Ukash is now Paysafecard and you need to contact Paysafecard for a PIN if you still have credit on Ukash. Otherwise sign up for Paysafecard.
Scroll down to "Do you still have remaining Ukash credit?" in the following link:

I used this card over Christmas in Paris. It worked fine in all restaurants, shops, bars etc. Worked in the cash-points too with no problems. I topped it up in France too and it was on the card straight away.0 -

Heading to NYC for a week next month. Basically is it worth loading £1,000 (for example) onto a pre paid card () which I won't get charged for using in shops/restaurants and ATMs, or getting £1,000 cash converted into US dollars before I go and keeping it in the hotel safe, taking a chunk out with me every day?
After reading 17 pages of discussion on the topic, there is so much conflicting information on these cards, some people praise them and have used them for years, others have problems and can't get the card to work and can't access their money.
I'm only there for a week and I don't want to waste time on the phone sorting out a card that doesn't work. What happens if an ATM swallows the card or I lose it?0 -

You would be silly to rely on one card. I have had a card eaten by an ATM in the US (on the first day there) and cards just not work on other occasions.0 -

That is right. I took some cash too just in case as you never know. Fortunately mine worked every-time I used it. I should point out mine was in Europe though, France to be precise.0
