Morning everyone. Paid stuff first then hospital this aft with DS for his regular treatment. Next door neighbour wants to come round with a form or something that she wants my opinion on. I said she can have a half hour slot between 2 and 2.30pm before we have to leave - I am soo busy this week!

The kitchen floor is filthy - I could go and give it a quick going over now if I move myself.

Ionafan my DS did some African drumming once as therapy to try and help him relax. It does look very enjoyable.

Right, laundry to put away, floor to wash, DS to drag out of bed, packed lunch to make, both of us to get fed, washed and dressed then out the door by 8.25.

    Have a good Tuesday x
  • Morning everyone.

Wow Iona the drumming sounds great - not sure if there would be local classes. I always preferred percussion to the dead cat violin I attempted to play whilst a teenager!

Up reasonably early - and need to get on - washing first. Have just balanced money and need to shop as we are just like Old Mother H in this house.

Will look at the lists and try and catch up this afternoon. SW first so hope it is not more than 5lb on!!!

    Have a great day.x

    Morning all x
I'm totally shattered this morning. Went to bed at 7pm, just got comfy and was nodding off when DDs books were delivered. Just got back into bed when the thunder started, cue DS2 thinking the roof is coming in, DD in my bed and the dog shivering at the side of the bed. So I need matchsticks today.

piggers so sorry to hear of such a young person passing away, I hope DD is ok xxx

    Level One.
Pick up 30 items and put them away.. it doesn't matter where you pick them up from or what you do with them so long as they are in their place, or the bin or the chazzer bag!
Wipe light blubs if you can reach.. no injuries!!.. if you can't wipe your knobs and handles
    Wipe over the surfaces
    Level Two
Get out that neglected toothbrush and attack those icky taps.. I want to see my spiders faces in them (kitchen roll left overnight soaked in white vinegar hung around them cleans off scale deposits... cling film keeps it in place)
Shine the sink and swish over those small appliances.. maybe descale the kettle.
Empty the cutlery drawer and clean the tray and get rid of the crumbs and put back only nice clean stuff.
    Level Three.
Wipe over the big appliances and unit doors
Wipe any icky marks off the walls, doors and anywhere else in here..

Extras, if you are a glutton for slaving away over a hot microfibre cloth.!!
    Wash out bins
    reshuffle cleaning supplies
    replace sponges/clothes if needed

...Next.. make another cuppa! Sit at the table and look about you.. again.. that one job you can see that you know will only take 2 minutes but you really don't want to do it.. go do it.. go on.. shoo!!!

    Good morning all.
I had to give up at the end of last week. We were dog sitting for my SIL and her dog was marking everywhere. We had to watch it with our youngest dog as she has never been great with other dogs and it spent the whole time trying to make babies, which she wasn't best pleased about. Good job shes been done, not to sure what pugadors would look like, lol.
Had my nephews to stop over the weekend and then my sister was here with them all day yesterday and last night we went to choose DD a dress as she is this years carnival queen, so today is a mega clean up day.

    So far...
Decluttered all 5 kids to school (that was a days work in itself as none of them wanted to go)
    loaded dishwasher twice
put a load of washing onto airer and another 2 waiting to go out/on airer
washed and cleared the sides in the kitchen. Think I must have removed my whole 30 items from there.
Had coffee while speaking to dh on the phone who took the car to the car doctors on his way to work so ended up at work early and was bored.
picked up all the train track covering the whole of the living room floor, i'll get shouted at when the kiddies get back and have to rebuild it.
    Fetched our runaway bins.

Going to finish coffee and do some more of the list. Need to sweep up all the way through downstairs too. I need a magic cleaning fairy!

In a grumpy mood today. I'm being ignored by a so-called friend and Mr O&O is acting like child because I don't agree with him over something so won't do it so now he's ignoring me :mad:
AF is here too so that's probably making matters worse :(
DD1's chameleon ate yesterday for the first time in about 4 weeks since she went to the vet :j Hopefully she's on the mend.
Done 3 loads of washing, some is on the airer some being tumbled. Unloaded and reloaded the DW.
I'm behind on the lists so only just doing the bathroom. I've cleaned most of it, I've left the toilet to marinade in h@rpic, will go back in a bit. I've still got the window, mirror, cat litter and floor left to do :o
Think I'm going to have some lunch then carry on

Hello everyone I've not said hello to!
Pigpen, sorry to hear of the sad news. They were so young. :(

So, this morning I decided today would be dedicated to cleaning...

I have: put the dishwasher onto a hotwas with some soda crystals in it to clean it.
Done the laundry (I've learnt how to use the delay start on the washing machine, so I put the washing in at night, delay the start till the morning, so I wake up to a wash mid cycle. It's like someone else does the laundry for me...and means I can hang it out before the school run!)
Cleaned the bathroom. Top to bottom, moving things and everything. I've chucked out a load of old cosmetics and empty bottles, and even cleaned the dusty pipes behind the loo! Once room DONE.
Just having some lunch and then onto the kitchen. It's 'fairly' tidy, I just need to wipe some of the tops down in there, and decant some spices into jars rather than their open bags. Shouldn't take TOO long. (famous last words).

Hope everyone isn't being blown away today, it's pretty windy here!

  • Afternoon all! Hope we're not too windswept out there! It's awful weather today, OH works up the motorway in Kendal and I'm a bit concerned about him driving back later :(

Willowpops, nice to meet a fellow occasional-lurker! Don't worry hun, no such thing as a perfect house. My mum says that a spotless house is the sign of a wasted life ;)

Piggers, well done on the major decluttering!! Putting us all to shame! So sorry to here about that person dying, so awful and so young.

Flying didn't really go to plan yesterday (the best laid plans and all that...) but hoping to get more on track this evening!

  • Hello, could I join in too please?

Have lurked for ages and do what I can when possible, but now the house is getting to be in some semblance of order, mainly thanks to Konmarie and decluttering threads which I also lurk on, am now in better position to do more Flying too.

So the house is now not too bad, much easier to do the basics and a few extras aswell as I don't need to clear up first!

Still loads to do but much is keeping on top of the general 'need to do' housework and can spend more time on the clearing out the rest of the excess.

    Thanks everyone.
