I'm travelling to the USA in 6 days. I would like to get a pre paid card to reduce the risk of losing money or it being stolen. I've read all this thread and the advice on the site. Revolut looks good but I don't think I've left enough time to get a card. On the site it says it's currently up to 10 working days. Can people recommend a card that I can get instantly, e.g. in a branch or the Post Office. Do people rate the Travelex cash passport? Thanks in advance.0

Get the Revolut. They can send you a temporary card if you are in a hurry. Just top up with £10. If it doesn't arrive in good time, you still have the option to get an instant card.0 -
Wanted to add my positive feedback for the Revolut card in the US, have just come back from 3 weeks in the States and used the card all along the West Coast in various sizes of shops, restaurants, bars and hotels without issue. The only place it was not accepted was at a single gas station so seemed to be an isolated issue. I'd use again for sure on future trips. Just hope they add more currencies.0

Hi. She doesn't have a card at the moment but, I am looking at the Revolution card. Would this be possible?0

I deposited £1000.00 to my Revolut card at 1230 today, the money showed instantly on my Revolut card but on checking this evening the money has not left my bank and when I contacted them they told me the payment had been approved but not collected by Revolut. I was not led to believe there would be a delay in processing my deposit and I require the money tomorrow to pay for my accommodation abroad. Can you tell me will I have access to my funds tomorrow?0

Hi all.
I felt it wise to give some details on an issue I'm having with the Revolut card....
I am on my honeymoon in America , however my revolut card does not work where shops and merchants use chip and pin. Their chip and pin machines say either card not recognised or pin invalid. The pin is 100% correct as I tested it in an ATM and matched on the app. Swiping the card does work as this!does not need me to enter the pin.
I have contacted the support team a few times to no avail.
Whilst the rates are great and the top ups are easy. This for me has meant quite a few issues where I have had to revert to using my normal debit card to pay for things.
Also this is not a one off, this has happened in every single store I have tried to use chip and pin. 100% failure.0 -
I felt I needed to add to my last post. I have still beenot trying to get my problem resolved. I have sent an email to the support team however it seems the reps using the chat function lack communication with each other. After Re explaining the problem on the chat function I was told to log out and log back in again. Upon doing so I clearly was with another rep...they asked what my problem was. I had just lost a good 15 to 20 minutes of chat and explanations and issue still not solved. I do not want to call from the US due to the cost and getting up early hours to talk on the app is not ideal.0

Just returned from a three week trip to Europe where I used Revolut as one of three currency options. Things worked very well and I was able to use the card in France, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Netherlands. It wasn't always plain sailing though - for some reason it was occasionally rejected, especially at Deutsche Bahn ticket machines. But most of the time it worked. I think a web interface is vital, especially with the risk presented by losing your phone.0
