Katy - frustratingly, for some reason some gp's still believe the old myth that you can't get shingles more than once, or chicken pox etc. I had chicken pox, shingles, chicken pox again (at 26), and have had shingles numerous times since (once with scarlet fever - that one was fun!!!)......all come stand next to me coz if there is an infectious disease on the go I will absorb it like a super hero sponge and you will all be perfectly safe!0

You can definitely get shingles more than once, Katy. WaSp has had it 3 times. You can also get german measles more than once despite a vaccination. I had it at 10, was vaccinated against it at 11 and still got it again at 13! I had ordinary measles and mumps in the same week when I was 9 thanks to infected cousins. Chicken Pox I avoided until I was 18 which was a nightmare because it makes you really ill by that age. Right in the middle of my A level exams. I took my Geography A Level with an exotic scarf stylishly wrapped around and hanging over my head and face so that no one could see I was covered in spots because for some reason I didn't want them to reschedule my exam. I was an idiot, I had a raging temperature, dizziness, sore throat and itching all the way through it.
I have added Inside Out to my potential film watching list! It will make a change from Gnomio and Juliette which I watch quite a lot (thank you, JM!). I still have to watch How To Train Your Dragon, too!
Big boobs are the bane of my life! Sleeping on my stomach is impossible and even laying on it for 10 minutes gives me a really bad back because of the angle. Clothes just look like baggy pieces of material hanging down from them and dresses are laughable. I was offered a reduction when I developed cervical spondylosis when I was 21 because of the strain they were putting on my already damaged neck. I so should have gone for it.
My entire food intake yesterday was a packet of dutch biscuits. Less said about that the better really...
In other news my sleep pattern is ruined again after my 17 hour sleep. This is so frustrating because I can't just stay awake until a normal bedtime, I become very weird if I stay awake when I am tired because my chemicals mess up so I can only readjust it by an hour or two at a time. If I am tired the voices increase and I start to see moving shadows and have all kinds of strange thoughts. This happens because my anti-psychotic dose is too low to fully control it, but I cannot take a higher dose because I react so badly to the medication so I have to use different ways to cope. My psychiatrist always says the most important thing that I can do for myself is get a good 8 hours regular sleep because that is when my brain fixes itself. I woke up at 1.30am to start the day. Errr, Morning!
Oh, and internet update. While I was asleep a van from our internet provider turned up, they dug a hole in the road and poked around in it, then filled it in again and left. Still no internet or tv and the company now has an answerphone message saying it is a complex issue and please stop calling us. Blimey... Mind. Blown! :eek:Yes Katy, it's never too early to go! As Solarjunkie says, it's good to find out as much as poss and hear all the different views and experiences! It's like being in a very select club, too!
Being in a club is right! I didn't BF so missed out on Friday morning boobie group as the ladies all called it and loads of the mums at the others groups I *was* allowed to go to with my heathen bottle fed baby knew each other already from the support group so I had to work doubly hard to get in with them! It'll be good to go down and meet some nice people, hope it goes well!
We saw Inside Out and I loved it. Littlewing enjoyed it but was a little young.
The other adults were roaring with laughter. Obviously parents of tweens!
My favourite emotion was Anger. I wonder if this was because he was cute or if it was because I was angry growing up and still seem to be working through some of it.
I really loved the film actually and I am not normally a fan of cartoons. I did think that Lucee would enjoy it, WaS. It would be interesting to know what all the folks in your head think of it, WaS. (Shame we can't use you as an experiment but it wouldn't be very ethical).
Glad to hear this! I think we're going to see it on Saturday, looking forward to it!
As for the boobie talk, I'm a member of the itty-bitty-t.tty-committee! I don't mind so much but I do get disheartened when I can't fill out a structured dress or swimsuit!I also struggle to find bras that fit, bra measurers always say I'm a C but I'm not really... my bust seems to be wide yet flat so when the wire fits properly underneath, the cup is looking for the boob to fill it! :rotfl:
Hope you've managed to have a 'mid morning' nap WaS!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Geet big shoulders and geet big bewbs here. Sick of paying through the nose for bras, especially sports ones!
My brain is having an odd moment. It wants to learn line dancing.

That's soooooo funny! Heathen bottle-fed baby! :rotfl:
It reminds me of a group I was once in, an appreciation society for cathedral choir singing......the majority were church-goers, but I and a few others weren't, we just loved the singing, so we called ourselves the Heathen Friends of Cathedral Choirs! It caused a hoot!
What with heathen bottle-fed baby, and the 'escapee' about to flee t'clink, this thread should be the funny baby thread! :rotfl:(I just lurve spiders!)
