What do you do to cope with your migraines Melly and Dragonette?
I get them quite regularly, usually triggered by points of light. We've had to change most of the light fittings in the house, and I once had to leave a job due to the florescent lighting.
The doctor gave me tablets to take when I feel one coming on, but they start too quickly for the tablets to have any preventative effect.
Lying down in the dark doesnt with for me as the room spins and I get very sick.
I do wonder if they are hormonal too as haven't had half as many these past few months.

There's medication you can take everyday to prevent them. That's what I currently take. It's horrible though.:( It's the only thing that works. I've been taking various stuff for it for about 2 years now. But I'm also having to take stuff for the side effects now.

And on that note - I posted on here that I tend to sleep a lot during the day even with plenty of sleep at night and I'm sure it's medication related. It was suggested that I take one tablet at night to see if that helps. It does, kind of. At least I'm not walking around town wanting to sleep.:o

    Happy birthday MR3!

Sorry you're struggling again WAS, your resilience is amazing so letting of steam when life feels really unfair is definitely allowed. Have one of Gitdog' extra special hugs - you may want to put a crash helmet on first.

    Happy birthday MR3
Two lots of cake needed in the fort as it's Gitdog's second Gotcha-ish day. (The ish is because I didn't record the day he crash landed because I wasn't keeping him.......and it's not too late to send him back, as I regularly remind him.......)

    Good morning Team WaS.

    Happy birthday MR3.

    How is the bruising Pyxis?

Cuddled up with the dog dreading work. Keep telling myself I only have 8 days to my holiday. I'm working on another project with a consultant and have decided to ask her for help with my problem. The consultants earn in a week what I earn in a month (don't even get me started on that one!) so hopefully her knowledge will match it.

Happy birthday MR3! How you have a lovely day.

Happy gotcha day Gitdog. I remember when you first started fostering him Elsien, and the updates on the pet board. There was no way he was going anywhere once he landed with you!

Big hugs for yesterday's slump Code, you're not an an idiot at all, you're very clever but got a little stuck and some kn0bber decided that instead of helping you up, they'd push you further down! When I used to do testing I'd often have to ask the Dev guys what I had to do to test the code and quite often would be made to feel like such an idiot for not understanding something immediately. I like to think that they weren't really being horrible and that I'm not really that much of an idiot, they just don't have brilliant social skills! :p Hope you get somewhere with the consultant, make her earn her money!

    Happy birthday MR3! :D

Happy Gotcha-ish day to Gitdog! :D

Glad WaSp made you feel better about everything WaS. There's really no need for you to worry... If anyone tried to take your benefits off you there'd be an angry group of MSEers storming Westminster with golden torches! ;)

Aw, Gitdog can can cuddle me anytime he wants, elsien! Happy Gotcha-ish day GitDog! I for one, am very glad you kept him!

How sweet of your daughter, MR3!

Good luck with the work today, code. Definitely ask the consultant for help and look forward to that holiday.

Katy! WaS needs cheering up! You know what would cheer WaS up, don't you? (Now?)

Aw, thank you, Birdie. The strange thing is I loved working, I was one of these annoying people who spoke enthusiastically about her job all of the time. It's just I know that I can't do it anymore and my consultants agree. It wouldn't be fair on the people I work with for a start because my health is too random for them to rely on me. Plus there is the small point that I hardly leave my flat and only do so under a blanket, nevermind the short term memory lapses which would make H&S quiver in their boots! Sadly, it would be dangerous for me and even potentially dangerous for my colleagues, I would probably set the place on fire in the first week!

    Hoppy Burpday MR3

Your my inspiration WaS (And I am obviously channeling hallmark)

Where are you Flybaby? No running away Mrs

I am tweaking this place to get it into shape then my plan is to bob in every so often (I like em thats why my OH thinks im being an idiot going to new place)

Code as someone whos been a consultant for awhile it looks like we earn tons but you have to take holiday and sickness and pay for your own professional development. On paper I have been minted this year but take those into account I was earning more in admin lol.

Gitdog is so handsome Elsien - Boo is back to his charming (here are my potatoes) best since a few weeks on yumuve I forget hes 8 or 9 (a rescue so who knows)
