    Hit my first snag with 10 today. Been using it for a week or so and was generally impressed. However, this morning the the calculator stopped working. In fact all the apps, mail etc, stopped working. They would pop up and crash. This included the app store.

    I spent three hours trying every trick on the internet to no avail. One suggestion was logging in as another user. Unfortunately, I could create another account either. No system restore points available so I have finally had to resort to resetting the pc and looking forward to the tedium of re-installing all my applications.

    The problem seems to be quite common with all sorts of weird and wonderful fixes reported but nothing that worked for me. I'm not impressed any more. Just glad I decided to play on a non-essential machine before upgrading the others.

    Anyone else found that their migration from Win 7 to Win 10 has freed up a shed load of HDD space? Before the migration I had about 150GB free space (on a 500GB drive); now I have about 195GB free space, yet have all the same applications and data files.

    Yes i noticed that too. However i am not really impressed that i seem to have three browsers. Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer and also Google Chrome. I only use Google Chrome.

    Yes - around 30GB. Useful, for me anyway, because that's about 1/4 the size of the SSD.

    Remove IE then and use Edge as your only backup browser.

    If you bank with First Direct and use their excellent Internet Banking Plus you'll find that it will only work on IE. It's non-functional on any other browser for technical reasons.

    Have you tried the likes of Opera set to identify as IE?
