I love sheds, HB! I think it's the fact that caravans should have wheels on but don't when they're static that freaks me out - that, and the cardboard walls. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the amount of living (as opposed to sleeping) space in the one we stayed in: it was remarkably comfortable, and (unlike the majority of vans on the site) it had a beautiful view of the sunny bay. In driving rain it might have been less attractive and I would have missed my sofa and snuggly blanket...
....which is where I think I'm going to end up this afternoon. Our garden does not need watering and our car does not need cleaning
I have put away almost all of yesterday's washing and made yummy leek and potato soup for lunch - every last bit of it has been scoffed

Hoovered downstairs
Tried to bleach stain out of school shirt cuff, no joy but it will do for this school year
Rain has stopped here but it is still very wet.
Going to dust the LR and then have a sit with a magazine and a cuppa for an hour as suffering wtih a lack of GUAG.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Tesco arrived and stuffed in various corners of the kitchen.. so much stuff.. a months worth of 'basics' in here is almost like a normal persons annual shop
Off to load the DW, load the WM and put away the cat food.. that should clear up some room.
I never did get in there to clear the work surface with Pixie clinging to my knees or neck or sitting on me..

Last report from me for today. Earlier I did some shredding and then it stopped raining, so I took the dogs for a walk before going to the village event which was lovely with a choir to listen to.
Back now so am just going to chill out with DH for the rest of the day.
See you all tomorrow.Spend less now, work less later.0 -
Ahhhh small ones are driving me mental, having to stay in all day is not fun!!!
I don't feel too good, Got an annoying chest sort of pain and sore ears, and just feel generally bleugh. Don't think I'll be late to bed, littlies won't be either. Just making a pasta bake thing, never made pasta bake, cooked some susages and some pasta and shoved them in the oven with some Covent garden soup and some chopped tomatoes?! Not sure what it will be like, but hey ho. Haven't achieved much, as, like you pigpen, I have had one or other child sat on me whinging for most of the day! Have made some muffins, but trashed the kitchen in the process. Need to finish my tosco order as just realised I have sausages in the freezer, but I need pull ups
whilst ive been typing this, the small ones have pulled all of their toys out!!!!! Grrrr 0 -

We do a 5 day list so the house is nice for the weekend so we can spend time with our loved ones and not have to think about the cleaning and stuff. Weekend is family time.. the list is the same every week for the weekend... go spend time with your friends and family!
I have 9 children at home, we play Xbox and watch DVD's and play in the garden and other stuff on a weekend.. we just go with it.. you don't need a list to tell you how to play with your offspring!
And many welcomes xxLB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
You will laugh when I tell you what me and Dh did this morning while the boys were out at collectomania we've made a fake person for DH to wrestle with (since the clubs closed he's missed his wrestling) we made it from plastic tubing with loads of padding in the form of pillows, cushions old clothes shin pads etc with headgear boxing gloves and trainers, all the joints are articulated, ie drilled and tied with string then hosepipe fed through to strengthen them. It looks scarily real when you go down the drive and see it slumped against the wall. Bonus it's got rid of 4stone in weight of stuff that was just clutter. Can't wait for one of the boys to go down the drive later and see it. LOL his name is Mark as in Mark 1 as we thought we'd have to have a few goes to get it right.
Picked the boys up from their drop off point and are watching a DVD now.SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all and hugs to all by the sound of it. I've been awol for a few days but it seems as if loads has happened. Healing thoughts for CY, Natty and various OHs, migraine sufferers and anyone I've forgotten.
Glad your new job started well Dusty.
To summarise my last few days (omitting lists as no point now):
* Fri eve/Sat/Sun with BIL and we made a big impact on the garden. By his own admission, he hasn't mowed the lawn, weeded, cut brambles or hedge - in fact pretty much anything for 10yrs.
*Sun/Mon/Tues with my mum. Went to hospital with her on Mon, saw cardiologist and happily she doesn't need an op. Just keep moving but don't overdo things, stay on bp tablets and avoid any extremes of temperature. Cue for her to launch into overdrive planning a holiday we can go on together. Went a bit pear-shaped with her enthusiasm as I've got a lot of other things that need sorting out but she wants it booked yesterday! Did a few things for her in house and garden.
*Wed had positive feedback from latest report, and nearly finished another. Tried to catch up on "stuff".
*Thurs had confirmation that I have been awarded the contract work I interviewed for. Quite pleased but it will be a lot of work; great to have financial predictability for 2yrs although still freelance (which is what I want) but it's more work than I would have preferred! Then went to Birmingham.
*Spent all yesterday at Gardener's World Live Exhibition. Didn't quite manage to spend all predicted new income on plants and accessories............
*Finished final report today. Mr N & I planned tomorrow's trip to London Open Garden Squares - anyone else going? We're going to do the Pimlico sort of area.
Next week's plan is just as manic; 4hrs teaching on Mon, go to France with my brother for 5 days on Wed.
Have done a few flying bits but seemingly mainly at other people's houses!Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.0 -
Hi all x
Back in from the paid stuff. It was empty so it was one boring shift.
DS2 is on his way back from A&E he has managed to burn his fingers on a generator at work and the first aiders sent him to hospital. So his hand has been dressed two of the fingers are quite bad so he needs to go back again on Tuesday.
I've decided I'm not doing any more flying today my nerves are shattered between OH, DS2 and DD with A&E and Drs trips. I'm going to chill with a movie or something.
I never did get in there to clear the work surface with Pixie clinging to my knees or neck or sitting on me..
Enjoy it while you can they just grow up too quickly. DD is 11 next week, not quite sure how that happened :eek:I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0
