And for me, it is working fine under the 'old look'.
I've not been using the 'new look' today, as (AFAIAC) it is never 'fine'.

Correct...that's exactly what I've done.

Just testing to see if this 'new look' will be any less dire than the 'old look' is today.

As of now the error "Your request timed out. Please retry the request. " is more common than not when trying to submit replies, being returned as a result within a fraction of a second. Second try always seems to work. Maybe a slightly lagging replication slave in the picture somewhere?

I'm finding the site really slow, with a lot of connection failures

Since yesterday evening , I've been getting the error message about 'request timed out. Please retry the request' everytime I attempt to post.





Edit. Yup! It happened then, too! Always ok at the second attempt.

I also found the forum very slow yesterday, with lots of failures. However, as I was also having trouble with email receipt and kept losing internet connection generally, I had put that down to the high winds interfering with the connection.
I use an iPad only.
'Request timed out' when I tried to post that edit!

Problems here. An "old look" user. If I do more than couple of lines I time out.

Had to submit reply twice for it to go up.

Yup, that's it.

I also sometimes get a little pop-up when I press a Thanks button. The pop -up disappears very quickly and the thanks is still activated though. This doesn't happen every time I thank.

Can't be bothered anymore. I've better things to do with my time than trying to use a site that just doesn't work.

Edit: Refresh button (or F5) ... and agreeing to retry... seems to allow post to be posted without the need to retype it
