What I don't understand is, if TC have checked and verified my information such as childcare, why can't they share this information with concentrix to save 2 diff companies doing the same job?

The Data Protection Act is the simple answer, so I have been told. How they get info on your claim in the first place is a moot point of course.

HMRC cannot share your info with any private company, especially an American one out to snaffle up British public sector jobs (with the blessing and connivance of our government) while gradually taking over the world at the same time although, to be honest, I don't think that last bit's part of the Act.

I sent all my documents off in April still not heard anything, everyone says no news is good but still worried.Dont want to ring incase it's something I don't want to hear
  • I sent my docs on the 6th of June and got them back this week. They said that they will write to me about my claim. What does that mean?
  • I had the same letter so I rang them and they told me over the phone there was no changes as my childcare difference was within the 10£ a week allowance.

Ring them ask for outcome over phone.
  • I received a letter from Concentrix back in June, asking for more information about my hours worked and self-employment. Sent them all the info they requested (including 22 pages of bank statements), recorded delivery, which they received on 11 June. Eventually received my documents back on 1 August. Received another letter today, asking for the same information  Letter dated 31st July, but received 7th August. Letter says I have until 14 August (so just 1 week) to send back the info or they will suspend my tax credits. Just contacted MP - hopefully, he can help :(

I've had the dreaded letter today.

Phoned Concentrix and the lady was helpful and apparently if I send info (i.e landlord letter) that the person I live with is a joint tenant, then it will be sorted.

She was nice, but i'm guessing it's not going to be that easy in reality.

I understand from a friend of mine who received one of these letters that Concentrix are the ones who gather all the information together but it is HMRC who make the final decision and not Concentric.
