to be finalised.

She did say it had been checked and now those checks were done it's pretty much completed, just waiting for the new award to be finalised.

What I don't understand is, if TC have checked and verified my information such as childcare, why can't they share this information with concentrix to save 2 diff companies doing the same job?
  • I think I'm in big trouble with them. I have physical and mental ill health and last Year we decided to move in with my kids dad. It was to happen in April, but I was not well enough and postponed until I felt better. We did stay the occasional night though. We finally moved in August and I wrote to HMRC (it was impossible to get thru on phones) and advised them of all the changes. We would no longer be entitled to a claim as using their tax calculator to check we were above the threshold. Jump forward to May and I received a letter from HMRC at my old address ( my parents home) telling me I hadn't returned my renewals pack. (I havent received a renewal pack as yet) I returned the letter to them with an explanatory letter that I'd written to them in August to confirm my change in circumstances. A few days later the letter from concentrix has arrived. I have spent the last week with the crisis mental health home response team. I have an anxiety disorder, clinical depression and inflammatory arthritis, hypertension too! I have a very bad feeling that I'm going to be in a lot of trouble with them.
  • Try not to worry did your payments stop in August when you updated claim?

If he payments stopped them nothing to worry about! Have you had a letter from concentrix ? what dates are they investigating ?
  • If you've had money since August you will probably have to pay it back over a few years they will let you make small payments if it causes you financial hardship!
  • Im not good at checking my bank statements but after looking at them there is an amount weekly which is lodged, but my name is beside it. I can only assume its tax credits. I kniw there is an overpayment and to be honest id rather just pay it back and be done with. My cb and pay are the only other income i have.
  • Yeah got the letter. From april 14 - april 15. Its such a mess.
  • Concentrix confirmed my case closed letter on way in next 10 days.
Didn't say if they were changing anything or not.
Hmrc got through quite quick renewal not processed but will be by 22nd June even though I renewed online 27th April.

He said payments are provisional didn't say if they were changing anything but I know my childcare wasn't accurate still none the wiser if I will get overpayment or penalty! Just that can ring back nearer to 22nd June to check if finalised.

I asked if he has the info from concentrix about childcare and he said yes all on there!
  • Right I rang back
My case is closed, no changes as my childcare difference was £9 a week lower so they cannot amend my award cause its less than £10 difference.
Well I thought it was more than that tbh. Hoping now my finalised tax credit award will follow in the post. I have worked out I should be claiming £39 a week for childcare but they are basing it on £52 a week
So I have worried myself sick for 8 weeks!!
I still wont rest till I get my official letter and my finalised award!
I will keep updating and reading and helping

Then once the finalised award comes through I will ring and change it to £39 a week so next year I will be accurate!

    Just like mine then, Georgiasdragons.

Bizarre how the two are dealing with them separately isn't it?

I'm sure you would know, I would imagine if you had an overpayment etc the case would be open to allow appeals etc. I may be wrong. Who knows,

Let me know when your HMRC renewal is completed.
