  • Hahahaha! Awww, thank you Melly! I shall threaten my voices with you!

I hope the driving lesson goes well and that OH doesn't feel too bad today. Lack of sleep with OCD is awful, if I don't sleep well all of my rituals step up tenfold.

Try to have an easy day for both of your sakes and I really hope the noise is bearable. Also well done on the smoothie!

Banana, jam donut and a cup of tea for breakfast. Not a good start!

Doesn't seem too bad to me. Bananas are an excellent source of protein, donut will provide carbs and tea has some wonderful properties. Plus, if you have milk in the tea then that is calcium which is wonderful for your bones and your baby. You're in the late stages of pregnancy and your body needs resources to give you the energy for labour and to get through the first couple of weeks so don't be hard on yourself.

Today I had a glass of water and a cinnamon bun. Supposed to be helping DH paint the shed but I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open so me and DA dog are hiding.

WaS - you didn't murder anyone.

I had a very colourful dream last night - I dreamed I was working in a place that was like a zoo but it was serial killers rather than animals. I was in the early stages of a relationship with a guy named Sam but we had to keep it secret because the boss was this huge megalomaniac who was keeping me hostage. Then the boss decided to 'give' me to the most dangerous killer as a mate. I spent some time running from this guy while he tried to have sex with me before a friend of Sam's helped me escape from the zoo. Then I went into hiding for some time. When it was safe, I returned to find my Sam and crashed a party where he introduced me to his girlfriend - he'd been angry with me about the serial killer. So I went to talk to his friends and took my coat off and it turned out I was heavily pregnant. I told Sam it was his baby because I'd escaped from the serial killer before he could do anything and he believed me.

Then the dream skipped to me in hospital after I'd had the baby who was a boy. But the baby had a heart condition and was in an incubator. Then a 'nurse' came in and injected me with sedatives and took the baby out of the incubator. Sam and his friends realised something was up and stopped her and she admitted the boss of the zoo had heard I'd had a baby and thought he was the killer's so wanted to put him in the zoo. So we decided to do a DNA test to prove Sam was the father and kept a 24 hour guard around the baby. Sam went off to tell his girlfriend he had a son and finished with her and then he came back to the hospital and we named the baby Joshua. Then DH's alarm went off and woke me up.

  • What an interesting dream, Code! It is almost a compact little sci-fi novel! I immediately thought if I had the energy and the clear head I could turn that into a short story. I am sure parts of it were distressing but I am slightly jealous! I love dreams that turn into complete stories.

WaS - you didn't kill anyone, you haven't let anyone down, your former colleagues are probably feeling you are a huge loss to the profession, nobody hates you or is laughing at you, and in my experience you have enriched the lives of everyone by being a lovely person and explaining mental illness so beautifully

The voices are talking nonsense to make you feel bad, because they know you're making progress. My dad has a wonderful phrase for when people are annoying him "Awa' an bile yer heid!' (Go away and boil your head). Tell your voices that, preferably in as broad a Scottish accent as you can muster.

    Code WOW what a dream.

That would make a very good story.

I don't dream like that and hardly remember any of them.

Right need to go and shower and get dressed and put on my face to go out.

    Catch you all later

    Yours

I have a lot of dreams that are complete stories but when I try to pin them down on paper, it just doesn't work. There was a brilliant one about bank robberies that I had and it had a twist at the end, but I forgot to write it down and now I can't remember why it was so brilliant.

  • Hahahahaha! I just said that aloud code, in a very bad scottish accent and cracked myself up laughing. That cheered me up!

It could be a chemical blip today or it could be OCD related because that also causes me to obsess on the past. The annoying thing with many mental health conditions is you sometimes can't tell which one is causing what reaction. I don't want to take an extra anti-psychotic if it is OCD because not only won't it help it will give me unnecessary diawoowoo amongst other things which will probably trigger my IBS. I could just sit and sulk for a day with lots of cuddlies and chocolate?

We have the internet engineer turning up in hour with a brand new router. I shall be under the duvet with just my eyes peeping out until he has left.

Whenever I have had therapy I was told to keep a notepad by my bed and immediately record any dreams as soon as I woke up. I was amazed at how detailed some were, the only downside was I started wanting to sleep more to see what else my mind could come up with.
