Thanks for your help. Youve probably saved me a couple of hours.

RumRat ive just got to figure out how to open the one file i have stored in there. Paint wont open it and neither will Windows photo viewer....

Wont let me delete it either cause it says the file is in use.

I think that what JUDI meant was why does MS put so much effort in to trying to get us all to use ONEDRIVE ?
I tend to agree - it is up to us whether we choose to use it - it should not be assumed - that said, it has saved my bacon, through automatic back ups on more than one occasion !!

I located a programme on the web , and d/loaded and saved it "onedrive remover" , nice n simple "click" gone

Yes, i resent the assumption. I keep very little on my pc. There are no documents, pictures get put straight onto photobucket/google photos. I really have no need for OneDrive.

the file (after you download it) should be called onedrive uninstaller v0.4 , I have just tried to d/load it again (to compare) , after a few advert pages I got it , it is correct and functional

Thought Internet explorer was now Microsoft Edge. Havent played with that yet.
