    Ooh ooh!

I may have a tip for those that struggle sleeping.

I bought escapee a Ewan the Dreamsheep as they are supposed to help newborns settle. It plays white noise and womb sounds which are supposed to help babies sleep.

I've been playing it to the bump at night to see if it helps escapee get in to a sleep routine. It has had the added effect of sending me to sleep!

I've tried it 5 nights in a row now and it really does seem to work on me!

They are about £30 new, but I got mine second hand from eBay.

I don't know if it would help anyone but I know a few on here struggle with sleep like I do.

(Some of the sounds it makes are a bit odd and take some getting used to, so for anyone with auditory issues it might be worth being a bit careful)

Oooh yes, Ewan is lovely! We used to set him off every night for DS when he was in the room with us and it was so soothing; we really missed the white noise when DS (and Ewan!) moved into his own room! :o You can download white noise apps for phones if you want to give it a go without spending money! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Just had a call from Occupational Therapy, despite us not fitting into the type of assessment they do, not being able to fill the forms out, she has spoken to her manager and they are emailing the HA to advise them that they recommend we are moved.

    I cried.

It is JM, she had told me all she could do was email the HA to tell them it was an inappropriate assessment, instead they are doing a sort of report.

It was relief because it becomes harder to argue with us with an independent assessment onside.

    Dozed off upstairs.
Woke to the sound of plates and cutlery in the kitchen.
Got excited thinking hubby must be washing up or cooking.
There is only me and Little Sod in. I think he is doing his version of 'washing up' ...

I know the feeling HBS. Certain people in my workplace have zoomed up the career ladder despite being pretty rubbish but it's always the same people who get the promotions. Then you hear that someone in a job you can do is being promoted and you think "Great! I'll go for the job they're vacating!" but they either put it on level transfer so you can't apply or they give the job to someone on an informal basis where techincally it's temporary but it hardly ever is, or the job mysteriously disappears. A recent example - one of my colleagues had been covering a job for 2 years in the above temporary arrangement and management decided to fill it permanently. It was advertised as a level transfer so the woman who had been deemed good enough to do it for 2 years wasn't even able to apply.

It's pretty demoralising. Combine that with the crappy 1% payrises for the last 6 years and it's amazing they have any staff left.

    Evening my Lovelies,

I am not a broody person but did some baby cuddling today. Went and saw my step grand daughter. She is still so tiny and is -1 week old. And so cute.

Her mum is fab I knew she had her head screwed on. It seems even being born 8 weeks early and being in hospital for 5 weeks that it has not phased her at all. I wonder if it helped as it allowed her time to adjust.

Even grandad got to hold her today for the first time. I took some photos and he is so proud of both of them.

Well its his 1st grand child.

I am hanging at the moment. I did put a film on earlier and think I did doze. But feel like I have a hangover due to lack of sleep. Might take something to help with that and go to bed real soon.

I hope everyone else has managed to get through the day ok. I do hope we hear from MU real soon and she is managing ok. As I really do miss her as well as the others who are MIA.

Everyone take care and catch up with you tomorrow. And hope everyone gets some sort of rest tonight.

    Yours

    Calley
