So, I fixed the thing! I asked the consultant and she couldn't do it and I figured it out!!! I am awesome.

Melly- I hope you don't think I was being off about contractors. I was complaining about my company's policy of recruiting consultants instead of permanent staff leading to the situation where the people with all the knowledge go away. Well done on the job! That's brilliant.

Pyxis - that stuff about the enema makes me very glad about the not having babies thing. Did you really do that? Hope your bruising fades soon.

no Code, I had the same thought when I was employed but since I have been contracting I see how a third of what looks like a huuuuge amount goes away straight away lol.

I did mean to ask about the enema Pyxis. Not entirely sure which route you are meant to administer it by!
Baked some banana bread and wrote an old friend a five page letter. Now for a nap before attempting to take Little Sod for a walk to the post box

:o actually, I meant, to use them as a laxative, ie eat and drink them, not to shove them up your bum as an enema! :rotfl:
    Silly me!

Although I was given an enema as routine with my first! There's nothing to that anyway.....they just shove some liquid up your bum, you have to hold it in for as long as possible, while being close to a loo! Honestly, it's fine!

I don't think they give enemas as routine any more, unless it's all changed again! The thing is, that with all the pushing, you do sometimes pass a little bit of foecal matter, (as well as the big bit of foetal matter hahahahahaha!)

Sometimes, the bowel stimulation can start off an imminent labour. It's not foolproof, though!
I was 12 days over, and my doctor said I could!
Anyway, whether it was that or not, it all started quite soon afterwards!

Hello all and hello MR3 - it's my birthday today too so we are birthday twins! I know nothing about the syndrome your son has - can I ask about it or would you rather not talk about it?

So, me ok - plodding along - bit meh - c'est la vie and all that. I am not a big birthday fan and have been struggling with everyone keep asking me what I want to do for my birthday when all I want is to be left alone. I was hoping to go outside and play with all my lovely new birthday gift power tools but just as I ran the power cord outside it started to rain - poo-bar!

Have had to catch up on thread and can't remember who said what - but I can completely concur with the magic hammer theory - one of my rules of life is that "there is no problem that cannot be solved with a suitable application of force" (said tounge in cheek) - cannot tell you the amount of times I have solved a problem with a hammer! I think it was Calley who said her granddad used hammer, then blow torch - he sounds awesome!!
