    +1 for Free Bitdefender
I switched to BitDefender yesterday after reading rumrat`s post above.

AVG which i`ve used before was only ever a stop gap.

I wish I could say the same for AMD drivers though - W10 has nuked the HDMI on that machine and rolling back to the oldest driver on the disc seems to be the only option to resolve it - except that at the next update, it reinstalles the useless current driver - which eventually keels-over and the machine reverts to the basic Microsoft driver, with no HDMI. For now, I've swapped the AMD and the i5 over for workng with the HDMI monitor.

Welcome to AMD's lousy support, Nvidia give 10 years GPU driver support.

AMD haven't got tuppence so I suspect the driver support team now consists of some bloke they pulled out of retirement and a YTS (oldies here will know what I mean) apprentice.
Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.

There are boxes you can tick or untick as the case may be.

Back to previous OS (then try again):-

    1. Hold down the SHIFT key while clicking on RESTART from the power option on the bottom right corner of screen.

    2. Menus should pop up for System Restore options .... go to ADVANCED options.

    3. Go to SEE MORE RECOVERY OPTIONS until you see this and ONLY THIS: Restore Previous Build .... click on that.

    4. Make sure your device is plugged in and mine took over 3 hours...kept saying "RESTARTING" with the circle spinning dots.

    Check out Bitdefender free version......

I did check out the free version but it seems to be for windows 8.
    I don`t think it`s compatible with win 10.

Have you got a link for the version that is free and runs on win 10.
I`ve googled but can`t find one.

    Hello,

Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition is not compatible with Windows 10.

You will be able to install it but there will be side effects including but not limited to inaccurate detection, unwanted false alarms of legitimate apps that come with Windows 10, etc.

As the best protection for the new OS, we would recommend one of the Bitdefender 2015 classic line products: Antivirus Plus, Internet Security, Total Security

We do not offer technical support for Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition on Windows 10.

Panda is as good/better and compatible .

Still genuinely perplexed why peeps load Windows 10 with Russian-sourced, adware supported 'anti-virus' when there's perfectly decent AV, malware removal and web-site screening functionality from Microsoft built-in.

I suppose if you visit extreme pr0n and dodgy sites streaming F1 and Premier League matches, fair enough.
